It appears you can't take two steps before running over one of these people. Then there is the campaign manager for Jimmy Smits.

Episode 2 but you could be forgiven for thinking that even for 24, some of it is incredulous with plenty of contrived coincidences.
Grimes gives Carter the first option to buy the USB drive and gives him one hour to arrive with two million dollars. I think that is as much money Grimes can carry in his rucksack for the rest of his life. He is not the kind of guy who puts money in the bank.
Carter cannot rely on Rebecca to get the money to him on time, so goes to his brother Isaac. The drug dealer does not have that much cash lying around but tells him of a bust the police did recently and that they seized $4 million. All Eric has to do is get himself arrested and force the arresting police officers to take him to the evidence room, simple. But where did Eric get that bomb vest from?
Back at CTU, Mullins is freed and he orders the arrest of Rebecca and Shalowitz leaving Carter without any support and the police are on to him back at the station.
At Capitol Hill John Donovan learns from his father that his Muslim assistant Mizrani is a liability as she once attended a mosque which had a radical preacher.
Jadalla Bin Khalid, son of the slain Ibrahim is revealed to be the leader of the jihadi terror cell that is after the USB drive. He seems to have an Oxford university education but who let such a terrorist risk like him into the USA?
Back at Isaac's compound, Nicole is not safe. Aisha contacts a rival gang and offers them a deal to have Isaac killed.
