Liked Season 1 and 2
lamaramani16 April 2020
Warning: Spoilers
I extremely enjoyed season 1 and 2 but when it comes to season 3 and 4 it removed most of my favourite characters including Jorge, Tiffany, Xander and in season 4 it removed the Ross kids the main point I watched the tv show in the beggining.

gone on too long
cb-226225 May 2021
Absolutely no offense to the cast, they have some talent, and they're all my age, so I want to see them succeed. But.... this show has gone on way too long. It was initially a spinoff of JESSIE, which I loved growing up (RIP Cameron Boyce), and now it's gotten more seasons than JESSIE ever did. Please just cancel this and renew both Raven's Home and Coop and Cami Ask the World.

They Ruined The Show
connorwhearn6 May 2021
Ok so season 1 and 2 were awesome, but they made season 3, got rid of Tiffany, Xander, Griff, Jorge, and Gladys with no explanation. Hazel, Murphy and Lydia make 1 appearance after this though. But they replaced them with TERRIBLE actors with awful personalities. They even gave the, the same personalities Matteo who is not athletic *cough* Ravi *cough* and Destiny who only cares about fashion *cough* Emma *cough* and then Finn the messy, adventurous, bad kid *cough* Jorge *cough* I thought at least the Rosses and Lou were still there and season 4 comes out and Ravi, Zuri, and Emma are gone. And we get Ava, Noah, and Gwen. I mean Gwen grew up with wolves! Noah who is a struggling actor who is basically a male Jessie. And Ava who is a city girl *cough* Ravi, Emma, and Zuri *cough* So in my opinion it is ruined and will NOT GET BETTER. Unless they bring back the original cast the show will remain to suck!

Season 3 ruined a great show
diana30357419 June 2018
If it isn't broke don't fix it. They removed everything that made this show great then didn't even address where all the missing characters were. The new characters are not at all a good replacement. I'd rather they had just ended the show at the end of season 2.

Ruined Now...
drcjsloannuh9 July 2018
Warning: Spoilers
Bunk'D Was always cheesy and unreal, but it was funny and entertaining. But NOW, after the great Season 1 And Season 2, they've RUINED the show. They eliminated the best charecters: Jorge, Tiffany, Xander and Griff. Now it's just Lou, The Ross Kids and some new charecters whom are LITTLE KIDS. This show is ruined and is dangerously un entertaining. Don't even give Season 3 A Chance And Go Watch Something Else. RIP Bunk'D

Season 4 Isn't As Bad As People Say
bulldogboy-2923027 July 2020
Season 1 and 2 were pretty good. Season 3 was meh. Season 4 is also pretty good. I don't have a probably with Matteo, Destiny, or Finn. One of the reasons I like season 4 is because they got rid of the racist stereotypes. The stereotypes in Bunk'd were a smart Asian kid with strict parents and a filthy whatever race Jorge is, sorry not sure. I like the new characters, Ava, Noah, and Gwen. Lou was the best added character in the 1-3 seasons so I'm glad she's back.

Season 3 & 4 SUCK
wallyrootbeer-411905 July 2019
Bunk'D was actually not a bad spinoff until Season 3 came. Disney got rid of Xander, Jorge, and Tiffany with no explanation and they were probably the most interesting part of the show. So Disney decided to replace them with these three bland kids who can't even act. Then what does Disney do for Season 4, they take away the Ross Kids! WHAT?! Wasn't this spinoff about the Ross Kids because it's a spinoff to Jessie. Now we only have Lou and six other bland kids. Lou is probably the only one keeping this show from failing. This show started out good then sucked by the third season. I recommend the first two seasons but don't watch the two new seasons.

Fun Spin-Off of Jessie!
WitchMtn5 September 2019
This is a great show with clean humor. It doesn't speak down to viewers or drag in sexual content or abusive language to get shock value. I wish all TV could be like this! I hope there will be at least another season. As with so many Disney TV series, I can't find it on DVD or Blue Ray. I do not have much money to spend, but this is certainly one that I'd buy on disk in a heartbeat!

great show and learning experience
churchjohn-5041728 April 2016
Warning: Spoilers
I think Bunk'd is one of the best of the sitcoms. Emma, Zuri, ravi and Jorge are great performers and very talented. I only have one complaint- Why was Tiffany excluded from 4 episodes, she's my favorite.

The show does not stereotype, the actors auditioned and were chosen to fit the character. I think it shows diversity and how our younger children do not care about color or nationality they are friends despite that, a lot of us adults could learn from that alone.

