Overall I have to say that The Mosquito Coast's second season has been underwhelming. The setting of the jungle amidst cartel chaos is fine, but there simply has not been enough drama. I think that changed tonight as this was a pretty good hour of TV and even the Dina just relaxing around the hotel stuff was fine. The ending with her being the one in danger was a good twist too.

I just think we need the lead character to be threatened a bit more and not just get his face shoved in a fence for a second. He's been pushing limits for years and it seems like his life is never really in any danger.

Very much enjoying the drama with the cartel and the chaos in the jungle. Without giving away anything or too much, the drama is definitely cranking up and I'm curious to see how they're going to end the season. I've been absolutely enjoying the show. I've loved the overall character development. I found the show to be perfect date night show with the wife. We definitely been getting excited about each episode and can't wait to see what happens in the next. It's always difficult to compare season to to season 1 of shows, but I think they've done really well with keeping the show relevant while also staying loyal to season 1.
