THE INFECTED is a VERY low budget zombie film to come out of Mexico. There are just a handful of characters and the whole thing takes place in a countryside setting to cut down on costs. It doesn't have a bad filming style, even though the low budget is apparent throughout, but the level of originality is very low, with the zombie outbreak occurring exactly as in dozens of other productions; only the setting is different.
There's not much in the way of dialogue in this film, which follows the plight of three adults and a kid as they attempt to escape pursuing zombies at every turn. The zombie scares aren't bad, although if you're expecting gore you'll be disappointed as it's generally avoided.
