Legendary actress Sharon Stone has performed many memorable roles in classic films in her four-decade-long career. Known as a s*x symbol in her heyday, the actress has worked with acclaimed directors such as Martin Scorsese, Wes Craven, Steven Soderbergh, and more. She received an Academy Award nomination for her role in Casino.
Stone had claimed long back in 2016 that she was part of a Marvel film. At the time, she had revealed that her character’s superpowers were related to heat and that she could not divulge a lot of information due to contractual obligations. While she is yet to be seen in an MCU film, a theory states that James Gunn might have cut her role from Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2.

Sharon Stone’s Basic Instinct role almost broke her, but it also made her into a mainstream Hollywood star. The film was praised for its performances and editing, while the s*xually explicit content became controversial. Only Douglas’ name appeared on the film’s poster, but that move helped her in a weird way.

Sandra Hüller says a sex scene involving her character Sandra and her lawyer Vincent almost made it into “Anatomy of a Fall. The Oscar-nominated actress told Variety that the courtroom drama, which is up for Best Picture, originally had a sex scene involving her character Sandra and her defense lawyer (Swann Arlaud), who has gone viral by way of the “Fleabag” “hot priest” on the internet.
While Hüller credited writer/director Justine Triet’s film for having a “perfect script,” she and a producer found one planned scene to be particularly “dull”; the sequence ultimately was scrapped. “There was an actual love scene in the film, we could see their affair,” Hüller said of her widow character Sandra and her attorney. Hüller added that producer Marie-Ange Luciani disagreed with the scene, and it was not included in the film.

A24 has confirmed that they’re re-teaming with Halina Reijn, the director of their slasher satire Bodies Bodies Bodies, on a erotic thriller called Babygirl – and an impressive cast has already been assembled for the film. Here’s the line-up: Nicole Kidman (Being the Ricardos), Antonio Banderas (Desperado), Harris Dickinson (The Iron Claw), Sophie Wilde (Talk to Me), and Jean Reno (Léon: The Professional).
According to Deadline, Reijn will be working from a screenplay she wrote herself. The story she crafted for this one centers on a successful CEO who begins an illicit affair with her much younger intern. Given the “thriller” part of the “erotic thriller” description, we have to assume that this affair goes terribly wrong in some way… probably in a way that involves more than just hurt feelings.

Fresh off last year’s Bodies Bodies Bodies, A24 and director Halina Reijn are back together for Babygirl, an upcoming erotic thriller that has one hell of a cast attached at this time.
Nicole Kidman, Antonio Banderas and Harris Dickinson are confirmed to star after much speculation, while Sophie Wilde (Talk to Me) and Jean Reno round out the all-star cast.
Reijn wrote the screenplay and will also direct Babygirl.
In the film, “A successful CEO begins an illicit affair with her much younger intern.”
David Hinojosa of 2Am will produce alongside Reijn of Man Up Film and A24, who is financing the project. Julia Oh, Zach Nutman and Christine D’Souza Gelb of 2Am will serve as executive producers. This marks the second collaboration between Halina Reijn and A24 after her satirical slasher Bodies Bodies Bodies, also produced by Hinojosa.
A24 also acquired Reijn’s directorial debut, Instinct.

1993 was a banner year for Sylvester Stallone. The Hangover star Mike Epps was stopped by airport police after a loaded gun was found in his possession.
Federal agents confiscated a loaded gun found in the hand luggage of the actor and comedian, who was trying to board a flight at Indianapolis International Airport, airport police said.
On Sunday (5 March) morning, Transportation Security Administration officers discovered a Smith & Wesson .38-caliber pistol inside Epps’s backpack, according to airport police.
The firearm was loaded with four rounds of Hornady .38 Special ammo, but none was under the firing pin, the police report said.
Epps, 52, told agents at the Tsa checkpoint that he had forgotten he had the weapon in his bag.
Agents seized the weapon but did not arrest Epps. Airport officials did not say where Epps was flying to or if he was travelling alone. The Tsa forwarded the case to the Marion County prosecutor’s office to consider if charges are necessary.

