Mysterion Rises: An improvement over Coon 2 Hindsight and a great episode!
gangstahippie4 November 2010
Warning: Spoilers
Continuing from last week's episode, a team of superheroes called Coon & friends(despite the coon not being with them anymore) tries to sell lemon bars to stop Chulutu.Meanwhile, Cartman as the coon, travels to New Orleans and tries to befriend Chulutu to make him kill the coon & friends. The episode has many interesting aspects. We finally find out the true identity of mysterion and mosquito. We also find out the truth behind how Kenny comes back to life after dying all the time. This episode is definitely an improvement over the previous one and has some excellent moments! Hopefully the conclusion will be just as good if not better!

Mysterion Rises

Warning: Spoilers
It's a tongue in cheeks episode which makes light of several different topics: it eases on on the Captain Oversight part, references only once the "I'm sorry" CEO who keeps destroying the world and focuses more on Mysterion development act.

High point for me were when they show a drawn excerpt of Cartman the hero (visually and described as with his voice) just after he brutally attacked and clawed a little girl. Another one was Kenny's parents, their interaction with Mysterion and how they went to a dark evil group meeting simply regularly just for the free beers (which does ring true).

All in all a fun episode which keeps the story advancing.

A very underrated South Park episode

I was reading the reviews of this episode here and i saw people rating it with one star, i mean, what?, this is a great episode that references the comic books, it's very funny, and creates a great development to Kenny, the whole episode is based on a comic books structure, showing us villains and heroes, this episode is really different and this is a good thing. i love it.

Really bad!
cuban_ze9 November 2010
Warning: Spoilers
I don't know what was with Trey and Matt when they where coming up with this one. I really felt ashamed whenever some scene with Cartman was on. Literally ashamed. In one particular, when he is sitting on the belly of Cthulhu, I couldn't wait it to end!!! I love South Park and the previous episodes where awesome, but this one did not touched the bottom, but rather drilled into it, like the BP in the previous episode. I can't wait till all this Coon business is over. Sorry you guys but I really didn't like this episode and I had to say something since it apparently didn't bother anyone having in mind the rating for this episode. That might just mean I am crazy but I really did not enjoy this one.

Bad

Another bad episode from South Park. As I come to the end of this season it came to me that this season is the one that I took the longest to watch. It took me over 5 months . Basically that means the quality was going from rather good ( first episodes ) to really bad to the end, meaning that I took the box with rather disgust to force myself to take on another episode, just to finish it.Boring stuff is transferred to our eyes. Keeping awake is a challenge.I do find myself not bothered at all with what is going' on and I'm thinking' that either the creators of this meaningless crap are somewhere lying on a beach and squeezing their minds to find some inspiration or either have giving this one to an 8 year old kid to write. Wish I had never seen this episode cause it s*ks big time.
