Deadly mayhem
TheLittleSongbird15 August 2018
Have an appreciation for horror with shades of thriller, slasher can be done well as well. So despite hearing a lot of negativity, 'Bunnyman Vengeance's' premise did really intrigue. Plus the cover was an attention-grabbing one. Really wanted to like it and for it to not be another waste of decent potential.

Watching it, unfortunately 'Bunnyman Vengeance' turned out to be exactly that...a waste of decent potential for precisely the same reasons as the previous 'Bunnyman' films. Not how to execute an intriguing idea. It's not irredeemably awful by any stretch, there is one good thing. Sadly eclipsed by the numerous things 'Bunnyman Vengeance' gets catastrophically wrong. Some unintentional humour that was just cheesy and irritating, the attempts at seriousness felt misplaced and the incoherence of the editing and the dialogue make it very difficult to take it seriously and the horror elements were predictable, not scary and too tame, no matter how much gratuitous blood effects it threw in.

Lets get the good things out of the way first. The best thing about 'Bunnyman Vengeance' is the villain's look, it is great. So cool and menacing, not goofy at all.

Uniformly the acting ranges from very bad to truly terrible, lots of histrionics and an equal amount of phoning in. Their cringe-worthy, unintentionally silly dialogue (one deserves a prize if they succeed in not bursting out laughing when they're not meant to, that is a challenge), annoying characters with stupid and illogical decision-making and behaviours (so there is nothing to make us root for them) and indifferent direction gave them no favours.

Neither did the story, which is paper thin and much of it doesn't make any sense, with scenes that bear no relevance. It is also contradictory in continuity and personally didn't notice many answers, one that satisfied or interested anyhow There is no tension or suspense here, no surprises, no creativity, no wit and the only thing that is scary is the look of the villain and the scare factor ends there. The kills are un-creative, instead of biting the nails one is shrugging their shoulders, and the whole horror atmosphere feels tame and leans towards being dumb. Other than the villain's look, the rest of the effects are ropy.

'Bunnyman' is an eyesore visually. With the lighting and camera work, it seemed to striving for the showing off or experimenting with supposedly arty to them feel but instead it comes off amateurish and nauseating. The editing is incoherent. Cannot remember the music, other than its over-bearing intrusiveness.

Overall, not irredeemable but very bad. 2/10 Bethany Cox

Bunnyman Vengeance
a_baron29 October 2017
Warning: Spoilers
Murder can be interesting, it can even be fun, but when a thriller, horror film or whatever you want to call it consists of little more, nay, nothing more, than a psychopath slaughtering people left, right and centre with no plot worthy of the name, how long can it hold the viewer's attention?

There is not one psychopath here but a whole nest of them, although only one of them dresses up as a giant rabbit. There is no redemption for any of their victims, and eventually they turn on each other. What more can be said?

There is no soundtrack worthy of the name, but it scores one point for special effects, that's if you enjoy seeing people burned alive or a woman having her fingers chopped off.

Even worse than the first two.
13Funbags6 November 2017
First of all, calling these movies a trilogy is a stretch. The only thing the three have in common is that Bunnyman is in the movies and the titles. Nothing else connects the "stories". Since they wasted three hours without any back story, this time it's all back story and none of it makes any sense. I think they imply that the black guy who set Bunnyman on fire when he was a kid is now his keeper and weirdly about the same age as "Mike". Just ignore the fact that this back story totally contradicts everything that has happened in the other movies. This movie has zero entertainment value and should never be seen by anyone.

I'm a hardcore horror fan and I've sat through Human Centipede and Martyrs without an eye blink. At least those two movies had a point.

This is 100% pure garbage and seems to imply that Black people are savages who murder white people for jollies and it's racism offends me.

I should have turned away from any movie that opens with a little kid being set on fire- again for jollies- after the first second. Anyone associated with that movie should be ashamed.

AVOID.

