“Hallelujah” is one of the most famous and iconic songs of all time, but still, Kristen Wiig can’t seem to sing the song properly. Wiig was a guest on “The Late Late Show With James Corden” on Wednesday night, and the duo wanted to spread some holiday cheer in these turbulent times by singing a rendition of Leonard Cohen’s classic. Everything went well, until Corden realized Wiig’s pronunciation of the word “Hallelujah” wasn’t quite right. See Video: James Corden's First-Annual 'Late Late Show' Christmas Giveaway Totally Sucks “I’m sorry, Kristen,” he said after he stopped the music.

Kristen Wiig butchered Leonard Cohen's "Hallelujah" during a duet with James Corden designed to bring world peace on The Late Late Show Wednesday.
The bit found Wiig and Corden easing through a soulful cover of the classic tune, though each time they arrived at the chorus, Wiig struggled to pronounce the song's most important word. First, she said "Hallelujah" with a hard "J," then sang it as "Holy-how-ya," and next "Holy-luau." While Wiig played oblivious, the mistakes compounded Corden's anger, especially when they threw off the performance's planned theatrical flourishes,...

Kristen Wiig might not be the best karaoke partner. While appearing on Wednesday's episode of The Late Late Show, the Downsizing star agreed to sing Leonard Cohen's hit "Hallelujah" with James Corden and try to bring a little peace to the nation. The song started beautifully. Corden, who's sings with celebrities on Carpool Karaoke, took the first verse while Wiig took the second. It wasn't until they got to the chorus that Corden noticed his guest was mispronouncing the word "hallelujah"—putting extra emphasis on the "j." Stopping the music, Corden told Wiig she wasn't pronouncing the word correctly. "Really I am?" the...

The nominees are in for the 60th Annual Grammy Awards, and music's biggest night will feature some of your favorite artists ...though some were snubbed.
Singer-songwriter Andra Day announced the four major categories -- Best New Artist, Record Of The Year, Song Of The Year, and Album Of The Year -- on Tuesday's CBS This Morning.
As far as snubs go, Ed Sheeran was only nominated for Best Pop Solo Performance for his track, "Shape of You," to the shock of many of his fans. Lady Gaga and Kesha also received minimal nominations, despite the popularity of their albums.
However, Jay-Z and Kendrick Lamar earned quite a few Grammy nods, as well as Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee's "Despacito" song that features Justin Bieber.

The Faithful is a lovely continuation of last week's religious elements, this time focusing on the women of National City while letting the question of faith take centre stage.
The episode jumped through time a bit in an attempt to pull a couple of fast ones on us, although the initial 'is this a flashback?' gambit didn't work quite well enough to be worth the move. That said, hero-worship seems like a natural occupational hazard for someone with powers, and as Kara pointed out, the difficulty of fighting faith makes for an interesting departure from the usual alien of the week.

Here at Et, we’re obsessed with a lot of things – and this is what we’re most excited about this week:
Why We’re Obsessed With ‘Hallelujah’
Leonard Cohen’s classic song gets the Vr treatment in this unexpectedly immersive and beautiful take on “Hallelujah.” Los Angeles-based musician Bobby Halvorson performs a five-part a cappella arrangement in-the-round, allowing the viewer to get a full 360-degree experience with the audio and visual changing depending on which direction the user is facing. First premiering at the 2017 Tribeca Film Festival in April, “Hallelujah” was released to the public on Cohen’s birthday. “Combining the transportive qualities of music with virtual reality results in an incredibly emotional and gripping experience, we hope the launch of ‘Halleujah’ will provide a chance for people to connect with the iconic ballad in an entirely new way,” Within co-founder and CEO Chris Milk said in a statement to Et.

Imagining the run-up to the 2016 presidential election without Alec Baldwin’s hilarious impersonation of Donald Trump on Saturday Night Live is like picturing the former Apprentice host without his questionable (yet signature) hairstyle, but the Emmy-winning actor has revealed that the iconic impression almost didn’t happen at all.
Writing for Vanity Fair‘s April issue — which also features Baldwin on the cover — the 58-year-old indicates he needed a bit of a push from longtime collaborators Lorne Michaels and Tina Fey to accept the gig, which nearly fell through thanks...

Leonard Cohen’s “Hallelujah” was a complex, nearly indecipherable musical riddle that flummoxed even its composer. Originally released as a funereal synth-laden dirge on 1984’s Various Positions, he spent years tinkering with the track during live performances in a relentless pursuit to unlock its full melodic potential. Ultimately, it was John Cale who provided the key.
The iconoclastic Velvet Underground co-founder, producer and innovative writer/arranger crafted an elegiac version of “Hallelujah” that vaulted the song into a rarefied strata of modern standards. Now he speaks to People about the song’s long journey.

LeAnn Rimes Patchogue Theatre for the Performing Arts, NY March 17, 2017
LeAnn Rimes performed last Friday night at the Patchogue Theatre for the Performing Arts, a beautifully (and recently) renovated former movie palace and Broadway style theater. At 1100 seats it is a warm an intimate venue.
Let me get this out of the way right away: LeAnn Rimes is incredible. It's one thing to hear her on record or see video clips, but to watch her in concert is a revelation. Her voice is amazing and my guess is that there isn't a pop singer alive with a better voice than hers, including Adele. LeAnn's pitch is perfect. The quality of her voice is so beautiful it is thrilling. It can be strong, powerful, soulful and sexy and then sweet, simple, fragile and disarming. Her range is incredible and she can growl when she needs to growl, belt when she needs...

We hate to break it to you, 2016, but no one is going to miss you.
You gave us a nightmare circus of an election, you took some of our most beloved entertainers — Debbie Reynolds, Carrie Fisher and George Michael to name just a few incredibly recent examples — before their time, and you ripped the headphone jacks right out of our iPhones. We asked for none of this.

Spike Lee has been an avid Bernie Sanders supporter, releasing ads and videos for the Vermont senator’s campaign. While Sanders lost the Democratic nomination to Hillary Clinton, and Clinton surprisingly lost to Donald Trump, Lee is still sticking by Sanders’ side and wants direction from him on what people should do next.
In an interview with Sanders for The Guardian, the filmmaker stated that Clinton lost because she believed she won the election before it ended.
“You know I love sports. I’ve seen it too many times, when a team thinks they’ve got it all won, just wrapped up, and you see players go down the sideline and start celebrating, and then they reach the goal line and fumble,” Lee said. “The Clintons – and I’m not asking you for a comment; this is my opinion – thought they had it won.
