Still Grieving
Hitchcoc22 April 2021
Bojack has been given credit for the Secretariat movie and is looking for an Oscar nomination (even though he doesn't deserve it). But his mind is still back in New Mexico where he nearly slept with a teenager. He has an agent who is running his interview tour. He nearly makes a fatal mistake. Todd accidentally lands in Bojack's suitcase and ends up lost for a day looking for the ice machine at the hotel.

Mentioning.. a boat!!

This episode was a good introduction to season 3 and has all the elements i love about this show! It was both really hilarious at times as well as emotional and sad as BoJack still struggles to escape his past and the things he has done!

That scene in bed was perhaps my favorite in the episode! That was wherf the episode truely got my interest! BoJack is still haunted by the things he did in New Mexico! He really wants to correct that mistake and fears that he may never!

You cant stop feeling sad for BoJack! He just wants a happy life like everybody else, but he himself is preventing that!

Is it enough to just tell yourself to be happy?

Can one good evening save it all?

I would say decent start of new season ,however, not the best as it can do.

Funny but Disappointing

Warning: Spoilers
"Bojack Horseman" is one of my favorite shows ever, don't get me wrong. And there's nothing explicitly wrong with this episode, except for the fact that it seems tired. The show has broken the rules and had a fantastic season two premiere episode, "Brand New Couch." Unfortunately, however, the trend is not continued into the third season. The jokes were funny most of the time, but rarely intelligent. The show set such a standard for itself with its first two seasons, and while I don't expect every episode to live up to it, I was disappointed when the very first episode of the season didn't.

The other issue with the episode is its forgetfulness. Bojack has just been traumatized in New Mexico, and has found a new friendship in Todd, and now all of that is just... not a thing anymore? He still resents Todd, shows no remorse from the masterful "Escape from LA," and worst of all, Jill Pill was incredibly underwhelming.