Keep the show going and my favorites are Zuri and Tiffany.

The show gives children an idea of what life is like when you are away from the comfort of your home. How to get used to meeting new friends, and life in the wilderness. top Disney show.

Season 3 and 4 is not that bad.
brynnalexism15 June 2020
You all just don't want to watch Season 3-4 because apparently it's bad now? What? Give 3&4 a chance. Just because Xander, Tiffany, Jorge, and the Ross Kids are not there doesn't mean the show is bad now.

end this show ASAP
serena-muffin17 June 2016
Really awful show. No redeeming qualities. I get that it's just Disney channel but c'mon... The dialogue is sub-par and the kids that scream it aren't much better. They take Ravi's stereotyping too far. I'm not Indian but I'm pretty sure they don't carry samosas around all day in their pockets...I mean really Disney? how did that get in the script?? So many characters embody the worst aspects of immaturity and barely make up for it, if at all. I guess I'm glad I watched this so I can make sure my kids won't... Shows only get worse it seems. These kinds of shows will only hurt the younger generation and ruin their values. Nowadays television is where it starts. This i sad.

One of the best shows on Disney channel
laralr-8068530 June 2016
Unlike most of these exaggerated reviews, I think that Bunk'd is a great show for kids. Even I enjoy it while watching it with my younger brothers. I also like that it's not a musical. Sure some guitar songs here and there but they have a different story in every episode and it brings back old memories of my summer camp experiences. The only thing that would bother me would be the Asian stereotype of Tiffany. Other than that, I think it's great! I even went from hating Emma in Jessie, to loving her in bunk'd. The character development is good too. I love how it's just kids having fun at camp with no singing careers, super spies or super powers. I rate it an 8 out of 10 and recommend it for families in need of a laugh.

Season 1 and 2 were the best, season 3 was also ok, but season 4 was not good at all. They literally removed everyone from season 1 except Lou

SEASON 3-4 RUINED A GREAT SHOW
jdvwxtrjs31 January 2021
The main reason people watched Bunk'd is because this show was a lead up to Jessie. Not only did Season 3 get rid of 3 good side characters, SEASON 4 WAS THE MOST DISAPPOINTING SEASON OF ALL. We only watched this show to see what happened to the kids after Jessie. Once Zander, Jorge and Tiffany left it was still acceptable. But these kids were still so unfunny and so uninteresting. Finn and Matteo are the most unfunny of all. Once the Ross kids leave, we are stuck with these annoying 6 kids and unfunny kids with 1 okay character, Lou. I see reviews saying this is realistic and "anthology", but if you wanted to watch a realistic show, WATCH TLC. That is like asking LOONEY TUNES to be REALISTIC. We only watched this show to see what happened to the Ross kids, and after they left this show went down the drain. NOW we are left with these six unfunny and annoying kids with only one good character. Season 3 had the only exception.

what the heck?!
akidonyt31 January 2021
I usually have tv shows on in the background, i dont always sit down to watch a show. i used to have disney channel on and watch it, the channel got kinda boring and the shows got terrible. anyhow i used to have bunk'd on in the background while i'd either draw or just sleep. i'd put it on from netflix and every time id skip the 3rd season.

my 1st problem, season 3- so the third season, where do i even start... the kids, they added in these really high pitched annoying kids, there just so blah and annoying, and they got rid of tiffany, xander and jorge. and the episodes are just so stupid and boring. the worst thing is they added in the younger kids, the acting is terrible. and the cabins, ew.;l

my 2nd problem season 4- WHERE ARE THE ROSS KIDS!? they literally got rid of the best characters. and again the characters are boring. at least they are older and more decenter at acting.

my 3rd problem season 5- ok why, you're continuing a terrible show. i personally haven't seen season 5 because i just think it'll get worse and worse, but i have seen pictures. the kids look way older and personally i think people ages like 9-13 will work for the show, the other part is destiny has her kid face but a 12 year olds body, finn just looks taller and still has his kid face and matteo just looks like a 7yr old still.

