A must watch movie.

An excellent tribute to ysr. Movie depicts how ysr continues to live in AP heart. A wonderful depiction and life which even an outsider can love and cherish. Performance by mammotty is at par. He lived in the character. An excellent direction off course. The last few moments in the movie will take you through an emotional ride. Kudos to the whole team of Yatra.

My respect for ysr has raised after watching movie as I earlier thought him as a normal political leader. But the pain he felt for the peoples problems shown in the movie is excellent. Mammootty and the director Mahi has made a top class Telugu movie and really a good tribute to YSR.

Everyone will connect to the emotional part but only ysr fans will connect to the remaining part.... Mohanlal lived as ysr, cinematography is good didn't expect this type of work in this flick....as it is biased to some people but every one give it a shot for some emotional aspects

Got a chance to see YSR again, the story tells tge realistic character of the Legendary person. However apart from politics it is a very good movie.

Inspirational and Emotional movie

The movie is based on life events in the padayatra of Ex CM of combined Andrapradesh Y.S. Rajasekar reddy. The movie is good and is very emotional. The director made the film in a fantastic way. The emotional foundation was shown very honestly. Mammootty acting was natural in the role of YSR. Other actors Suhasini Maniratnam, Jagapati babu, Rao ramesh, posani, Anasuya and kalyani kept there mark. The ending of movie was made tearjerking with real last scenes of YSR and panchal das song. Overall Yatra movie is outputted as promised by the Team.

Touching story of a true legend.

Yatra is not a perfect movie. But it is a must watch as it is the story of the great YSR. The movie revolves mainly around his Padayaatra and his experiences from it. Some of that experiences which shows inside the movie is very heart touching. The making of the movie is okay and Mammootty did a great job as YSR. The final six minutes of the real footages of YSR was really good. Overall, Yatra is that movie you definitely watch even though it is not a masterpiece.

The movie is quite overrated I'm IMDb. However only through the movie I came to know the life of this honest politician. Apart from that cinematically as an art, the direction doesn't excel.

#YATRA is a well directed film with not too much hype and extravagance. Mammootty played the role of YSR in the most realistic way without resorting to any overaction. The music by composer K is just mind numbing. The background score is just through the roof. The movie goers travel with the emotion of the journey #YATRA as the movie progresses. BIOPIC OR MASALAPIC?

It's now a fashion of indian cinemas to release biopics whitewashing someone.This movie is the maximum dramatic of this habit.This might be the most overrated movie on this year.Gundas who are scared by a party flag,a leader,Opposition candidates who praise and a cheater who changes after watching hero,wow all the substances for masala movie.

To the directors,You made this movie making Ysr a dictator on a party with fools and stupid high command.Please don't make such movies for commercial and political gain.

It is already difficult to trust politicians in this age and day and hagiographical accounts of their life with a hollow storyline (where the lead character basically walks around making promises, stylishly ignores other politicians in his political party, and throws his weight around) does not help as is evident from the neutral reaction I had after watching Yatra (A Journey), an inconsequential, steroidal biopic on a politician I never knew. TN.

Lacks a punch

Had high hopes but movie is a damp squib, poor screenplay, average acting and hardly gripping.Mammoty sleep walked through the role and surrounding actors have nothing to do. Seems like the director is new could not hold attention. Strange to see 10/10 score here for the first dozen or so reviews. You know where that came from ;) Ysr deserved a better movie.
