Within this cinematic tapestry, the characters unfold as captivating enigmas, and the narrative woven around them exudes a subtle beauty. The pace of the narration, though deliberate, finds its rhythm, allowing the story to unfurl gracefully.

Naveen Chandra and Swathi, with their performances, breathe life into their respective roles, showcasing a profound commitment to their craft. Shreya Navile and Harsha Chemudu deliver impeccable portrayals in their respective roles, while the supporting ensemble complements the narrative admirably.

The musical score harmonizes seamlessly with the film's emotional cadence, enhancing its evocative power. Cinematography and the various technical aspects maintain a commendable standard throughout.

In this endeavor, the director demonstrates a refined artistic vision, crafting a work of superior quality.

For those who relish heartwarming narratives, the theater screen beckons, offering an immersive experience. However, if such tales are not your preference, I recommend an OTT platform, but do not overlook the opportunity to savor this beautiful film.

Madhu
kiran3534 November 2023
Warning: Spoilers
The director nailed the movie. Brilliant acting by Naveen and Swathi Reddy. The movie flips along the lives of two individuals before and after marriage. How a wife stayed with her husband for 19 years , the virtue of patience, and how finally the patience wears out in a relationship. The way Naveen Chandra responded to the question in the movie " Why did his walk out from him " was simply great . He went to mutton shop to buy mutton and she simply was not at home when he came back. Kudos to the entire team , even the 19 year old Madhu trying to understand relationships from her viewpoint was also well captured. In a relationship, we cannot take our partners for granted and if we ever take them then what would be the end result is what this movie was all about.

I would love to see more movies from the director and writer of this movie. The movie was released without any marketing or fanfare but had a very good content and strong acting performances from the cast.

One of Naveen Chandra's best performance till date. The conversation of Harsha Chemudu and Naveen while drinking was also nice.

Harsha Chemudu also did his part very well in the movie.v.

So very real, such involved characters and writing!
Thippadu27 November 2023
Why can't movies be this realistic? It was such a delight to get a glimpse of everything in Madhu's life, side stories, and the vibes of the city. A very strong cast. It kept me wanting for more towards the end, with that I can tell the director succeeded. I wonder how much thinking Srikanth Nagothi had to put through in writing this. Evadiki telusuuu? Velpoindhi... I don't think one can come up with such concepts just like that.

The best part is there is no judging, the film just presents events, perspectives and leaves us to interpret. Apart from the NRI Madhu, if you think about the plot and how it unfolds, it's pretty bland, but still you'll find yourself glued throughout.

Way too much on the face at times, way too many switches to the past and forth made it hard to follow at times, but whatever, it is such a fresh attempt. Need more, many more of such attempts. Loved it! I was totally immersed for those 2+ hours of watchtime.

In my opinion, DJ Tillu took TFI forward in 2022, and then it is Month of Madhu showing the direction to industry in 2023! Enough commercial craps, we need these flicks.

Portraying Human attachment style through a Sea Wave!
girishbojja12 November 2023
Warning: Spoilers
For those who misunderstood the Pacing and Narrative style of 'Month of madhu' here's what I would like to say I believe Filmmaker Srikanth Nagothi wanted to compare Humans and their attachment styles to a Sea Wave. A Wave struggles alot to be born, reaches the shore, it looks so beautiful arriving at the shore but it goes back again immediately destroying itself.

The screenplay narrative structure follows the same pattern of a wave where the characters almost seem like reaching a resolution towards the end but they again go back to their past selves like a sea wave.

The director tried to portray the human condition here i.e. The innate nature of humans where they want to choose the people they love but instead choose misery for themselves every time in ways that are mostly unhelpful. They later look back on those sacrifices and call it as 'love'. This is the basic human flaw.

Tying the human condition to a sea wave was beautiful! Month of madhu is Seminal!

Month of Madhu - A movie revolutionary!
taskpiggy10 October 2023
Month of Madhu is tale with real life characters who live next to us. The director Srikanth shown us what is cinema, and how is it done. Madhu (naveen Chandra) and Madhu (Shreya navya) belong to two different worlds happen to meet and what happens next. This movie shows us what true love looks like, the decisions made in love and out of love.

Lekha(Swati) is the most realistic character of any movie till date, she takes you to her life.

Vasuki (Gnaneswari kandregula) is an epitome of beauty and her performance makes you cry with her.

Viva harsha is the best comedy and actor ever. Mayya!

Camera man did great job. Music is awesome.

Well made !
naveenkrishnanh4 December 2023
I loved this film - loved the acting, script, direction, cinematography, and score.

The pacing is slow and I felt the movie possibly could be trimmed a bit and maybe some more insight into the now of the couple be shown (we are shown mostly the old, their times before marriage).

There characters are all fleshed out really well (other than perhaps the parents of he NRI girl and the mobile shop guy - who was a promising character, but needed a better depth in the film )

The score and songs are good - especailly the score - it elevated the movie brilliantly without being intrusive.

Highly recommended for anyone into serious movies.

