Pia describes being trans as like 'a course of endurance.' She says that coming out to her family was difficult. She moved out from home as a teenager when she did. Today her family accepts her, however five months ago she lost her father, who she says was the most supportive person in her life. It has been a difficult time since she also recently recovered from a bad breakup. These challenges were what inspired Pia to go to Turkey and get her breasts done. Today is the day that she shows her breasts to her best friend Beth who's always been there for her from the time she first came out.

Lana is an aesothician, drag performer and Missouri's first transgender homecoming queen. She remembers telling her high school friend when she came out as trans, but it took a bit longer to tell her mum. She sent her mum a text in the lead up to a cheerleading banquet saying she was wearing a dress, and her mum then didn't attend the banquet. However, when Lana won homecoming it was clear to her family that she was happy as a trans woman in a school full of people who accepted her. Lana could also handle herself against the haters who protested outside her school. These days, although they sometimes have their concerns, Lana's family is very supportive of her.

Victoria, 24, is a transgender woman from Rhode Island. As a child she "always knew that I identified with the girls in my life." Her dreams were filled with magical fairy tales too: "When I was a little kid I used to watch Disney Princesses and their wedding scenes," however, this was frowned upon by some people around her at the time, "as I got older and transitioned, I was told by people - you will never get married, or it will be hard to find someone to love you." Now Victoria has her dream man by her side, Chris, who she met in high school. The pair reconnected later in life and fell in love. Chris proposed at the Grand Canyon and now the couple are planning their perfect nuptials.

Nofar, who's 22 and grew up in Israel, transitioned at 15 and started taking hormone replacement therapy at 17. As a trans woman in Israel she's faced plenty of barriers. Her father didn't accept her as trans growing up which made it harder for her to get permission to medically transition. She says she had to stand in front of a judge and beg them to let her begin taking hormones, fortunately the judge said yes and the hormones have changed her life. During the earlier stages of Nofar's transition strangers would yell at her on the street, but that doesn't happen anymore. Nofar believes that it is thanks to taking hormones that people have stopped harassing her as now no one can tell that she was born presenting as male. Today Nofar is going to walk down a street that she used to be afraid of and enjoy her new freedom as a trans woman.
