Funny Sad and Enlightening
cmpxvzh23 October 2022
Warning: Spoilers
I like the new intern Simone especially, also was so glad to see ADDISON and Kai! I liked the mix of sadness ( Simone's grandmother)fun ( sex and dancing) and character development. Also the rage that Jo feels is so real! I am a little sick of the Teddy and Owen fighting. Also I like the character of the new ones Sheppard. Nice to See some development, however complex, for ZOLA. She always seemed too perfect before. This was one of the best episodes of the last few seasons - with a mix of all the different emotions that make Gray's Anatomy such an outstanding show. Like many old fans, I will be glad to See Bailey back at GA.

Sex Education
ZegMaarJus27 September 2023
Warning: Spoilers
This Episode begins with Amelia, she gets a surprise visit from Kai at the entrance of Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital. Bailey organized a special day for the interns today, the subject is sex. The interns give a high school class some sex education, mainly to prevent pregnancy. Zola is doing some tests at the hospital, she also wants to be a surgeon. Bailey tells Richard that she wants to continue with working at Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital, but she won't return as Chief of Surgery. Lucas is Addison her cousin. Benson has sex with Jules. Meredith kissed Nick. Nice Episode of Grey's Anatomy Season 19, really joyful Episode. I really like the new interns, who are directly having a main role in the Series!

Grey's did it again !!
gabytavillacres25 October 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Addison's words "I feel erased" got to my heart, I know this is a controversial topic that not everyone will fell okay with it. I think it was great that the writers put into perspective so many topics that people most often forget about abortion and what the consequences will be since it got prohibit in most states. I respect peoples choice and greys did an amazing Job by giving us that, were there is no judgment but a choice. The writers couldn't have done it better the way it was handle and said and by including teen pregnancy focused on real issues we sometimes do not think about. Overall I love this episode, love how it was written, love that Addison was back and love how grey's always handle society topics that almost nobody else in the big screen will do.

Advocating for Women's rights.
allihatesyou23 October 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Grey's has always talked about sensitive topics, and that's part of what makes the show so great! Talking about sensitive topics may make some uneasy as reality can be tough for some people to think about, but unfortunately with the times we are living in now, we must think about where our country is going. We see lots of adoption in the show. (Zola, Leo, Luna and Addison's son who has never been in the show, but briefly mentioned.) but it's only fair and just that we discuss the other options as well. With Roe V Wade being turned over, women in America will die, overcrowded foster homes will struggle even more, and more babies will be born with deformations, disease, and drug addiction, some will face life long complications, and some will die shortly after birth.

So I'm glad this was discussed.

Thank you grey's for advocating for women's rights... and maybe if you're upset about the episode, go adopt those babies! 400k children are in American foster care right now. Be the change.

Well Done
katalexvic-7580223 October 2022
Only thing that would have improved this episode is if the show had actually completed the videos and released them on tiktok. I think the way the interns finally came around and threw themselves into the roles was very well done. Educate kids and even as Teddy said, we should have had sex ed before. This show wasn't just about Roe v Wade, it was about respecting your partner, understanding your body, knowing what to do if something doesn't feel right...Sex, birth control, knowing one's body, respecting your partner, are all things everyone should know. Well done writers, it was a very well done episode.

Great episode, 10/10
obxmajor24 October 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Episode brings awareness to something more people should care about. And just like in the episode it's a teaching moment. Brings scary things us women have to think about now to light and that's always important. It's a 10/10 for me, thank you Greys.

As a woman, I think Addison's frustration and sadness is absolutely valid. Some people get frustrated and rate the episode low because they don't agree with the episode's pro choice stance. Maybe read the synopsis before watching, or watch the trailer. If you don't like the writing for the show, you could also pick a new show or rewatch older episodes.

Hopefully even if your values don't line up with the writing on this episode you can push past that and enjoy the writing and important moments for other characters in the episode.

Love this episode
courtneyteneyck26 October 2022
Warning: Spoilers
This is one of my favorite episodes so far. I love that Nick, Kai, and Maggie spent some time with Zozo letting her have fun with those tests. I love that they had the interns do a sex-ed class because they made it fun and interesting. I also love that they added current events like the abortion ban. And for the record i am 1000% pro choice, and i love that Addie, Bailey, and even Jo with her black scrubs mention the rights we are losing. I dont particularly like teddy and owens relationship but then again i never have. I am so glad that Bailey is coming back to the hospital. Its about time. #prochoice #womensrights.