in my opinion don't watch past season 2

seasons 1/2 were amazing. after that? it sucked
anjana-4014416 June 2023
Warning: Spoilers
I loved jessie. It was such a staple of my childhood, i knew i had to watch bunk'd when it came out. Seasons one and two were amazing, with the classic rosses coming back to replay their beloved roles, with some funny add-ons like xander, tiffany, and jorge. I really liked the romantic storyline between emma and xander and tiffany and jorge were the best disney side characters one could ask for. This show was flying high... until season three came out and turned this into a cheesy dumpster fire. Finn is like a rip-off of jorge, except not funny and just gross. Destiny is a rip-off of zuri except she didn't play it well and is just a brat. She has a bit of emma's fashion sense but, again, isn't as iconic as either of them and just seems like a copy. Mateo is like ravi and tiffany, being smart and cautious, but he's just annoying. All of these new characters are just annoying, bad, worse counterparts to the beloved characters of the first two seasons. It's just like, if you're going to take away characters we like, at least replace them with ones we've never seen before! If all you're going to do is copy the old characters and make them worse versions of themselves, you should have ended it after the first two seasons. And you know what? One of the worst parts is that there's no explanation for this. Xander, emma's boyfriend, disappears out of thin air and we're supposed to think she forgot about him? They broke up? He moved? Like, you can't build relationships and friendships and expect them to magically go away without some questions or at least a reason why. And as for the characters that come in the later seasons, past season three, i don't know. I didn't even watch those episodes because this show has gone off the rails. Just ask anyone, they'll tell you the same thing.

Bunk's or Junk'd
RyanWinter10030 September 2016
I would say the dialogue and story lines of this show is for the three- year-old. But I would be insulting three-year-old kids. There is no excuse for the ridiculously silly dialogue of this show. I believe this program is linked to the other Disney show JESSIE. It has the same corny infantile scripting. In JESSIE, the character Jessie had some of the worse dialogue in the history of Disney. Cartoon squirrels had more meaningful and funnier lines. But this show has gone to a new lower level. It must take the writers 10 minutes to produce these scripts. If I were forced to say something positive, I would compliment the sets. They OK.

Surprisingly funny
AdrienneGrayceMusic23 June 2018
I am a grown woman and I watch this show! I loved Jessie, too. I followed the show into this spinoff of Bunk'd. I got sucked into Jessie and Bunk'd by having my nieces and nephews over and they watched it. It is a little cheesy and unrealistic, but its a disney kids show for crying out loud..not an emmy-worthy show by any means. I love Emma, but Zuri is my fave character.

A Great Show For Three Seasons
mfreburg-946-13754123 April 2024
Warning: Spoilers
BUNK'D Seasons 1-3 Rating 9 Seasons 4-6 Rating 3

Bunk'd is a spin-off of a previous Disney TV series called "Jessie." "Jessie" was about a nanny (wannabee actress) who oversaw the four children of the wealthy Ross family in NYC, but ultimately was chosen for a job in Hollywood. Three of the "children," Emma (Peyton Roi List), Ravi (Karan Brar), and Zuri (Skai Jackson) moved on to "Bunk'd," a story about a summer camp in Maine where their parents had met years before. The fourth brother, Luke (Cameron Boyce) stayed in NYC over the summers to attend summer school. (In real life, Boyce passed away in 2019 from complications due to epilepsy). Boyce did make a couple guest appearances on Bunk'd before his passing.

If you've read the many reviews here, you'll read things like how stereotypical and racist Bunk'd was. People who complain about that are usually looking for something that isn't there. They WANT to find these things. These critics bad-mouthed nearly every character in this TV series, and made every character sound as bad as they possibly could. If you are familiar with Disney, you know that this would not be something of which they would be guilty.

One silly complaint concerned Karan Brar. "Ravi" in the show was an orphan from India, and Brar is an Indian-American in real life with family from India. I think the haters who criticized him are simply wrong when criticizing his accent.

I read many other hateful comments in the reviews as well. If you can find something bad to say about someone or something, putting it into your review seems to be the reason SO many people here write reviews. Why?

Moving on, my family found Bunk'd quite entertaining in Seasons 1-2. I would suggest that the character group was best at that time. We still watch those reruns on Netflix. Were those episodes perfect? Of course not. Somewhat true to form, Disney did engage in their "burp & fart" brand of humor, which not all parents and grandparents find entertaining or appropriate. It depends on the ages of any kids you have watching. One or two reviewers complained about overt sexuality on the show between Emma and her camp boyfriend Xander (Kevin Quinn), and a third party, Head Counselor Hazel (Tessa Netting). This was also simply untrue. There was simply nothing at all inappropriate for teens or even tweens, the target audience. There is even an episode where there is an aborted crush Tiffany (Nina Lu) and Ravi supposedly ages 11 and 15. This is handled very nicely, realistically, and cleanly as well.

Season 3 had a minor disappointment, as Emma's boyfriend Xander disappears without explanation, as do a couple of mainstay campers--Tiffany (Nina Lu) and Jorge (Nathan Arrias). Another reviewer mentioned that it is common in real life for campers to come and go at summer camps, and that's true. However, Disney NEVER explains what happened, at least to Xander, as we had been led to believe that Emma and Xander were a serious couple. A sentence or two from Emma by way of explanation would have been appreciated.

