A lot of the screen time in this episode is devoted to Maddy and Spencer and to Harvey and Roo's attempts to mentor them. Both actually do a fairly good job but they're unable to stop Maddy talking herself into getting back with Spencer.Even though they seem happy together, even Spencer doesn't seem too clear if it's for the right reasons.
Meanwhile, John continues to look for Jett but fails to come up with anything until he has a sudden brainwave. The subsequent scenes of them spending the night together in Gina's office and their chat on the wharf are actually rather sweet.
Heath's storyline gets put on hold for most of the episode before leaping into life at the end as he gets heavy with Kyle in order to get to the truth about Connie's claims. But the speed with which he reaches the conclusion he does seems a bit rapid and not entirely believable.
