I am happy and even delighted to see a show highlighting a family navigating the design challenges of buying a funeral home as a private home. This family is quite inspiring; They've taken what most "judge" as the macabre and have turned yet another "stigma" into something beautiful, eye-opening and entertaining. I love how they've lifted the veil, and show the viewers how their love as a family, their style, wit & humour are just like anyone else. Theirs are just peppered with more black clothing 😉 I absolutely adore this family & what they are doing...for all of us to see.

At first I was hesitant but I can't stop watching... give me season 2

At first, I was very hesitant, and didn't figure I would watch more than 15 minutes of the first episode, before I knew it I was on episode four and even stopping and going back to episode one and re-watching pieces that I missed. This morning when I woke up, a new episode had dropped and I am truly looking forward and hoping to see a season two on this. I like to see that they're her alternative styles than just Joanna Gaines, and shiplap. I must say that discovery did a wonderful job fill me in a I must say that discovery did a wonderful job filming and executing this series. I truly hope that season two is redoing and rebuilding the outside of the home. Travis, Virginia, US.

I like renovation shows, and I adore funny real-life family shows. THIS IS IT! I get everything right here! The kids are great; they have a wonderfully real and fun-filled relationship with their parents. The renovation results are off the chain! I soo hope they find a way to continue this series past the renovation. I doubt it, 'cause who wants to live under cameras and lights? I'd like to thank the Blumberg family for sharing this adventure with Discovery+ and with all of their viewers. This has been a delightful series, and I know I will watch the entire series multiple times to pick up the little details I know I've missed. Cudos!!

Very Entertaining

Love this show. Watched all 1st season episodes and sincerely hoping for another season. I honestly wasn't expecting too much when I first came across it. It ended up being completely addictive.

It can be best described as The Osbournes, Ghost Adventures, and your favorite fixer upper show merge as one. Each of the family members is witty and their interaction is almost exactly what you would expect from the concept - except they are still individually unpredictable because of their natural wit. Arguably, the best part of the show is seeing how the townsfolk react to the stars of the show.

There isn't anything I don't like about this show and really want more.

SO in Australia we have a Reno show called The Block, please don't watch it, its really gone down hill and its crap. I cannot wait for my fellow Australians to watch WBAFH they are going to love it for what they have missed out on seeing on The Block for a long time - renovations.

Oh but wait there is so so so much more.

There is a wonderful , loving , caring, nurturing and hilarious family involved that will show you how they have fun every day through a renovation of a stunning old lady that is their old victorian house , aka The Funeral Home. Something that well just doesn't happen on our Reno shows, happy people getting along. Never have I seen a really nice bunch of people , a family but also the tradies working together on a beautiful old house and team it with showing us around the community they live in and all of the people who have previously lived or worked at the home telling us stories along the way - it is so bloody fantastic oh and the renovations - I mean WOW - absolutely stunning is an understatement of what has been recreated - the house has been totally respected , nothing silly here , a bit different yes but nothing that insults the fine home but improves and shows her real character and with some really clever surprise "things" that I don't want to give away. Oh and that Kitchen OMG no no no OMFG just wait for it and Aussies just wait for the producers of The Block to set their eyes on it and realise this is how a kitchen should have looked in a 5 million dollar home - viewers of The Block 2022 will know what I am talking about! Please do yourself the greatest honour and check in with this beautiful family and see the love they gave to this beautiful home - 10/10 - Please please please bring us a season 2!!!!

I absolutely adore this family. They're hilarious and I'm not sure if the humor is on purpose or accidental, but they are definitely an entertaining family. Honestly, at first I was not sure if I was going to watch it because I have had my fill of home improvement shows, but I have thoroughly enjoyed watching the funeral home remodel. This is not your typical home renovation show for sure. I love the family chemistry and I also I like the fact that there is a mild paranormal aspect to it because many of us would be wondering if they have ghosts so might as well incorporate the topic into the overall adventure of renovating a funeral home. I really hope that the series will continue even after the home reno is finished because this is one family I could watch every week.

