At the conclusion of the last episode, I took it for granted that D was dead. Right at the beginning, Chance gets him to a hospital where, though comatose, he is expected to recover. As we move through this episode, we find out about decades of abuse for this man. We also find out that he has a whole different reality. Chance realizes that his family and those around him are in danger. D's father, his abuser, is also in the picture, wanting to get him off the streets and into an institution. Chance trusts a police investigator but soon realizes that this makes things more complicated. His sick pursuit of Jacqueline goes on. He can't see the forest for the trees. There are three episodes left. It's going to be quite a bumpy ride. D is out of commission and Chance is as unstable, in a different way, than his friend.

We're seeing some new developments here. I don't like Darius in this state, the show is at its best when he is spitting morals and craziness, but if this builds toward an explosive finale than it will be worth it.
We know Jackie/Jacqueline will not be all bad, this is just a twist to kill time. Hopefully something surprising happens with her though.