A tale of 3/4 kg mutton.
chand-suhas30 November 2023
Madhusudhan and Lekha have been separated with Lekha applying for divorce citing his alcoholism as one of the major reason. He spends all his time drinking and hoping she would come back, refusing to divorce her. A 19 year old NRI teen Madhu arrives in India to attend a marriage. She feels alienated in both the countries and has frequent clash with her disapproving mother, be it the way she behaves or how overweight she is. How these two Madhus meet and why goes through their lives, will Madhu and Lekha divorce or will Madhu and her mom make up, forms rest of the story.

On paper, it definitely sounded far more decent than what was executed on screen. Definitely, the performances elevated the scenes quite a lot and the non-linear narrative helped to stay invested with the story. But, the way I was connected to the story of Madhusudhan and Lekha, I felt as disconnected with the story of Madhu and not that I couldn't follow her story but how her subplot felt had nothing to contribute to Madhusudhan, neither she takes away anything from his life. It's just two random strangers meeting and talking to no avail.

If I get to separate these two stories and entirely then it appears much better with Madhusudhan and Lekha story having much weight and most importantly being relatable. To put it simply, it was more wholesome. Here's a couple who loved each other and then they fell out of love. The mystery behind why the parted is well kept till the end though it's not hard to predict but is more satisfying in seeing the character remember and realise in the end. Overall, Month of Madhu is in a way a missed opportunity and could have been a far better film if the NRI story was handled more effectively.

What is this?
raulzhere-1539720 February 2024
I don't understand what is the essence of the movie! What is the point of the movie? You just showed how one month goes on with various characters..I remember chantabbai where sree lakshmi creates a character just to show how rasam is prepared.. what is the message here? What is there to admire in this?

The only thing good about this is how refreshing swathi is! And that girl from UsA, what an over acting..

The whole new age cinema makes sense only if there is something about these stories.

Movie tries to be wannabe but falls short of minimum expectations and minimum story telling prowess. Its a dud.

It's an art movie for art purpose, appreciate it!!
praneethaklc24 November 2023
When I watched it for the 2nd time, I have realized more of what director really wants to show through this movie.

Every character at its best. Less dialogues with great expression.

This movie making must have needed a lot of observations of different characters and their way of showing affection, and people around them.

It has so many hard hitting points with a deeper meaning.

Definitely this movie is not for commercial purpose.

How many times I ever watch, May be if will feel new Everytime just like a piece of abstract art Music is extraordinary. Music and dialogues Felt very close to heart.

The mutton biryani that takes forever to cook!
chrysolytec18 February 2024
Watch MoM on your mobile or your laptop when you've got a great game of tennis or something far more engaging is playing on the TV.

It's the pace of narration that gets to you at first, and then you start noticing that it's a story of a typical cocky, irresponsible and egoistic youngster who's, by local standards better looking than the rest of the unkempt lot. All Naveen Chandra had to do was rehash his role in Ammu. It's usually those girls with low EQ that fall prey to characters like these. And Swati did well as the ignorant teen and the practical young lady.

The US track looks like it was slapped on so that a short film can pass off as feature length movie.

While it's understandable that the mutton packet is kept a mystery until the end, it's criminal to parch the audience with hot air for the length of the film.

The chances of viewers tapping out in the middle of 2nd half are very high. This mutton biryani takes forever to cook.

Art movie with very real characters
myspacehere31 December 2023
I don't know how to rate this movie. I gave an 8, but I'm not sure whether that is accurate or not. I think art movies makes us feel that way.

The characters are so real that I felt their emotions. It was like seeing how couple of our friends were during their twenties, and what they have turned into 20 years later.

Thoughts after watching this film: Why do we say someone is flawed? Why do we say a character in a book or a movie is a flawed character? What is the oppsite of flawed person and does such person really exist? Why can't we just say making mistakes or taking bad decisions or falling for an addiction is just being HUMAN. Being flawed is being human.

A new kind of storytelling.
Satwick987 November 2023
Warning: Spoilers
The movie is a deep enquiry into human nature and soul. The characters in the movie are lively and can be relatable. Decent cinematography picturing Vizag and it's character. The storyline touched upon the contemporary issues that need to be discussed. Not your usual romantic flicks they release these days, this one is different.

The Actors in the Film did an amazing job. Issues of post marriage and divorce, cultural differences NRI children face are well portrayed in the film. The film was new and the screenplay was cool and not rushed upon. Felt really different from the usual contemporary films.

Great romantic drama with superb performances!
HollyGolightly12324 November 2023
Warning: Spoilers
I simply loved the movie and am surprised that it didn't get better reviews here. May be some of us need empathy to truly appreciate it. Though the story is simple, the performances make it stay with you. Madhumati's story is familiar. But it was very difficult to watch deterioration of Lekha and Madhusudan overtime. Alcoholism is a disease and it destroys you and your loved ones. Actors Naveen, Swathi, Harsha were just incredible so is the newcomer Shreya. The music was lovely. The climax was so heartbreaking and pragmatic. We just hope Lekha finds her happiness and peace; Madhusudan gets treatment and better friends to help him; Madhumati finds love while she understands herself.

If you are in a mood for poignant love stories, I highly recommend it.
