Once again, another episode I find on the half and half line.

Warning: Spoilers
The good parts of this episode are very good. But the lows only find me being annoyed. I found the three subplots to be good in their own right, but don't work too well in an episode setting and don't find themselves an even centre of attention too much. Walden's plot takes up most of the episode, while Alan's subplot that leads itself to be entertaining is rarely used, much to its high potential. Jake's subplot is entertaining but while the dynamic between him and his tutor makes sense, the tutor herself does not. Oh well, I did enjoy this episode. Although I still think that the characters are only becoming stereotypes based on their formal selves. At least they're self aware about it when Charlie's journal reads that he saw a bright future in the boy.

Those Fancy Days and this Mistake..

Warning: Spoilers
Yet again, Walden can't help but bore the viewers with his witless, emotionless acting and lack of spontaneity. The part of Alan was good. As it appears through the story now, the show brought back the wits of Charlie somehow (in way of his journal stories), and how his humors on the non-adventurous and pitiful life of Alan worked on viewers. Walden has got no sex-appeal, whatsoever, to make all girls, Berta and Alan's mother falling for him. Showing him without clothes is becoming a regular tradition now, for this is the third time he is shown nude (though only topless this time).. The chat between Walden and Ms Harper in balcony was a Sh** load of boring stuff. Then again the part inside bedroom with Walden explaining the changes he needed was nowhere interesting to watch. Only time I smiled in this episode was when Alan first gets so excited and then disappointed to find journal of Charlie. I think Charlie should be brought back to the show, in form of some ghost or whatever, but people would love to see him back!!

7 episodes and the charm grows
jazebelle4 November 2011
After 7 episodes with Ashton Kutcher in the revamped Two and a Half Men, I have no doubt this series is going to stick around for a couple more seasons.

This episode was genuinely funny, and it's the first episode that showcased all the main characters of Two and a Half Men that has made the series a success thus far.

It's getting better and is picking up quite quickly. I hope to see a little bit more of Judith and Herb too in the coming episodes, and am eager to see what else Waldon Smidth has to give.

Still a fan, always will be!
