It do what it said it would!

Warning: Spoilers
After a slower start to the series, this episode certainly delivered the goods! The episode had me on the edge of my seat! For the first 45 minutes if was your basic high school drama more or less, but unlike the previous episodes, there was a lot more of the mystery mixed in. But it was the final 15 minutes that really had you peeking from beneath the sheets! One of the things said in the trailers, was that the show was gonna make you care about the characters so that it hurts when they die... And boy did it! I can say with confidence that Riley was the most likable character on the show for me, so when she was killed my heart broke a little! Poor Riley! Poor Noah! It was maybe a little predictable as I called her death from episode one but that didn't make it less scary or sad. I also felt like there were some missed opportunities here and there. But by the end of the episode it left me wanting more! This episode proved that this show isn't screwing around and definitely got me hooked!

A dangerous game.
Sleepin_Dragon29 October 2020
Episode three sets out one thing very clearly, that the series is going to focus very much on one particular character. Most of the events in this one are focused on her, she learns more about her mother's shady past, and she is made to play a dangerous game of life or death.

You have to hand it to the series, they weren't afraid to take out the main players, the killing is perhaps a little hard to believe, but suspend your disbelief for just a moment, and realise that they were quite brave here.

Very nicely made and acted once again. I quite like this set of characters.

8/10.

"MTV's "Scream" Continues Delivering More Murders, More Excitement and More Quality"
FelipeCarrillo6 March 2016
Warning: Spoilers
This week returns again my favorite show of season, "Scream" full of new tricks surprise that along with its fast pace and advance the game becomes more captivating. "Everyone you trust is lying to you" was the phrase by killer to Emma, this episode confirms this sentence in a fatal way.

"Wanna Play a Game?" was loaded with tons of melodrama and hits for the series, winning the title of "Best Episode of The Series" so far, this being the most close to the atmosphere of the original film.Emma does not endure more and has an encounter with her mother about her past, she tells what happened to her friends. After this comes one of the scenes most strong of the series that literally rips the heart the entire audience. (From here some spoilers)

All we know the origin of the killer and in this instance we recognize that Emma is more important than Maggie in the scene. It is true that Brandon James had a feeling of dark love for Maggie in high school and we have been witnesses that any that it was the decision that Maggie took in the past or in the present would transcend in her beloved daughter.

The character of Emma sometimes does not show such concern as victim central of the whole problem, because she was not in the courts or near police, she prefers investigate and analyze the parameters in a coffee or a bar with a coffee, but obviously, she is a teenager, teens do that.

It has come the moment I can not yet overcome. This week compared with the pilot episode, "Scream" does not open with a scene of death, did on its last 15 minutes. This tactic raises the hope that the show is finally finding its balance. Sadly , this week Riley is the fatal victim of the murderer. The way the writers proposed the scene is really perfect. The game, Choose Who Will Die is one of the most fun and functional present in the audiovisual world and especially in the horror genre. It is a formula that entertains you and scared you at the same time, because actually you know what will happen but do not know how.

Emma receives a notification in her phone, " Oh No, God is the murderer again! " and " This time he wants to play a game! ". The murderer proposes to Emma choose: "The Good Girl (Riley)" or "The Bad Girl (Brooke)", she is oblivious to the consequences that can happen because of her decisions. Everything is symmetrically planned and executed to perfection, it's amazing how they play in the two atmospheres, Brooke handcuffed to the bed waiting for the arrival of the murderer and the harmless Riley on the street waiting for the murderer. It was more than evident that for character issues, Riley would be the victim, because the audience likes the potential that Brooke might have in the future. It is beautiful cinematography, photography, music, framing, lighting, performances, actually everything is beautiful, a recreation of a masterpiece of the classic slasher. The persecution and round-up apply excellent and the dramatic ending with Noah in chat and she slowly losing herself in the stars is a clear indication that " Scream " will be one of the series of the year, personally.

This episode has left a girl death (our broken heart), many answers many questions but the best is that Brooke is still alive. The program has not given up a clever plot and stylist and still introduces aspects of Maggie, That is good. "Wanna Play a Game?" is the best episode to date, and leaves a great taste after the fabulous and at the same time sad death of Riley, tempting viewers to follow in detail the following seven episodes full seemingly of twists and turns unexpected about plot.

Game On!

Warning: Spoilers
**** SPOILER ALERT ****

OMG!This episode had everything, teen drama, mysteries and a deadly game, at least for Riley. Riley was the most likable character in the series, she was the first I fell in love with, just like Noah, and to add more to the story, I really loved their relationship, they were perfect to each other, and their relationship was growing beautifully, and I was hooked. And then, without seeing it, Emma just delivered Riley to the killer. Riley's death, was one of the most emotional deaths I ever seen in a series, and just because one little thing, her words, she died, but she fight for surviving, unfortunately she lost too much blood. Her words, were so beautiful, their meaning was pure emotional...

«I can see our stars» Rip Riley <3

The chinese or the sexy girl ?
nicofreezer1 November 2021
One will die in this one, but who would you choise ? I think the hero did the right choise, Brooke is a bigger interest for the show, She's the Bad girl, vs the good girl So The geek is not the killer, i was sûre it was him but they just proved he was far away when the chinese girl murder happened 7.75/10.

A public place?
Calicodreamin1 October 2020
Tell me why the police in this town classify a public place as a park bathroom in the middle of the night?! Acting was okay, storyline not as good as previous episodes, and classic slasher girl bad decisions.

Goes from bad to worse
ghost_dog8618 July 2015
My mini reaction to - Scream: Episode 3: Verging on forgettable, this episode sees "Scream" slip behind MTV's "Ridiculousness" in terms of watchability. The teens continue to be interchangeable and impossible to connect with. And while the killings continue to be brutal, they aren't as creative as they need to be in order for us to alternatively root for the killer. Furthermore, a new annoyance has reared its ugly head; the acting, which at times is so "teened up" to 11, that it's getting harder and harder to gauge a character's on-screen reaction. Did she just get stabbed or break a nail?
