Another one checks off all the Christmas story boxes
Jackbv1235 December 2022
Save the fitness center from big time developer. Audrey flees NYC after a boyfriend fight and failed business. The boyfriend won't give up and dangles a good job opportunity back in NY. The lead couple crashes into each other and they exchange unpleasantries. Of course, he is the developer's son. Though the fundraiser project is a bit on the unusual side.

Amanda Kloots brings a lot of energy, maybe a bit too much, to the part of Audrey. She and Paul Greene have good chemistry, but the sparring part of the relationship continues past halfway in the movie. The other acting is good. The script is decent with some funny moments even if most of it is filled with the usual Christmas activities and contests and too much of the checklist "you like him".

Overall, this story is more of the usual stuff with no great highs or lows or surprises. It appeared originally in primetime on a legacy network where it is a little different from their norm, but it would get totally lost amid all the similar movies shown on the 24/7 Christmas movie networks like Hallmark and Lifetime.

Meh

Apparently, I am in the minority but I did not love this movie. While like many, I am a fan of both Amanda and Paul, I found the swing in Audrey's personality from over-the-top bubbly fitness instructor to hostile Griffin hater just too much, and not realistic - particularly in the opening scenes. I also found some of the fitness segments a bit frantic. Perhaps some of this is over-acting or just the nature of a quickly made film with minimal re-takes. Hoping all the holiday moviemakers will move on soon from the same old save the (fill-in the blank) trope. There must be creativity out there. This one - like many others this season - was formulaic.

Feels good but overly formulaic
CHTO767 December 2022
While I've enjoyed countless Christmas movies featuring Paul Greene, I'm afraid this one has got to be one of the watch-and-forget Christmas movies of 2022. I find Griffin (Paul's character) to be very off-putting and sometimes downright condescending toward Audrey (Amanda Kloots), and despite all the charm from Paul and bubbly energy coming from Amanda, watching the two of them getting together just felt off to me. The story sends an usual message to impressionable people out there: that it is totally OK for men to bully and mansplain things to women as long as they are charming and women would still fall for them. The fact that the best friend kept hinting just how good looking Griffin was (we get it) the whole time only made the romantic direction of the movie felt even more forced and unnatural. Don't get me wrong, I'm a huge fan of Hallmark Christmas movies and all the actors and actresses that have tirelessly put out hundreds of feel-good movies for us year after year, but this one really should've been shelved or at least rewritten before it was green-lit in the first place.

Pretty good but I've seen better
vchimpanzee5 December 2022
I like movies like this, but somehow. Audrey wasn't quite what I am looking for. Amanda Kloots is pretty enough when she dresses up and she looks great in exercise wear, but her personality doesn't do much for me most of the time. I like my romantic comedy females cuter.

I actually found myself liking the villain but never quite accepted him as a possible match for Audrey. Paul Greene was quite charming and he could be likable, even if I was rooting for the town to stay the same.

It was a beautiful town both inside the buildings and out, with nice people, and the snow was nice. I only like snow when it is on a TV screen or in a photo or decorations. The overhead shots with the mountains were great.

It was fun watching the process of saving the town, even if that didn't necessarily mean what we all hoped for. This movie pretty much sticks to the formula.

Some of the music was good but I definitely didn't care for the so-called Christmas music in Audrey's exercise classes. Even if it was a classic song, anything in that class was not my idea of good music and definitely not at Christmas.

There is one cute scene with a little boy who has two lines.

Is this family friendly? I didn't see anything wrong. CBS aired two movies in this genre last year and both were TV-G. I don't see why this one couldn't have been as well, though one married couple was talking about what they had to do to have a baby, and maybe Audrey doing amazing things with her body bordered on naughty. The woman is quite flexible.

Can I recommend this movie? If you just want to watch movies like this over and over, probably, but I can't say for sure this was as good as some others. If you get tired of them and want to choose a few, maybe not this one. It just depends on the kind of woman you're looking for.

Is there a ZERO rating?
reaganjagger5 December 2022
The only bright light was Elvis. Amanda was so hammy and cringe. Horrible premise for a Christmas movie, even the traditional Hallmark actors and actresses couldn't save this ...and yes, I know this was not on the Hallmark channel. What I found creepy and very off putting , was the other love interest who looked like Amanda's husband and she rejected him for the Hallmark actor. This was among the worst Christmas movies over the last number of years. Why can't a Christmas movie say it is a Christmas movie? What is a "holiday movie"? Can we please go back to movies , pre-2018 for good Christmas movies? Not a good movie.

A Christmas Winner!
mattgreen-299636 December 2022
Warning: Spoilers
This was actually really fun and definitely better than your normal Hallmark Christmas movie but some of the choices were not my cup of tea. I think the love-and-hate back and forth between the two leads became a bit of a cliché by the end. As a matter of fact, I much preferred Audrey's story-line with Bradley. Their scenes were more interesting and genuinely had us wondering if he'd win her back or not. The proposal moment had me grinning from ear to ear. I was even hoping the final twist would be them ending together. The Lisa and Jim moments were so very sweet, especially with the pregnancy reveal, oh my God!

For her first time in a lead role, I think Amanda Kloots did a great job, and injecting her fitness background in the character was genius. Paul Greene was hunky-dory as he always is. And I never saw him before, but the actor playing Bradley did a marvelous job with such a sweet and heartfelt performance.

Overall, Fit for Christmas was tons of fun from CBS that I'd recommend to anyone who likes Christmas TV Movies.

