Laugh out loud no-budget mockumentary!
skinnerramone26 February 2024
The Legend of Crick Foot" is a hilarious mockumentary that proves you don't need a Hollywood budget (or any budget at all) to deliver big laughs. Director and mockumentarian Bone Jawson weaves together knee-slapping performances from indie favorites like Mel Helfin, Jessa Flux, Chanda Rawlings, and Matt Burns in this mostly remote-filmed laugh fest about a Bigfoot-esque cryptid with a hotdog obsession. With its under 75-minute runtime, the film flies by, thanks to a barrage of hilarious short skits featuring a large number of talented actors portraying eccentric characters. Whether you're a mockumentary fan or simply in need of a good laugh, "The Legend of Crick Foot" is a must-watch.

Where'd that hotdog go?

Bursting from the seams with East Coast talent, The Legend of Crick Foot is chockful of funny. Featuring what is becoming your usual gang of misfits (Including some of my favorites Matt Burns, Brandi Lyn Dalton, Shannon Adkins, Rick Jermain, Todd Bobenrieth, Mel Heflen, Jason Alan Cook, Dan Hawkins, Bob Heuisler, Amanda Megan, Chelsea Queen, Chanda Rawlings, Thomas Touhey, Cami Schoenfeld, and. Ricky Bredenbeck. Led by first time film maker Bone Jawnson, under very well known indie producer, the legend- Matt Burns.

The Legend of Crickfoot is a much needed breath of comedic fresh air about a hotdog stealing creature(s) in the woods of PA. Filled with fun and colorful characters, who to me were probably stranger than the idea that BigFoot is a womanizing hotdog thief, this mockumentary should successfully keep a smile on your face.

Crick Foot

The Legend of Crick Foot is a humorous documentary, or should I say "mockumentary" about a legendary cryptid named "Crick Foot". Bone Jansen investigates the urban legend of Crick Foot.

Crick Foot is a creature similar to "Big Foot" or "Sasquatch" that has a love of hot dogs. Don't leave your hot dogs unattended or else Crick Foot may just eat them all!

Various citizens of a small Pennsylvania town share their stories of their own personal encounters with the legendary Crick Foot. Many of the stories are humorous. If you're a fan of the current Indie Horror scene you'll recognize some of the interviewees. They include Mel Hefflin and Jessa Flux.

If you're looking for something a bit different and a lot of fun checkout The Legend of Crick Foot.

This movie was laugh out loud funny and a real treat!!! I sometimes worry when watching indie films but this one more than delivered. Bone definitely knocked it out of the park and delivered a great, really funny mockumentary. Not only was it funny, it was well shot and sounded great as well. Bone absolutely put a lot of work into this project and it absolutely shows.

Cast did an amazing job. There's so many funny parts in this film. I learned what Weiner juice is thanks to this film being as informative as it is funny lol.

I'm happy I purchased a DVD because i watched it again when i got home. Bone Jawnson is an amazing person and is very talented. I can't wait to see what he does next. Whatever it is, I'm definitely in.

Somebody just stole my hot dog!!!!

Laugh-out-loud fun!

You would never know this is a no- budget, first time film for this writer/director - VERY professionally done in all aspects! Often, indie films fail in some aspect : poor sound quality or it isn't synced properly, blurry cinematography, poor lighting, or dad editing. Not Crickfoot!

The humor is spot-on! The double-entendres are sprinkled throughout, but not to excess. Bone has an innate sense of comedic timing annd a perfect eye for when to use it.

I enjoyed this film so much - much more than I expected given the newness of the director. I amvery glad I bought a copy to watch again and share with friends! I look forward- eagerly- to Bone's next project!

Can you make a fun movie for no money? Yes!

This is a mockumentary about a specific type of cryptid who has a few quirks regarding hotdogs, grape cigars, and cheap beer. Many self recorded video submissions from talented folks along with a wraparound piece from a local investigator is the general idea. I love the humor employed to arrange the barely related video submissions with connecting narration to achieve a remarkably coherent story. The jokes hit well. The edit was competent. Stock footage was artfully used as well. I was more shocked to learn the creator (Bone Jawnson) had never made a film of this type before. Super well done! Completely worth your time!