In Season 3, in a bit of a convoluted carryover from Season 2, the Ross kids become owners of the camp. The camp had experienced a small fire at the end of Season 2, and the owner had taken the insurance and skipped town. Being the children of rich parents, the Ross kids had their mom buy the camp. In a bit of a hard to believe episode (but it's Disney), the campers themselves rebuilt the two burned down cabins better than ever (and no other campers stuck with older cabins apparently complained?) and a new series of storylines presented themselves.

This was 2018, and although playing younger, List was actually 20 years old at the time. At season's end, I suspect List was tired of Disney--vice versa is possible--but in my opinion, List did a fine job for them for six years. So at season's end, all three of the "Ross kids" moved on to other things and said goodbye to the camp. At least it was explained this time.

I saw some of Season 4, but I strongly believe that with Emma, Ravi, and Zuri gone, "Bunk'd" was on its last legs. I didn't enjoy Season 4--I just didn't. "Emma" came back for one episode in Season 5, but that script was not well written in my opinion. I enjoyed seeing her, but the show was past its prime by then.

Frankly, I stopped watching "Bunk'd" once the Ross kids were written out. Especially as multiple characters came and went, the show just got tedious. I couldn't believe it when the entire show was moved from the camp in Maine and relocated to a ranch out west. (What?!) I would vote along with those who suggest that after three years, a once great show was ready to call it a day. Actors grow up and move on. Perhaps a new target audience grows into the viewership role, but as one who saw all three years of Jessie and three years of Bunk'd, but then caught a smattering of later seasons of Bunk'd, I truly believe the series went down the drain. More's the pity.

If at all intrigued, do check out Seasons 1 through 3.

How did this get a 3rd season?
zarrnedd24927 July 2018
Wow where do I even begin...this show is so bad.

The show has basic kiddie com humor that I'm not mad at, but I AM mad at the godawful characters. Zuri & Emma are the same as they were in Jessie, but their 7 & 13 year old personalities DO NOT belong in their 14 & 20 year old bodies; Ravi, Tiffany & Jorge, are just flat out racist stereotypes; and Lou is the weakest protagonist I've seen on Disney Channel.

There's no consistent plot to the show & the characters never change, so if you've watched 1 episode - you've pretty much watched all of them.

The 3rd season's sudden & unexplained replacement of Tiffany, Jorge & Xander with 3 young children was odd...none of the characters have developed enough for them to just leave like that. The show should've just ended after season 2 if there was problems with some of the cast not wanting to return.

Two seasons are more than enough
lagranluzazul26 August 2016
The reason why this show doesn't work is not the fact that the action is developed in a little restricted area place instead of big New York (if it were for that, "Gilligan's Island" should have been cancelled after the first season). The reason this show doesn't work may be very simple. In "Jesse", the relationship between the nanny and the charges is the starting point for the funny situations, because the nanny can be a little wacky but preserves intelligence enough to display. In "Bunk'd", however, the camp counselor, portrayed by Miranda May, is an idiot (I'm not talking about Miranda, but her character), leaving all responsibility of the show on the kids. But with Emma just worrying about her maybe-or-maybe not boyfriend, Zuri trying to swindle money from other campers and Ravi not knowing what to do, there's little space for laughs. Finally, I should say that if there's some running show that should have been cancelled after just one season (as happened with So Random), that show was Bunk'd, but they're lucky, a second season is running now. But it doesn't surprise me at all from Disney. Actually, what really surprises me is that this show comes from the same producers of "Jesse" and the pilot was written by the same staff from "Austin & Ally".

BUNK'D JUST SUNK'D IN THE OCEAN FAST!
lizzie-2558825 March 2018
I am a big fan of Jessie, and was hoping for the spin-off series to be good, but i just couldn't like it. This show is so awful, the parts supposed to be funny are just so cringey, you will literally DIE. And if that isn't enough to make you not watch this, well then, just watch clips of the ugly fat boy Jorge, trust me you will regret every single second of time you waste on this garbage.

A filler show where you have nothing else to watch
TheMask1016 July 2019
Bunk'D's predecessor, Jessie, was a really good show. It was one of the best Disney shows. Bunk'D is a pretty decent show. It's not terrible. The first seasons were fine. then from Season 3 it is like what? But the later seasons aren't that bad. It 's good to watch that show when there is nothing else to watch.