Blech
jeffoswald11 December 2022
I suggested to my wife we watch this together and share a little holiday romantic time. How bad could it be? Thirty minutes into it she asks "Isn't there a football game on?" Channel changed. We knew it was going to be cheesy and that is what you expect in a Hallmark style holiday movie. But, this was stale even for the tried and true 'finding love at Christmas' formula. Perhaps, the writers should try something a little different? This plot has been tried in so many variations that it is hard to create anything original or fresh. On the bright side, the venue looked great. I find it hard to believe that it wasn't a tourist destination already.

Is it just me but was the lead female, just way over the top no matter what? But seeing how she had so much input,no wonder or another more suitable actress would of been chosen.

Was like a typical Hallmark holiday movie, just on another channel.

Another overdone storyline, full of clichés galore! Oh no,a corporation is taking over & we(small town residents)must rebel.. At least it wasn't about saving the holiday fair or something as generic, lol.

Liked that all the decor, but still didn't help save this movie.

Overall cast decent, enjoy Paul G & acting was fine by other cast but again.. The lead female, ugh!

I suggest she go back to acting school,if it wasn't how the director told her to be.. During parts of the movie looked as though she had odd hair highlights or tinsel,a bit distracting.

Check this out,if you can't find"anything"to watch.

I adore Amanda Kloots but not this movie
skcusyteixna18 December 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Amanda is such a bright light in this world and I wanted so badly to like this movie but I'm really struggling. The acting was ok but the movie was so cliche, nothing really surprised me and the ups and downs didn't feel genuine. I think what really killed it for me is the message, "nothing you do can save this rec center but if you woo the business man and look pretty enough, he'll do it for you!" Just... not what I was expecting from such a fierce and independent person. In the end, Audrey needed Griffen to make the choice to save the rec center, regardless of how hard she tried. Still love Amanda, though. And Elvis' scene was the BEST.

My go-to Christmas Flick for 2022!
katsteb15 December 2022
It was great! But I'm bias because I'm a huge Amanda Kloots fan. I've been following her forever and she's been a weekly companion in my workout regiments. After watching her on The Talk I was so excited to find out she was doing a Christmas movie. They're not always my go-to holiday flicks but once in a while, on a lazy afternoon, I indulge myself. And I'm glad I did. She was spectacular; especially considering it was her first time. I had seen her co-star Paul Greene on Hallmarks before and I think they really look like they had fun working together.

I have to say though; the actor who played her gorgeous New York fiancée really elevated the film for me. I know that he was never going to end up with her, sadly, but still I found myself rooting for him so much. I think Stephan Miers did an extraordinary job in making me believe every scene he had with Amanda. He didn't have many with Griffin but the ones they did share were really funny! It was such an entertaining rivalry at times. I hope I see Stephan in more of these movies because he brings a fresh authenticity that's often missing.

Also, it was shot really well and the entire town looked beautiful. I wish I could spend Christmas over there to be honest.

Make sure to check out Fit for Christmas this holiday season, it brought me much needed joy and entertainment.

Great rom con
vjf366 December 2022
One of the better hallmark romantic comedy's Amanda Koots was an excellent choice for the lead. Great chemistry between two leads also no distractions with other characters. Almost felt like the original hallmark movies were done. Just an good old fashion Christmas movie. Not overdone no hitting you over the head. Enjoyable movie.

Supporting characters were just that good supporting cast. But the best part is Amanda Koots. I was pleasantly surprised by her actong OK and how much she jelled with the lead. In addition no hidden messages by hallmark or characters this was. Refreshing movie and much better typical rom coms.

Fit & Fun for Christmas!!
MovieQween-336225 December 2022
I was so excited for this movie as a Paul Greene fan, he's so charming, talented and always fun to watch. He had such amazing chemistry with the darling Amanda Kloots!! This movie is Amanda's movie debut, she also serves as co writer and producer. She/Her character have such great energy and is beyond gorgeous. Amanda and Paul looked like they were having an absolute blast filming this and it was just as fun to watch as a viewer. I love that fitness was at the forefront and of course a love triangle. There's so much humor, love, festivity and of course all the feels. Loved Paul Greene and Amanda Kloots together on a major network broadcast movie, such a fun film!

I could not stop smiling while watching the movie! Paul and Amanda had great chemistry and the way they picked at each other made me laugh. I loved the storyline. It was so refreshing and different from other Christmas movies. I would love to live in a town like Mistletoe. I have always been a fan of Paul's and had really never knew of Amanda but after this movie, I am truly an Amanda Kloots fan now! She is so spunky and beautiful! Paul is such a great person and will forever be one of my favorite actors! The whole cast did an excellent job and this is definitely my favorite Christmas movie now!

Fun to Watch!
kayepryor5 December 2022
I really enjoyed the story and the beautiful scenery, plus the great chemistry between Amanda & Paul. It was great casting overall. There is so much negative news on TV and it really helps to see a fun movie for the holidays that brings some light into the world. I sincerely applaud CBS and everyone involved for providing some much needed relief from the so called "news." Keep those creative vibes going and enjoy the craft of telling stories! Thanks to everyone! Would love to see more movies like this and hope there are more in the works. Also, enjoyed Amanda's Live Instagram on 12/4 and wish everyone Happy Holidays!

Fit for Christmas for the win
BurberryGal6 December 2022
I absolutely adored this movie!!! Amanda Kloots makes her first acting/movie debut with the handsome Paul Greene in this holiday rom com. I've been a long fan of Paul Greene, his acting and singing, and I believe this is his best acting to date! Really glad to see him on a CBS movie this year. The dialogue and humor was quick and felt really natural with these two, not to mention their chemistry... Wow!!! The supporting cast was also quite funny and a blast to watch!! The entire cast really seemed like they were having the best time on this movie. There was heart, soul, holiday desserts, fitness, laughs, cries and lots of Christmas nostalgia. Such a great, adorable film!! Absolutely loved it. Would love a sequel.
