Gorilla Monsoon takes over for Vince McMahon as play by play commentator starting with this episode. Alas, Randy Savage is still the color commentator. The first match is Diesel facing jobber Mark Thomas. Todd Pettengill gives the King of the Ring Report. The 1-2-3 Kid faces Nikolai Volkoff in the only competitive match of the night. Yokozuna squashes Nick Barbary. Typhoon squashes the Black Phantom. Jerry Lawler's guest on the King's Court is Duke "The Dumpster" Droese. This was actually the most entertaining segment of the show. The Heavenly Bodies Make short work of Ross Greenberg and Jim Powers. Gorilla Monsoon apologizes for the violence during the King's Court (but that's what made it entertaining!). The show ends with Ted DiBiase cutting a promo on Lex Luger. Too many boring segments, as usual.
