At first I thought that this film was going to be about growing up gay and the anxiety that this can evoke. But I soon realized that NO ONE's sexual anxiety would be off limits here. In fact, the age-old theme of a woman feeling that marriage is expected of her but questioning that goal is a big part of the plot line and is handled in an atypical and entertaining way. In fact, the entire movie--while poignant at times--is usually very funny, always visually interesting (especially the toe scene ... no spoilers here), and underscores the complexity of relationships, or the quest for them. I recommend this film for adult audiences or for older teens. My 14-year-old son liked it, too, but the proverbial "Parental Guidance" is highly advisable.