Terrible. So terrible, I'm not even going to give it ONE star!
eclar-0238024 March 2020
This has to be one of the only film trilogies I've seen where each film in it winds up becoming worse than the last. The acting is just terrible. The characters are one dimensional cliches. And don't get me started on that AWFUL CGI! It's like 90% of this movie's (small) budget went towards that and it didn't even look believable. It's like they got some amateur film student to do it for them. Maybe I'm going a little too hard on it considering the low budget, but the way it was written, this film was doomed from the start.

We're your family.
nogodnomasters4 November 2017
Warning: Spoilers
We get to see the origins of Bunnyman as we watch (several times during the feature) a young boy being burned alive. He survives and becomes Bunnyman hiding his disfigurement with the bunny costume. Him and his adopted family are killers and outside of that there isn't much plot.

This is the third in the series as the first two didn't earn enough money to pay for the suit. Hopefully it is paid for with this feature and Carl Lindbergh can move on to a film where he doesn't have to wear an unwashed sweat box, reminding me of my days at "Jack-in-the-Box" and my turn in the suit. At 50 minutes into the film there is an acid trip which peaked my interest. The sound was uneven as they switched cameras. The special effects were hit and miss with the CG effects in the "needs improvement" category.

Guide: F-word. No sex or nudity.

Third times a (final) charm, but still pretty bad and derivative
darksyde-635084 December 2017
Warning: Spoilers
While the first movie in this series was pretty bad in every sense of the word, the sequel was slightly better, but still pretty bad. But with this, the third and finally entry in this series based on the "true" urban legend of The Bunnyman, this is probably the best of the trophy, but is still a pretty incoherent, rambling piece of sh*t that manages to rip off "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre" and "House of 1000 Corpses". This time, the Bunnyman involves his family in his bloody mayhem, when they open a haunted house. Once again, the acting skills of all the actors are pretty atrocious.

a great end to the franchise
jill-valanta12 November 2017
Bunnyman Vengeance is a great end to the franchise. Bunnyman Vengeance is a throwback to the old school film making when filmmakers had to rely on imagination to make these kinds of movies, not millions of dollars. Bunnyman Vengeance is an example of what can accomplished on a very limited budget, with limited actors on basically one location. The people who made are real artist who knows how to tell a compelling story with visually arresting imagery. Yes, the acting is questionable for the most part, but we have to realize this is a low non union film. Your not gonna get great actors in these low budget horror films. I prefer to focus on the positive, what was made out of very little, and appreciate the accomplishment that was pulled off. It's a better way to appreciate life in general. Bunnyman Vengeance is good, check the film out.

I like it!
vilseipannkakan7426 October 2017
If you enjoy Wrong turn, The hills have eyes and Texas chainsaw massacre this is the same type of movie. Is it as disgusting and evil as those other horror movies? - I'm not sure, but a lot of people die in horrible ways. Sometimes the deaths are portrayed a bit humorous and it works, adding a tone to the raw violence. The movie has been influenced by other horror films and is in no way unique. But I like it.

I'm a fan
srlanasales31 October 2017
First a disclaimer, I'm a fan of the franchise so I'm a bit biased here. What we have in part 3 is both the expected and unexpected. Expected cause the filmmakers finally answered the questions us fans wanted from day 1, Who is Bunnyman? where did Bunnyman come from? When your at part 3, you gotta answer some questions for the fans. The unexpected is we have basically a hole new cast of characters to surround the main protagonist. This is good since it keeps the franchise fresh. This was a good installment in the franchise.

a fitting end to the trilogy?
bnnymanattack26 October 2017
Rebuking it's low budget origins, and brimming with creativity. Bunnyman Vengeance is a fitting end to the trilogy. Each chapter in this series has the "antagonist" ? Bunnyman running into a new group of people in a new adventure. This installment is the most unique of the series. I honestly expected the franchise to conclude in one way, and the film went in a completely different direction (which was a nice surprise). Generally film franchises start to get a little long in the tooth by part 3, however Bunnyman Vengeance (again with a pleasant surprise) ends the series on a high note, with the best one yet.

