For anyone who's had rodents in their basement . . .

Warning: Spoilers
. . . it's pretty hard to imagine anything creepier than yodeling mice. When you bait your steel spring mousetrap with peanut butter and it nabs one of those little suckers in the middle of the night, they've been known to raise quite a fuss if the kill bar hasn't crushed their tiny little head instantly when they tripped the trap. (If you cluster multiple traps to insure that mice smart enough to daintily lick the bait away from one snare WITHOUT tripping it will be bound to back into a neighbor of the targeted trap in the cluster, you may catch Mr. Mouse by his tail or a leg; who'd want a yodeling recital at such a juncture?!) If a severely wounded, incapacitated mouse could yodel away at 3 AM as Mickey and Minnie do here in YODELBERG, mouse trap makers would probably go out of business (and Dave would want them to tour with Alvin and the rest of the Chipmunks). In Real Life, rodents trash everything they touch. They ate my high school debate cards and devoured a close relative's baptismal candle. Witness Mickey frittering away food and drink around a ski resort in YODELBERG, before prematurely bringing a total halt to the lucrative Winter Alpine Season.

Warning: Spoilers
Fun if slight animated short about Mickey's attempts to visit yodeling Minnie on top of snowy mountain while a Yeti pursues him with potential for avalanche. Seemed to have come from animation similar to Teen Titans Go with faint painterly strokes paying homage to the Disney style long ago. The Yeti having to quiet it's roar with Mickey shushing it is a highlight. Of course Mickey skiing away from the Yeti and the Yeti carefully having to remain at a quiet tone is most amusing. It can probably still be seen during commercials on the Disney channel or related channels. I watched it on the thirtieth Mickey's Christmas Carol anniversary special edition.

Sit back and enjoy the colourful Swiss Alps

Yodelberg is a short Mickey Mouse cartoon with a bright, and colorful Swiss mountain backdrop.

It looks like this short was heavily influenced by Ren & Stimpy when I see Mickey, Minnie, and the Yeti's facial expressions, and their movements.

Yodelberg captures a nostalgic feeling of the old black, and white classic Disney cartoons. There is no dialogue only yodeling and various other sound effects.

Minnie tries to entice Mickey with her yodeling, and he tries desperately to make it to her mountaintop abode and be with her despite the impending threat of an avalanche.

Overall a great addition to Mickey's A Christmas Carol 30th Anniversary Edition on DVD.

7/10.

Mickey Mouse (2013)

Episode 3: Yodelberg

The German setting highlights this third episode that has Mickey and Minnie yodeling, which causes a mountain to shake and a possible ton of snow to come crashing down. Now Mickey must try and keep everything quiet to prevent the disaster.

For the most part this is only a decent episode because there isn't anything overly funny or special about the actual story. I'd argue that the highlight is the actual yodeling and that happens at the very start of the short. As you'd expect the animation itself is quite good but it's not enough to completely save the episode.

Episode: C+