Every Man Should Watch This
meltingmel22 October 2022
Yes! When they overturned Roe V Wade I immediately thought of Grey's and how it would handle this. I'm so glad they hyper focused on it. It needs to be taken seriously and I'm glad there's a show out there calling out monstrosities. I'm really enjoying the new interns and their quality acting skills, and I'm looking forward to their upcoming storylines. My favorite part was the sex Ed and I loved how they really got into it. I kept thinking every man needs to be forced to watch this episode and learn how to be a competent partner in bed. As for Zola? I could see this coming last season and I'm really glad they are pushing it now. I would love to see her become a very young surgeon.

It was almost back...then it lost me again.
jaminielsen027 October 2022
The first two episodes were great. I thought it was getting back to the roots of why we all love this show. We had new interns that are actually interesting. Then we have to go back to the stupid political talk with Addison of all people. Let's convince a teenager to have an abortion behind her parents back. Im sorry but that when people make grown up decisions they need to have grown uo consequences. Why can't they make a show about real life things without making them so devisive. The last 2 seasons were so terrible it was painful to watch. Can we please make it good again or just end the show.

Returning to the beginning
noahtbryant25 October 2022
This episode is the closest Grey's has gotten to replicating the early series since before season 14. The return of Kate Walsh as Addison Montgomery was one highlight of the episode, but in my opinion, the other storylines with Zola and Simone's grandmother were the most engaging. The subtle return to the early atmosphere of the show can be seen in Levi's interaction with the interns in the locker room, as well as the entire story surrounding Simone's grandmother. In addition, the way the interns are already starting to form relationships with one another shows the writers are rediscovering the importance of developing new characters. This episode opened several opportunities for deep, heartfelt storylines, which hopefully will be explored in the upcoming episodes.

You should definitely watch this!
beccaboo-3369722 October 2022
Warning: Spoilers
This is a medical show, this episode talks about sex, the title of this episode gives it away, don't want to hear about it? Then don't watch it. The over turn of roe v Wade is HUGE especially in the medical community and it's really important for this show to cover it. When asked if they would, I believe it was Verna, said it's such an important topic that of course they HAVE TO cover it. Regardless of the topic they actually make this episode fun. I really enjoyed it. I liked seeing Addison again AND we found out by process of elimination, which sister is the mother of Lucas Adams!! Kai is also back, which is really exciting for those who are fans of them!

Here we go again! Relapsing :(
cattaraddu22 October 2022
And... It only took 2 episodes into the new series to go back to social awareness ... Hope is just a singular thing as ppl were getting tired of the crusades of the producers and really thought they got that and decided to take the show back to it s glory, to what made it great... I think ppl made it clear that don t really love theese topics, that we get on tv, on the street, this is medical drama, make it different. Ok, you want to touch this subject? Make it about a case, a family, let us see how it affects them, what complications can come not lecture us, we get that enough, WE ARE AWARE!!!

Overly Political, Preachy, Insincere
DocZachary24 October 2022
This episode abruptly takes on a very sensitive topic with no build-up or proper storyline. The dialogue for this topic is delivered in a very non-genuine way, and it is blatantly clear that this episode was designed to spread a political agenda and practically lecture the audience on something that is already a known and controversial issue.

I don't watch Grey's Anatomy for politics. Nobody wants to go onto a medical drama TV show looking for lectures or controversies written in a way that has no connection to the plot whatsoever.

Possibly the worst episode in the entire series. Why continue the drama of the current politics on a TV show when the entire reason we come to watch your show is to relax, get a glimpse into medicine, and be entertained? Off to a bad start this season.

Unrealistic and inappropriate.
amelia-j-13 November 2022
So, we're obsessed with the fact true overturn of roe v wade, but then encourage teens to experiment with sex. How about the real truth and facts like how expensive a hospital birth is. Or the way your life and body will change. Teach kids how to assess their bodies, how to take contraception with real interest ect.

This episode made a mockery of Women's heath and how real issues. Like how much our bodies are not taken seriously or how much our hormones affect mental health.

The shows political Obsessions used to be 1/3 of the show, Now it's the main storyline and they keep botching it for quick views.

