Before joining The Walking Dead universe as Pearl Thorne in The Ones Who Live, Lesley-Ann Brandt starred in a variety of roles for TV and film. The South African actor is well-known for taking on projects in horror, fantasy, and other traditionally “nerdy” genres, having appeared in shows like Gotham, The Librarians, and most notably Lucifer.
With a variety of roles under her belt, here’s where else you’ve seen Lesley-Ann Brandt before.
Lucifer
As mentioned previously, Brandt is most known for her role as Lucifer’s (Tom Ellis) right-hand Mazikeen in the hit TV series Lucifer. Mazikeen a.k.a. Maze is known for her fierce loyalty, though she sometimes struggles to adapt her brash nature to the human world. Brandt does a phenomenal job of portraying Maze’s growth from demon with a penchant for sadistic torture to a slightly more vulnerable and human demon with a penchant for sadistic torture.

The shows competing for the 2024 Best TV Stunt Ensemble SAG Award are “Ahsoka,” “Barry,” “Beef,” “The Last of Us,” and “The Mandalorian.” Based on our racetrack odds, “The Last of Us” performers (16/5) are the clear frontrunners, followed in order by those from “Ahsoka” (4/1), “The Mandalorian” (4/1), “Barry” (9/2), and “Beef” (9/2).
The team from “The Mandalorian” are this year’s only returning nominees, having triumphed on their sole previous bid in 2021. This makes the current lineup the fourth in the category’s 17-year history to include a single group of veterans, following cases involving “Dexter” (2011), “Westworld” (2021), and “Cobra Kai” (2022).
“Ahsoka” follows “The Mandalorian” and “Andor” as the third “Star Wars” series to contend for this honor, while it and the former are the first two shows in that franchise to directly face off here. The “Andor” performers were recognized for their first season last year but were ultimately bested by the “Stranger Things” crew.

Driven by a TikTok trend in September, the Roman Empire became a popular topic online, especially fueled by a trend that emerged on TikTok in early September. The trend consists of women asking their boyfriends and husbands how frequently they think about the Roman Empire and being surprised by the answer.
The TikTok trend primarily suggests a male inclination towards the Roman Empire. Looking at the audience demographic breakdown of popular shows in the genre, we can see that their audiences are mostly made up of men, but not overwhelmingly. Beside Starz’s “Spartacus: Gods of the Arena” and UK’s “Britannia,” shows that men made up almost two-thirds of the audience, the other shows on our list below have a balanced gender breakdown. In the case of Netflix’s docudrama “Roman Empire,” the audience is even slightly female-skewed.

The miniseries craze came alive during the late 1970s, but it was in the 80’s that they gained real traction. And while cable networks may have taken a break from them for some time between then and now, with streaming services taking over television, there’s bound to be an influx of more mini-series soon.

Everyone, get out your swords and sandals because we're heading back to the arena! Starz has just announced that it is currently developing a new "Spartacus" series! Forgive the excessive use of exclamation points, but I loved every minute of this show from the first moment to the last, including the prequel "Spartacus: Gods of the Arena."
The first season of the series was entitled "Spartacus: Blood and Sand" and debuted in 2010. Before the second season, star Andy Whitfield was diagnosed with early-stage non-Hodgkin lymphoma, leading to the prequel to give him time to recover. Sadly, he passed away, and the role was recast with Liam McIntyre for season 2, "Spartacus: Vengeance" and season 3, "Spartacus: War of the Damned."
The show was, as our title says, very sexy. Still, it was also a compelling drama about the titular Thracian gladiator who led a revolt of enslaved people against the Roman empire.

In the ninth episode of Season 6, titled “Changelings” (and looking very ominous for Rumple and Belle), the Brit beauty will be playing the Black Fairy, TVLine has confirmed. (Her first name was spelled “Jamie” in an early version of the release, conjuring a bit of confusion.)
Murray most recently played the milky-complexioned alien Stahma Tarr on Syfy’s Defiance.

(Cbr) The slogan "Trust No One" applies to more than just "The X-Files." In season one of "Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.," the team was blindsided and betrayed by their teammate Grant Ward (Brett Dalton), as well as long-time agent and main character Phil Coulson's (Clark Gregg) friend, John Garrett (Bill Paxton). Both secretly served Hydra and were instrumental in S.H.I.E.L.D.'s dismantling. Now, to rebuild the organization and to continue to confront major threats, Coulson -- now director of the new S.H.I.E.L.D. -- has added to his ranks. One new recruit is Isabelle Hartley (Lucy Lawless), a mercenary agent who has a history with Coulson. Seen most recently as Ron Swanson's love interest in "Parks and Recreation," Lawless has an especially storied career in genre television, including her starring role as "Xena: Warrior Princess," plus the acclaimed "Battlestar Galactica" revival and multiple "Spartacus" series.

It looks like Syfy is looking to copy Netflix’s success with previously ran series. They just acquired the rights to Starz series Spartacus reruns. The network announced that will run the full series, including the two seasons of the prequel Spartacus: Gods of the Arena. The series will kick off on June 26th on the network, with no order being announced in how the series will air. But it appears that they may go in the order it originally aired on Starz.
It will be bittersweet to see the series on TV again, but it is a smart move by Syfy. They are seeing that success can come in different ways and re-airing popular series with strong following can provide them with success. This could very well be one of the first series that they will be interested in airing and sharing with their fans. It helps that they are a niche channel,...

If anything can propel a supporting player to a series' forefront, it's to give the character a problematic relative.
Thus, Marisa Ramirez -- alias Detective Danny Reagan's (Donnie Wahlberg) NYPD partner Maria Baez on CBS' "Blue Bloods" -- gets considerable screen time in Friday's (Nov. 22) episode "Bad Blood." Kirk Acevedo ("Oz," "Fringe") guest stars as Baez's estranged brother "Tic-Tac," an ex-drug addict who's the prime suspect in a murder she and Danny probe.
"You finally get to learn a little bit of the backstory of Maria," Ramirez tells Zap2it, "at least between her and her brother. You also find out why she became a cop ... it had to do with him.

The final DVD cover art for Eduardo Rodriguez's 'Fright Night 2' has been selected! Following a nationwide vote from 3 proposed pieces of art the chosen boxart has been confirmed as the more sensual choice of the trio. The artwork, shown below, features the lovely Jaime Murray ('Spartacus: Gods of the Arena', 'Dexter') sporting her blood soaked lips and her notable fang. Actors Will Payne ('Elfie Hopkins'), Sean Power, Chris Waller and Sacha Parkinson all take on roles previously filled by more A-list names including Colin Farrell ('Horrible Bosses'). Following the trio of posters that are being voted on for use as the official DVD artwork for the upcoming home release of 'Fright Night 2' a brand new trailer has come bombing along adding further to the confusing premise which sounds more like another remake/reimagining than a direct sequel to Craig Gillespie's 2011 do-over. The gorgeous star of hit BBC series 'Hustle' Jaime Murray -below ('Spartacus: Gods of the Arena') takes the lead vamp role in the remake/sequel(!?) and she is joined by Will Payne ('Elfie Hopkins'), Sean Power, Chris Waller and Sacha Parkinson....
