Wow this episode with all the love for the newborn made me cry.
Hayley is in the church with the witches where she is forced by them to have her baby in their presence. We see she no longer wears her stockings and Genevieve is at her feet, ready for the baby to come. They put a white sheet over Hayley's lower half.
Klaus has tried to storm in but is badly injured. The witches have pinned him to the wall and he watches in agony as Hayley screams in pain. Te baby is born and Genevieve takes her, announcing the beautiful baby girl's arrival. Hayley pleads to hold her baby. Hayley gets a short moment to do so before the witch slits her throat, killing her. They take the baby and rush out of the church.
Klaus mourns over Hayley's dead body when Elijah comes in. Elijah is devastated and collapses to his knees. They muster up energy to go rescue the baby. The witches have used some kind of illusion spell at the churchyard where it appears the churchyard goes on for infinity.
Davina, Marcel and Cami go to Kieran's hideout. It is Davina's and Marcel's first time and Cami wants to help save her friends with the weapons in there.
They go into the part of the place where Klaus found out Hayley was pregnant and Hayley appears from the shadows. The men are shocked to see her alive and realize the baby's blood was in her system so she is in transition. She needs to feed on the baby's blood to survive. Hayley can feel the baby nearby and right when the baby is about to be stabbed, Klaus throws something. It becomes a flying battle with the witches using wind power with all the ancestors to get the three to back off while they throw things back to stop the witches. Marcel comes to the rescue when he throws the object that gives a million of cuts at Monique. Marcel takes the baby and leaves. Klaus follows after him to the Quarter where Marcel is sitting holding the cooing newborn.
Klaus holds the baby for the first time and forgives Marcel for everything. He cures him with his blood. It is implied Klaus will cure all the other vampires as well.
Klaus has a tender moment with the baby in the nursery when he senses his father. Mikael is coming but Davina is right behind him and stops him. She has control over Mikael and tells him she added an extra something to the spell. She won't let him do anything just yet.
Hayley sits with the baby as Elijah and Klaus discuss the events. Klaus realizes the baby has inherited all their enemies. She will never be safe. Hayley proposes they give her away as they fight their enemies here. They decide that just the Hayley, Klaus, Elijah, Marcel and Rebekah will know the baby is alive and well. They will pretend the baby died and mourn.
Marcel played his part by threatening the blonde werewolf with the body of a stillborn baby. Marcel says Klaus will never side with the werewolves after they killed his baby.
Elijah pricks the baby's finger in the nursery as Hayley looks away. She carefully consumes the blood from the baby as it cries. She is so upset she has to do so to her own child, as the person who loves the child the most.
We see a beautiful moment when Klaus and Rebekah meet with their cars facing in a deserted field of some kind of wheat. Klaus trusts Rebekah more than anyone else with his daughter and tells her so. Rebekah looks beautiful and takes the baby. She asks for her name. Hope Mikaelson is the baby's name. Klaus tells her to be happy and kisses her.