Sharon Stone has recalled the backlash she endured after starring in Basic Instinct, including the legal consequences she claims it had.
Her breakout role in the 1992 erotic thriller as crime novelist Catherine Tramell – who seduces the detective (Michael Douglas) looking into her for the grisly murder of a rock star – led Stone to become one of Hollywood’s most popular sex symbols of the Nineties.
On a new episode of iHeartPodcast’s Table for Two with Bruce Bozzi, Stone spoke about the repercussions she faced after leading the film.
She said the worst consequence of all was losing custody of her then-eight-year-old adopted son, Roan Bronstein.
In 2004, Stone and her ex-husband Phil Bronstein were embroiled in a long-running legal battle over primary custody of Roan.
The now-64-year-old actor remembered the judge asking her son whether he knew “[his] mother makes sex movies”.

Sharon Stone is throwing, well, stones.
The “Basic Instinct” star revealed she has worked with “misogynistic” male co-stars over her decades in Hollywood but was quick to point out that her fellow “Casino” actors Robert De Niro and Joe Pesci were exceptions.
“I’ve worked with some of the biggest stars in the business, who will literally talk through my close-up, telling me what they think I should do,” Stone told Variety. “They’re so misogynistic — now, that is not Robert De Niro. That is not Joe Pesci, that is not those guys. But I have worked with some really big stars who will literally talk out loud through my close-up, telling me what to do.”
She continued, “They just will not listen to me, and will not allow me to affect their performance with my performance. That’s not great acting. I mean, I get that you’re great...

Aubrey Plaza has a history with "Saturday Night Live" that goes back to her earliest days in show business. In addition to serving as an NBC page, just like Kenneth Parcell on "30 Rock," the "Parks and Recreation" star also served as an intern for "SNL" from 2004-2005. While working with the set design department, she made a brief appearance as a background player in one of Kristen Wiig's "Target Lady" sketches. So it's a proud full circle moment to have Plaza taking the stage in Studio 8H to make her debut as an "SNL" host in the first episode of 2023.
Though Plaza didn't mention her brief screentime on "SNL" during her monologue, she did reflect on the coveted internship and reunited with the set design department in the recurring monologue premise that has the host taking the audience on a tour of the studio. The opening bit set...

Ti West's "Pearl" won't be hitting shelves as a home release for a few more weeks, but if you missed either of the filmmaker's Hollywood-inspired slashers in theaters this year, you'll still be able to witness the madness and genius from the comfort of your own home soon. A24 has just announced that they'll be screening a double feature of "X" and "Pearl" in the A24 Screening Room this Thursday, October 20, so you can get that movie theater experience without facing the crowds or paying for overpriced popcorn.
Tickets for the double feature cost 20, which may seem like a lot for what amounts to two digital rentals (the screenings come with a nine-hour viewing window beginning at 3pm Pdt), but it'll give you the chance to see "Pearl" five days before its digital release and a few weeks ahead of its Blu-ray and DVD release. Warning: This article contains major spoilers for "Bodies Bodies Bodies."
Get Rachel Sennott, Amandla Stenberg, Maria Bakalova, Pete Davidson, Myha'la Herrold, Chase Sui Wonders, and Lee Pace in a room together on a cold, rainy night, and you have a wickedly clever whodunnit that skewers this friends group as viciously as they skewer one another. The sophomore feature from director Halina Reijn ("Instinct") is a hilarious Gen Z mashup of Agatha Christie and "Scream" that gives this wonderful ensemble a lot of room to stretch their comedic chops in addition to their actual chops.
Between the torrential downpour, the power outages, and the secluded mansion up in the mountains, "Bodies Bodies Bodies" features the perfect setup for a straightforward slasher about a group of 20-somethings trapped in an isolated location. But it quickly becomes clear that Reijn is much more interested in the psychological whodunnit conundrum of the hurricane party gone horribly wrong.

The animation team behind the "Dragon Ball Z" anime would encounter their own set of challenges with every new change Goku had in the hit shounen anime. Naveen Andrews is back in the Emmy conversation for his layered work in the Hulu limited series “The Dropout.” The actor plays Sunny Balwani, the real-life COO of the infamous biotech company Theranos, founded by disgraced entrepreneur Elizabeth Holmes, who was also his girlfriend at the time. The series exposes how Holmes was not alone in creating a false image of Theranos, with Balwani responsible for perpetuating a toxic work environment behind the scenes. The role is a juicy one for Andrews, who could find himself an Emmy nominee again for the first time after 17 years.
