Holy TBI, batman

This is a guaranteed trip to the ER. Most of these guys will be vegetables in the next 5 years. Sorry, but if you go first, you're almost sure to win, by causing the most damage first.

Whoever thinks this is a sport... Dana is in it strictly for the money, which is quite sad considering the amount of long term trauma these guys are going to suffer for a measly buck.

The WB has sunk to a new low, which isn't really saying much considering their other programs. Honestly, this is worse than supporting cock fighting, it's that bad. When Dana said "this is going to be a life changing experience", he wasn't kidding.

From the studio/network that killed the Snyderverse and wouldn't allow The Briscoes on AEW but puts James Gunn in charge of DC studios and bend over backwards for Ezra Miller. This is worse than when TNN was gutting the OG ECW to promote Roller Jam. WB is gutting AEW to get this garbage over and it's not even entertainment, let alone sports entertainment. Not only it does it try to steal AEW Dynamites spotlight but it's also on at a terrible time. What is it with tv networks just stealing internet conent/trends and just dragging it onto television like it's groundbreaking stuff. Stay away from this.

Terrible

In the time of heightened research and awareness of traumatic brain injury and chronic traumatic encephalopathy (CTE), Dana White decides to create a league in where defenseless participants are subject to viscous life altering blows to the face. In addition, the participants get paid peanuts, brain damage should not be this cheap. Expect this last only one season and add this to the list of failed ventures for Dana White, including but not limited to his failed boxing and surfer shows.

Prominent neurologists, neuroscientists, and other prominent figures are asking for a halt to this inexcusable display.

desperate for masculinity, grasping at straws

I am completely baffled that this piece of media exists, but it also makes a lot of sense for the current era of American capitalism we find ourselves in. The family I was watching with skipped through everything and only watched the slapping, so it's an hour long program with about 10 minutes of content that people tune in for. A room of men striving to show they're the most masculine in a completely meaningless, laughable way. The cash sum is a joke compared to the practical abuse you're expected to endure (punishment for flinching? Is this an abusive parent?). It's great for shock factor but I do not get enjoyment from it. It takes no skill to slap someone hard besides a strong arm. This feels like the same kind of people who would try to say cheerleading doesn't count as a sport.

Screw the haters this show is hilarious

I guess me and my girlfriend are the only ones but we have a hell of a time watching power slap. The contestants are such unlikable goofballs that you can't wait to watch them get their clocks cleaned.

Sure these guys are getting CTE but frankly after seeing some of these guy's personalities they may be better off as vegetables.

Super funny they walk around and speak as if they are professionals and all act tough to one and other only to settle their beef with slaps and bad breath.

Alot of these guys seem like current/former crack addicts which only adds to the hilarity of this whole spectacle.

In all seriousness it's pretty gnarly. Some of the knockouts are just as scary as they are brutal.

The whole rule structure is ridiculous.

I feel like the contestants were not getting much time between their fights which must really add on to the brain damage these guys are taking by not allowing the brain to recover from serious previous concussion.

Is it entertaining? Yes. It's like a train wreck you cannot look away from.

Do I feel bad for the contestants?

A few of them. The younger ones who havent already drove their lives into the trash as the others seemed to have.

But at the end of the day these are grown men who know the risks associated.

Do i feel bad for guys like slap jesus? Not so much.

This show will never make it past the first season due to the outpouring of negative press and that's pretty warrented. But personally I don't mind seeing morons of this caliber slapping the hell out if each other.

I enjoyed this shows short run and if it continues I will tune in.

it will soup your melon

The producers obviously preyed on low income desperate fellas with promises of a chuckee cheese belt and "fame". I legitimately felt sorry for a couple of them as they talk about this show being a opportunity for them to be professional slappers. That being said, these guys grow on you and entertain for an hour.

Does this make sense? It's kinda like tic tac toe, 50/50 odds aka luck. I see too many variables to make the action of exchanging slaps a fair fight. Anyone who knows physics and the bodies reaction to force would understand what I am alluding to. However, the shows targeted audience is obviously not the educated over thinkers.

It's no worse than Bravo's Summer House, Vanderpool Rules, etc.
