Just a little reality break here, something that script writers should think about:

Pretty lady stops humongously big aircraft company from green-lighting the manufacturing of a defective passenger jet of which the engine had a defective casing. Media gets whiff of biggest aeronautical scandal in history. Well, that's this episode.

Think of the implications. Airliners crashing, avoided! Scrap metal raining down on cities, avoided!

Instant media darling. With Bambi eyes to boot.

It stands to reason that Kate Reed would not have had to worry about bunking at her stepmother's ever again.

But no, just like a factory reset, as in all of TV land, everything goes back to Square One for next episode.

Okay, it's all pretty much the usual. The mainframe story with the usual character developments, romantic intrigue... and the case of the week. The geeky guy and the model airplanes were just boring fillers, that's all. It's the way Kate and Justin, and Kate and Ben, with Lauren thrown in, play off against each other. Now THAT works. But the cases, aw boring.

Incidentally, this little show is so damned poor it cannot even afford a decent opening montage. There was a really, really poxy one back in Season One, which was mercifully dropped by Season Two, for it was blandsville. Now, four episodes in, a very basic, but yet strikingly effective, though really kinda campy almost, little offering. Amusing in its utter simplicity.

I remain divided on this show. I have no real buzz for it as I settle in to watch. Knows not to expect anything great. I tend not to bother with losers, though, so here I am grading on a curve. Hell, FAIRLY LEGAL is superb compared to the tons of average stuff out there, but I deal with the cream and the cherries on top, so amongst those, this isn't exactly the brightest butterfly fluttering about. I maintain that Sarah Shahi is A+ 100% and if only the show could find some real direction...
