Its beginning to bother me that tommy as a gypsy himself, almost never understands what is or what brings bad luck. Curly is the one who constantly brings it to im (but its always to late)... In this episode its the killing of a stag thats a bad luck; Last season Curly had a bad feeling when they went to buy a horse, and we all know how that one ended!!! You would think Tommy wpould take more about that sort of things, being a gypsy soul and everything. It's almost a recurring theme, season to season by now!!! Clever man and a boss he is, but this stuff keeps slipping away from him!!!

So... This episode was not too bad, even if it wasn't a highlight.

So... This episode was not too bad, even if it wasn't a highlight. This episode was a rougher watch, but it was worth it. It's so interesting, and these characters are very exciting to watch. Tommy was so interesting, because this episode was one of his lowest points. Arthur and John were quite interesting, and I honestly hope they get the lives they're promising to their wives.... But I don't think that'll happen, just knowing how the show goes. Polly was awesome this episode, and she is so layered... I kind of hope she and Oliver will end up together. Finn, Ada, and Micheal were very good, crucial people this episode, and I'm wondering how the plot will end up. This robbery plot is a little complicated, but it's engaging and twisty. The villians here are... An escalation. Tatiana is someone who I have... Mixed feelings for. She's nuanced, but I'm pretty damn sure she's not a very good person. As for Father Hughes... Every episode, I hate him more, especially since he A. Threatened Tommy's son, and B. I'm pretty sure they're implying that he's... Doing some very bad thing, but I don't want to read to much into it... Yet. So... This episode was pretty good, and the scene with Lizzie, Polly, Esme and Linda was pretty good, as I'm invested in all of their characters. I'm interested to see how this season will end, due to how all of the plots and emotions are going, so, this episode kept me hooked.
incredible & emotional

The sound of Tommy's skull cracking will haunt me for the rest of my days

That duchus was crazy for real. In real life I think she was the only direct Royal who survived the revolution. That skull cracking still makes me cringe. Sickening. I hated the Priest so much this season lol. Bad Polly just had to go to confession. The point of the Russian dinner isn't that it's suspicious like the priest knows, its just the sight of tommy looking lower and knowing he has no power is what matters to the priest. Its to embarrass tommy. And its on tommy why Polly told the priest, he shouldn't have told anyone just like he didn't tell anyone besides Polly, he just thought she could take it but no he doesn't know she's dealing with trauma as well.

Thomas is the head of the most powerful gang but still doing he's dirty job and stupidly.
He can plan a complex operation but a single hit he just go.
Also what's with all girls now rising and yelling like he's nobody? Was this a feminist episode to make some point clear about girl power?
This season feels forced.

I get writers have to challenge the suspension of their audience's disbelief every once in a while if they're to be able to continue creating engaging drama... But when that's done, it should be within reason & the basic fact that Steven Knight ignores here is Thomas Shelby would certainly be dead after this episode.
Russian henchmen have crushed his skull against a wall until it's fractured & he's suffering from concussion, internal bleeding & his brain's haemorrhaged... Yet somehow, he's able to remain conscious, walk home, make several phone calls, travel to London, get his affairs in order & sort things out before succumbing to his wounds? Please.
The chances of survival - after suffering a catastrophic head injury - in modern times are still less than promising (with all the new technological advances we've made in science & medicine)... So in the 1920s, that would've definitely been fatal. Hence, his guaranteed survival is nothing short of ridiculous.
