Sex & Nudity

Violence & Gore

  • Just like in the trailer, McQueen experiences a bad crash.

Profanity

  • Infrequent use of mild name calling ("Loser", "shut up", "keister", "dummy", and "jerk"), minced oath ("Dang" and "dadgum"), and mild anatomical words ("Butt").
  • Lightning says "life's a beach." It is implied that he makes a pun of the b word.
  • A character says the f-word but it's censored by a honk.

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • There is a scene where Smokey is showing McQueen pictures and memories of him and Doc together. We even see some flashback scenes of them having fun together. And bitter music plays in the background. Some viewers might find this scene a bit emotional.
  • McQueen experiences the most darkest, distressing, and devastating crash in the first half of the movie. It's super upsetting for young children and those who grew up with the Cars franchise.
  • A very disturbing crash in the beginning of the movie might scare some kids.
  • In the Thunder Hollow race, Demolition derby sequence includes fire and aggressive vehicles (including large, former emergency and public-use vehicles like an ambulance and school bus) purposely crashing into and running over one another and Lightning and Cruz. This is played for laughs rather intense due to comical slapstick violence.
  • In a flashbacks, Doc Hudson is seen crashing during a race. This scene can be upsetting for some viewers because it is revealed that Doc Hudson will never join the race, ever since in the first movie.