Please give it a rest.
christopherluke-1826410 November 2022
When I want politics (especially one sided) I'll turn on CNN, MSNBC or Fox News. Can we please keep it out of TV shows, sports and other things that are supposed to entertain and distract us from the political divisiveness of this country? Station 19 does this to nausea levels. Then not involving the girls parents was just disgusting. On the other hand, The Zola storyline is becoming very interesting with her brilliance coming through more and more. The grandma of Simone bringing Meredith into the storyline reminding us of her mother and things she had gone through was intense and gripping. Please keep to your lane...

Just disappointed
mbhbrh30 October 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Grey's often hits controversial topics, and usually I can make it though an episode. I try to see the other side. This one was just Over. The. Top. All I could think is I'd hate to have a small child that would suddenly appear in the room and ask "what's that?"

Bailey coming back to fight the war for women.....Addison presumably needing to keep working (bc presumably her working long hours was going to keep kids from having sex?). And now Jo is an attending again? Owen and Teddy's bit about her being mad at him all the time....apparently she just needed sex.? The students/interns are just meh. The one girl that, of course, had sex with Link before knowing she would be working at his hospital - that "awkward joke" is getting old.

Time to wrap it up Grey's. You have nothing more to do. It's clear everyone is tired. They're caricatures of themselves. I don't even buy Meredith's relationship with Minnesota guy. And she gets mad at him and the others for letting Zola play in the lab while they figure out she's gifted? It's not like they were doing exploratory surgery.

Just stop. No really....this needs to be the last season.

This Was One Long Screeching Whine
jimalba-8788711 November 2022
Warning: Spoilers
How...how...how....is this show still on the air, much less popular? I have been a watcher from day one, but this show should have ended at least 4 years ago and "Let's Talk About Sex" officially puts the nail in the coffin of this show. It has now entered parody territory and is embarrassing itself.

We get it, the writers and likely actors are very upset about the Roe v. Wade news, but my gosh, this whole episode could have been replaced with one of those memes of the screeching person with purple hair and 10 piercings in her face.

Once again the show has given up acting and story arcs for speech making. All the main characters in the episode- Bailey, Wilson, Montgomery, Meredith Grey, etc. All had to just not even bother acting and give a speech about how (insert negative emotion here) feel. Montgomery felt "erased"? WTF?

So to set up the whining, the interns are forced to act in some videos that Wilson and Bailey are putting together to educate teens about sex. Naturally, a bunch of teens (about 30 of them) come to the hospital to watch the videos being taped, because it doesn't make sense to send the doctors to the school. Oh and of course, one of the teen girls discovers she is pregnant while at the film session! Who could have seen that coming? ALL OF US DID! Then, another girl just falls out with a massive ovarian cyst....but of course! Luckily, Montgomery and Bailey, who do not even work at the hospital anymore, are there to operate and save the girl. Also, did you know that granting surgical privileges is as easy as waving your hand? Bailey asks for them, Webber waves his hand and says "you got 'em". Same for Montgomery...easy peasy.

Just when you think this episode can't get anymore embarrassing or hamfisted, they have all the characters dancing in the video! I was so embarrassed for every one of those actors. This show didn't just "Jump the Shark" it blew up the shark. Horrendous!

In other stories in the episode, we have now discovered that Meredith and (the late) Derek's daughter Zola is a prodigy, a freaking super genius! Didn't see that coming either, right? Well, let's grant her surgical privileges! She'll be the next "Doogie Howser" by the end of the season, you can book it.

Also, the great Marla Gibbs ("The Jeffersons") appears as a grandmother of an intern who has Alzheimers and yet only Meredith, someone she has never met, can seem to talk to her. Go Meredith!

Finally, the episode closes with everyone doing the dirty boogie. Owen and the ever irritating Teddy, who have been at each other's throats for 3 episodes so far, get back together when Owen learns that one of the erogenous zones on a woman is behind the knee. So he walks in the room, places his hand behind her knee for 1.2 seconds, then proceeds to throw her around and dry hump her. I didn't know an erogenous zone was actually an easy button! Shoot, I've been doing it all wrong my whole adult life! All I had to do is press the button behind the knee and then sha-bam, I'm getting me some!

This was some of the worst tv I have ever seen. I need to cleanse my brain and watch some old shows like NYPD Blue, The Sopranos, etc. To remind myself that: A. At one point, writers actually wrote interesting stories, and B. There were actors who really gave a crap.
