NBC’s The Office may have tied up many loose ends before the series concluded, but one nagging fan theory was that office pals Stanley Hudson (Leslie David Baker) and Phyllis Lapin-Vance (Phyllis Smith) hooked up.
Showbiz Cheat Sheet asked Baker and Smith if they thought their characters had a romantic tryst and they answered in a way that only Stanley and Phyllis would have tackled the question. “What would Bob (Phyllis’s husband) have done to Stanley?” Baker laughed.
“Stanley wouldn’t be sitting here today if that were true,” Smith sweetly added.

Smith and Baker, who remained close friends after The Office ended in 2013 can’t envision romance between Stanley and Phyllis. “Stanley would be in triage,” Baker joked.
“Or in a refrigerator,” Smith joked. Phyllis’s husband Bob Vance owned the Scranton business Vance Refrigeration.

Fans of "The Office" have been gifted yet another season of "Superfan" episodes, with Peacock updating the entire sixth season of the hit show with extended cuts. Back in 2021, NBC's comedy behemoth made its way onto the Peacock service after the company paid a hefty sum to pull the series from Netflix. As an incentive for viewers to sign up to the fledgling streamer, Peacock made the entire third season available as extended episodes with previously unaired material.
And while those initial third season "Superfan" episodes were previously available on DVD, iTunes, and Netflix, Peacock has continued to release further "Superfan" seasons that feature all-new, previously unseen footage. Season 1 was given the "Superfan" treatment back in April 2021, before season 2 hit the service a few months later. Once 2022 rolled around, amid Peacock's continued struggles to turn a profit, seasons 4 and 5 were updated, with Craig Robinson and Ed Helms, who played...

Though The Office initially had a rough start finding an audience, the show definitely found its footing in season 2. Over time, the show became extremely popular, and the cast and crew were praised for creating such a colorful comedy. Today, nearly a decade after the series finale, the show is still capturing hearts and finding new audiences. Thanks to streaming services, the mockumentary workplace comedy is more popular than ever. In fact, many people regard the show as one of the best sitcoms of all time. Thus, most people are surprised when they learn that the show doesn’t actually have that many Emmys.

Now that the U.S. edition of The Office ran for nine seasons and remains a binge-watching mainstay, it’s hard to remember viewers were skeptical at first. This was Hollywood trying to redo Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant’s classic British comedy. The Office creators approved the American version, though, and the U.S. show’s creator Greg Daniels said it was thanks to one of his episodes of The Simpsons.

Daniels was on the very first Television Critics Association panel for The Office before it aired in 2005. Prior to The Office, Daniels worked on The Simpsons and created King of the Hill. Daniels shared Gervais’ affinity for one of his Simpsons scripts.

Yes, Avatar: The Way of Water won the box office battle for the seventh straight week. Yes, it's now one of four highest-grossing films in history (the third James Cameron-directed film to achieve that). Yes, it will end up being one of the biggest domestic hits in history. Jim Halpert's proposal to Pam Beesly on "The Office" was one of the most anticipated moments of the entire series. So fans were completely caught off guard when the romantic moment seemed to come out of nowhere in an almost anti-climactic way. But it was always designed to be like that.
The proposal came in the fifth season premiere, "Weight Loss," after Andy stole Jim's intended grand gesture, by proposing to Angela during Toby's going away party in the fourth season finale, "Goodbye, Toby." At the time, Pam was living in New York, attending art school. According to author Andy Greene in the book "The Office: The Untold Story of the Greatest Sitcom of the 2000s," series creator Greg Daniels was the one that pushed for the proposal to unfold at the midway point between Scranton and New York City. But shooting "halfway between Scranton and NYC" proved to be quite the challenge,...

With mockumentaries like "The Office," the viewer gets used to seeing talking heads against a variety of backgrounds. It gives the eye something different to look at so it's not just drinking in the same static scene each time. While the focus is on dialogue, and the offices of the Dunder Mifflin Paper Company are somewhat nondescript, the talking head scenes in "The Office" actually contain a hidden clue about the fate of each character.

Few things are as unstoppable as "The Office." It's been years since the last time I went through the series, but the perpetual stream of gifs and memes makes it feel like the show truly never left.
Should your rewatch need an extra boost of Dunder Mifflin excitement, Jenna Fischer and Angela Kinsey have you covered with the podcast "Office Ladies," in which the pair extensively cover one episode every single week, dishing out all of the behind the scenes goodies any "Office" fan could ask for. The series is currently up to season 6 with "The Chump," but the episode...

Melora Hardin was eliminated one week shy of the “Dancing with the Stars” finale, but the “Office” alum is more disappointed with her scores for what turned out to be her final week than the result.
The actress and her partner Artem Chigvintsev earned a total of 72 points for their two semifinal dances — 36 each for their redemption dance, a rumba, and for their contemporary. For the former, they received glowing praise from the judges for her marked improvement since she first danced the rumba in the second week, but only Len Goodman, who mentored the pair for the routine, gave her a 10.
“It didn’t feel like they were judging our performance from who we are, what we came from and how we performed tonight,” Hardin told “Us Weekly” after Monday’s show. “It felt like instead they were just sort of almost making random choices. They said all these...

Action thriller, “Deliver Us From Evil” had a $10.6 million opening weekend in South Korean cinemas, lifting the country’s overall box office by 75%.
The film, directed by Hong Won-chan (“Office”) and starring Hwang Jung-min and Lee Jung-jae, was released on Wednesday and ran off with a $15.0 million total over five days. Measured by admissions, 1.39 million people bought tickets to the film over the weekend, and more than 2 million people were willing to brave anti-coronavirus restrictions between Wednesday and Sunday.
The film’s weekend score was achieved from 1,997 screens and accounted for 78% of the total market. Distribution is handled by Cj Entertainment.
The aggregate nationwide box office leaped from $7.68 million to $13.4 million, with two other local titles claiming top three spots. That stands in contrast with the mainland China market where box office has plateaued at $17 million for the past two weekends, and where there has yet to be a supply of strong new local titles.