Incredible
picmun26 October 2017
This is like if third graders who've seen nothing but saw and played only call of duty tried to make a movie.

It's amazing.

There's a sequence in the movie that features someone who sounds a lot like Kraftwerk where the imagery is just one of the strangest, acid trip/fever dream inducing things I've ever seen.

The movie has a lot of genuinely creepy parts that would be awesome if the rest of the movie wasn't so awful.

Warning: Spoilers
Bunnyman !!!! Bunnyman aka Bunnyman Vengeance is the third film in the series. Who's your favorite giant killer bunny ? lol Bunnyman of course ! Here our favorite killer bunny is rampaging through a haunted house killing kids, well teenagers actually. I feel technically this is the best film, but I still have a soft spot for the original one.

Bunnyman Vengeance starts out strong
fareedzacharia26 February 2018
Warning: Spoilers
The film Bunnyman Vengeance starts out strong, well made with a solid pace. However the film, it devolves into a mindless action/horror film. The gore FX are good, and it just feels like a classic 80's horror b-movie. It's enjoyable, and what else can you ask of really. I would recommend fans of horror / b-movies to check Bunnyman Vengeance out, especially if you've never seen it, or if you haven't seen it recently. Bunnyman Vengeance is the best film in the franchise, which know numbers four films ! Bunnyman Vengeance being the third film in the franchise.

a real review, a fun movie
c-lindberger19 November 2017
Warning: Spoilers
I thought this was a fun movie. Sure, the story went from ridiculous to non-existent and back again, but who cares? It's a horror/dark comedy flick whose point is to wow you with gore and visuals. On that alone, it succeeds. As for the ridiculous plot, its a giant killer bunny killing people. Perhaps the haters are expecting too much from a "fun" b-movie. Another filmmaker might have focused on a cohesive story that lacked any exciting details. So unlike the haters, I choose to focus on the things this film did well. Like the spectacular gore, the fun visuals, and the fun little details.

Bunnyman Vengeance provides enough macabre entertainment
howardskillz3 February 2018
Bunnyman Vengeance doesn't pull off its stylistic intention in a way that communicates a well-rounded story. The story feels skimmed for its gruesome premise, while the atmosphere tugs between stark surrealism and vintage 80's notes, made more confusing by the sampling of previous Bunnyman films. When considering the evocative, deliberate crafting of Bunnyman Vengeance, it seems a shame that the director didn't take the same detailed approach.

However, and the combination of design and casting is hard to dismiss altogether. Its combination of awkward dark humor, surrealism, and horror has all the ingredients of a midnight masterpiece. One just wishes Lindbergh would have taken everything a step further - deeper, crazier, nastier. Considering the setup, he should have done so much more.

Even if Bunnyman Vengeance doesn't live up to its potential, its visceral imagery is very effective, and the film momentarily captivates through uncanny design and great cinematography. Lindbergh remains a director to watch, particularly if he finds stronger source material next time. Howeve Bunnyman Vengeance does provide enough macabre entertainment to hold us over until that happens.

fun film
joesmarch-403685 February 2020
As a huge horror fan and fan of independent films, I know and appreciate a good horror flick when I see one. There was a lot of heart and soul put into this film, and it shows. The music through out the film gives an unnerving tone and just gets you uneasy. The way it is filmed does make it more realistic and scary. Aside from other reviews on this page, id have to politely disagree, I think all of the actors did superb on acting and everything about the film you can tell a lot of hard work was put in. For an independent film, from a true horror fan such as myself, I give this five stars. Thats what a film is all about, having fun watching it. Not a lot of people know what it is like to make a film.... i.e. the money that gets put into it, the time, the writing, the scripts, location scouting, planning, rehearsal, makeup, etc.... therefore those people cannot appreciate all the effort one put into the film. The film is just a fun watch.
