Great episode for Jean's character

Warning: Spoilers
This episode focused well on Jean's character development. I first thought that Jean would die after he was introduced but I'm glad he didn't because I really like him.

Recap: Everyone is a suspect in the investigation to find out who killed the two test-subject Titans. Meanwhile, the cadets pick which military branch they'll be joining, but after the harrowing events in the Trost attack, many are uncertain which branch to choose.

Rewatch, 9.25/10

After rewatching this episode, I actually have this episode as the second worst episode in the entire series, but either way, it was very amazing. This is what I am talking about. Even my least favorite episodes in the series very high rated. Anyways, my favorite characters in this episode were Armin, Eren, and Mikasa, and my favorite things about this episode were the dialogue, the ending, and music. I think it is official to me now. Attack On Titan really does have my personal favorite first season of all time. I have it just above Chernobyl, True Detective, and Band of Brothers. They are still good, but this show is just on a whole nother level.

Stellar character development

This was Jean's episode and an excellent build to the next arc. Those little filler touches were just perfect. The flashbacks of Marco and the joining scenes were emotionally powerful. Loved the direction and the OST was amazing. Fit the mood of the episode really well. The pace is pretty good, taking the fact that it is for character development into consideration. Jean has become one of my favorite characters on the show. They've done him well. Can't wait to watch the next episodes.

Jean's episode was excellent and set the stage for the next arc. The filler touches were perfect, especially the emotionally powerful flashbacks of Marco and the joining scenes. The direction was great and the OST was amazing, fitting the episode's mood perfectly. The pace was good, considering it was for character development. Jean has become one of my favorite characters on the show, and they've done him justice. I'm looking forward to watching the next episodes.

In conclusion, Jean's episode proved to be a remarkable highlight, skillfully paving the way for the upcoming narrative arc. The well-executed filler details, particularly the emotionally charged flashbacks of Marco and the compelling joining scenes, added depth to the storyline. The direction of the episode was commendable, complemented by an outstanding OST that flawlessly captured the mood. Despite being centered on character development, the pacing was satisfying. Jean's character has undeniably earned a special place in my favorites, and the episode did justice to his complexity. Anticipation lingers as I eagerly await the unfolding of the next episodes, eager to delve deeper into the evolving narrative.
