Teddy's Playbook
nodoze17629 December 2021
Frank's handling of the situation with the racist speaker was right out of Teddy Roosevelt's playbook, a man we know he admires greatly. During Roosevelt's tenure as NYC Police Commissioner, a man organized a gathering for the purpose of inciting anti-semitism. Although Teddy couldn't prevent the meeting, he detailed Jewish police officers to protect the speaker while he was denouncing Jews. Very effective.

bkoganbing27 July 2020
This Blue Bloods story involves Tom Selleck as Comissioner being given a major headache, security for racist radio host Mark Moses. He takes an example from his most noted predecessor Theodore Roosevelt for guidance.

Someon letting rats loose at a high society charity event us the opening of a case that Donnie Wah;berg and Bridget Moynahan get involved in from different angles. Wahlberg investigates a nasty assault on the man who ket the rats loose. At the same time Moynahan getsinvited to sit on the board of said charity.

This episode is truly where high society and low crime partner up.

3.13 ****

Warning: Spoilers
How Frank outmaneuvers a hate group ready to demonstrate in a New York City auditorium is worth the **** rating in itself.

Erin is flattered when she is asked by an old college friend to become the latter's partner in raising funds for various charities. Go know that she is mixed up in extortion, bribes and all other forms of criminal activity. How this is discovered was truly amazing.

The best part was where Erin, before she knew about the illegal activity, tries to explain to her daughter that she will need fulfillment when the latter goes off to college. Work is one thing but giving of herself would be another.

Any Scotch Drinkers out there?
chicagoexpat20 March 2023
The scotch tube which Curtis Swint placed on the commissioner's desk sounded empty. The tin bottom of the tube resonates with a higher pitch, which it would not have done had there been a bottle in the tube, in which case there would have been a thud.😉 I suggested this as a goof, which was declined because they couldn't/wouldn't verify it. Perhaps their salaries don't allow for the purchase of much scotch, but it was a subtle goof that not many would catch. Of course, the scotch brand was a fake, as is almost always the case in TV and movies unless they're getting payed for product placement. As to the show: Due to police violence in this series in general I can't give it more than a 6.