We Bought A Funeral Home is kind of a mashup of DIY, thriller, and "The Addams Family." The show revolves around a family of four who purchase and move in to a 12,000 s.f. Former funeral home. We follow the family as they tear through a LOT of cash transforming the place into the home of their dreams. The kids are teenagers, and seriously cool individuals. Mom and Dad are also... let's just say I want them to be my neighbors. Good, clean DIY reality with good, clean suspense and so much more. This is one of those rare must-see shows. Easily 10/10 stars! One of the incredibly rare shows that never drags or loses my attention, I openly plead to.the network to RENEW THIS SHOW for another season!

Ya think! For another reviewer. Moving on, I have never rated anything a 10 so I'm a little embarrassed that I'm rating a show of this nature as such but it really is fantastic. This eccentric family is fascinating; the parents are wonderful parents -- the family dynamic is a significant element of the show. The house itself is extraordinary, as is the interior design, and the goings-on. Whether or not you're into paranormal activity, its its very interesting ranging from investigative to spooky to just plan ridiculous = hilarious. I'm not quite through with all of the episodes, but I did want to leave a ***** review to encourage others to watch it because I do think that it is entertainment at its best, and I would absolutely like to see a part two!

I thought I was going to hate this show. I thought it would be cheesy, overdone, and just plain stupid. I was so wrong. I was hooked at the first episode. This family is so wonderful and fun to watch. They're quirky, sweet, funny, talented, interesting, and just really likable. Their renovations and the adventures to get to the finished results of each area of the new family home are very cool and creative. I was just sad that the show only carried 6 episodes. I could literally watch this family all year round, moving from home to home. I have no idea where they found this family, but I'm grateful to have been able to fill my Halloween season with the joy of this show and i hope Discovery+ brings them back!

I just finished watching all the episodes and find myself wondering what I shall watch now. I am so sad that they are finished remodeling the Funeral home, because I really loved watching this family and there remodeling adventures! Please tell me there are more rooms or something they can do to make a season 2! I must also say... Thank you for inviting everyone to watch your adventures. I really need to give props to Dave as well. I would love to find a contractor like him for some of my remodels. Also How did you find all the design ideas! Do you have a background in design? I wish I could have such wonderful ideas for a house! I did ask my daughter and her boyfriend if they would be willing to buy a old funeral home and renovate it. She laughed at me. So I am thinking not!

Good show and I was thinking about pitching something like this show but I thought for sure no one would watch it. I bought a funeral home that was built 1912, and has been a funeral home for 100 years until I bought it. Wish i would've capitalized like they did. Maybe someone will see this and he like hey they're pagens in a funeral home and make a show about us lol. We're pagens of have turned the funeral home, into a safe space for pagens and or LGBTQ +. Why does the review have to be a set amount of letters how does that make any since, since Pele just like to say a short little review. So why make me type so much more.

Good show other than the ghost stuff

The show is great and fun. Definitely a different style of home than I would personally do but it's still an enjoyable experience to watch a family remodel a home. The only issue I have is the paranormal stuff. It's kind of cringey and it takes away from the real substance in the show. I'd much rather watch them talk to more locals about real stories about the home, at least then we'd be consuming something authentic and not some made up filler. I enjoy the narration from the sons perspective, I almost wish the whole show was from his perspective, would make it feel more personal. Otherwise the show is great for someone wanting to indulge in a family remodeling show with a dark gothic vibe. If you believe in fairy tales you'll enjoy it even better!

Awesome Elegant Renovation Until they Run Out of Money in the Last Episode

The kitchen turned out to be something of your dreams! The bedroom with the star ceiling is fabulous. The green parlor with the big face pic is very cool. BUT at the end of the show the decorating went off the rails IMHO when they ran out of money to spend on more reno. They should have left well enough alone until the proper amount of money for a proper reno of the foyer and stairway could be accomplished! A home of that caliber cries out for an astounding, elegant foyer and not a mural that would be much more appropriate in a child's bedroom.. NOT in a Victorian-Goth foyer!!! Still it's nice that funeral homes are being turned into family homes again. I've always noticed that the best home in any small town is the funeral home- AND they can usually be purchased for a song!
