Underrated Episode

Warning: Spoilers
Mikasa Ackerman is a character that has many layers. She has always been my favorite character on the show due to how well she represents the struggle of humanity. She has a one track mind to achieve her goal of protecting Eren Yaeger and Armin Arlert. She desires nothing more than to keep an ambitious yet unstable young man, who happens to be her savior in life, alive. This episode fleshed her out so much and she never ceased to be my favorite character in this show after this episode.

An underrated gem

Warning: Spoilers
This episode was tremendous from a character development perspective. This episode gave so much depth to Mikasa & Eren's relationship it's almost unbelievable. It starts with Armin reacting to the events from the previous episode, and it's an amazing scene for him. I just love the use of flashbacks, and the dialogue is haunting. Mix that with the gorgeous score and animation and you got an emotional rollercoaster of an episode. The main focus though is the flashback to Mikasa's childhood and how she and Eren became friends. These scenes are wonderfully put together because of the editing. It's sad to watch the demise of Mikasa's family and her reactions to it. After that we see why Mikasa cares about Eren so much. He's the reason she became the fearless badass she is today. He saved her life and gave her a home, and she owes him her life for it and will do anything to protect him. In only a single episode we completely understand the relationship between these two.

Might be my favorite episode in season 1
Dr-Ahmedd3 April 2021
Mikasa's backstory among the best in this show, but the way this episode shows it is just beautiful, switching from the present to the past in the perfect moment to show us the story, the story that is suspenseful, cruel, and emotional. The way it shows Mikasa's feeling and pass it to us is really touching, she was in pain, she was hopeless and she found someone that gave her safety and love when she needed them the most.

The world is cruel, we all need to be strong enough to face it.

Underrated ep (9.5/10)

Mikasa!!

I have always loved this episode and have regarded it as one of the more important in terms of character development and world-building!

This episode is esential to understand the character that is Mikasa Ackermann and her relationship with Eren and what he means to her! We see how Eren influenced her character and why she cares about him! Something that will become important later in the show!

Mikasas look on the world of AOT also captures what kind of place it is! A cold mercyless place where you either fight back or perrish!

Coming of the previous episode it also has a bittersweet feeling and serves as a great break-up! Wish it was rated higher.

I love this episode!

"The World the Girl Saw: The Struggle for Trost, Part 2" is a great episode that shows us the past of Mikasa Ackerman. This insight gives us to understand why she is the way she is. It also shows us how the close relationship with Eren and her came about. Mikasa is my favorite character so far and this episode brought her even closer to me. It was also sad to see what happened to her parents, which was really emotional.

Recap: Upon the battlefield Mikasa saves a crowd of people from a Titan. While continuing her work with the elites she remembers her dark and bloody past as well as the day she first met Eren Yeager.

The Cold Realities of AOT

I've always loved this episode and considered it one of the most important for character development and world-building!

This episode is crucial for understanding the character of Mikasa Ackermann and her relationship with Eren, and what he means to her. We see how Eren influenced her character and why she cares about him, something that will become important later in the show.

Mikasa's perspective on the world of AOT also captures the kind of place it is: a cold, merciless place where you either fight back or perish.

Following the previous episode, it also has a bittersweet feeling and serves as a great follow-up. I wish it was rated higher.

Rewatch, 10/10

This is an actual ten star out of ten episode, I don't care what anyone says. I can discuss what my favorite characters were, which were Mikasa, Dr. Yeager, and Eren, but I can't discuss what my favorite things about this episode were because every aspect about this was just pure perfect and amazing. It was tense, it was emotional, it was brutal, it was sad, it was violent, so I kept asking myself, "What more fo I want from an episode?". So, I decided to consider this a perfect episode of television. There is literally absolutely no flaws with this episode. I just love everything about this episode.

Finally backstory

Warning: Spoilers
This episode explores Mikasa's past and why she's obsessed with Eren this episode is probably more disturbing than the last one and shows that titans aren't the only evil things in this world the flashback section is done brilliantly and back in trost Mikasa is a badass taking down titans but I'm worried about when she finds out what happened to Eren 9/10.
