Zombies in Call of Duty games were introduced alongside World at War in 2009 and have since ruled players’ hearts. Black Ops Gulf War is likely to continue its legacy despite speculations of Treyarch calling it a day for zombies. Treyarch has a central role to play in this, as it was the company that developed the game mode in the first place.
The next installment in the franchise has been under development since Cold War, making it the CoD game with the longest development cycle. Though the title is likely to be called Gulf War, no official announcement has been made by Activision at this point.

Stephen King's 1977 short story "Children of the Corn" has been adapted to film an embarrassing number of times. The first adaptation was a 1983 short called "Disciples of the Crow," and it was off to the races. The first feature in the franchise, directed by Fritz Kiersch, hit in 1984 and starred Linda Hamilton and Peter Horton as an innocent city couple who make the mistake of driving through Gatlin, Nebraska, a town that's been taken over by its under-16 population. The kids, following the directions of an off-screen demonic entity they call He Who Walks Behind the Rows, have murdered all the adults and set up their own blood cult. The protagonists run afoul of the kiddie cult and barely escape with their lives intact.
"Children of the Corn" was followed by eight sequels, released from 1993 through 2018. Few of them are good, although the monster design for "Children of the Corn III: Urban Harvest...

The Dracula 2000 episode of Wtf Happened to This Horror Movie? was Written by Emilie Black, Narrated by Adam Walton, Edited by Victoria Verduzco, Produced by Andrew Hatfield and John Fallon, and Executive Produced by Berge Garabedian.
Horror in the year 2000 was something. Yeah, that’s it, it was something. A lot of it happened, some of it was great, some of it was good, and some of it, not so much. Actually, if the internet crowd is to be believed, the early 2000s, especially the year 2000 were abysmal for horror. We did get a few memorable films released in 2000 like the first Final Destination film, Cherry Falls, Ginger Snaps, The Cell, and American Psycho. However, the scales had some serious bad on the other side to balance it all out. Films like Book of Shadows: Blair Witch 2, Hellraiser: Inferno, Christina’s House, and Dracula 2000 (watch it Here) came and...

Writer/director Kurt Wimmer’s recently released take on the Stephen King short story Children of the Corn is described as being a remake, but it’s different enough from the source material and the two previous adaptations – released in 1984 and 2009 – that you could really just call it “another Children of the Corn movie”. But whatever you call it, it went over pretty well with us here at JoBlo / Arrow in the Head. You can read Tyler Nichols’ 8/10 review at This Link, watch his interview with Wimmer and stars Elena Kampouris and Kate Moyer Here, and watch him discuss the film with fellow fan Mike Conway over Here. So we’re glad to share the news that the new Children of the Corn will be receiving a VOD, DVD, and Blu-ray release soon. The VOD release date is the closest; as of March 21st you’ll be able to watch the movie Here.

In the world of motion picture filmmaking there's only one thing we know for sure: Children + Corn = Profit. But there's a trick to it. You can't use just any old corn. It's gotta be murder corn. That's how Stephen King envisioned this, and we gotta stay true to his original vision.
Everything else about Stephen King's original vision for "Children of the Corn," however, has long since been chucked — excuse me, "shucked" — out the window. What started as a 1977 short story in the pages of "Penthouse," about a bickering couple who wanders into a small farming town where the children were all cultists who believe in killing all adults, became a hit movie in 1984, and eventually devolved into an impossibly long-running straight-to-video franchise. 11 films and counting! (12 if you include the 1983 short film "Disciples of the Crow!")
You don't keep making that many movies if you aren't making money, and you...

Nearly three years have gone by since we first heard that Equilibrium writer/director Kurt Wimmer was at the helm of a new adaptation of the Stephen King short story Children of the Corn – and the project (which was filmed in Australia) was one of the few productions that didn’t have to shut down during the first wave of pandemic lockdowns back in early 2020. In October of 2020, the movie was given a theatrical release… in just two theatres in Sarasota, Florida. But now we finally know when those of us who didn’t see the movie in Sarasota are going to have the chance to watch it. Wimmer’s Children of the Corn has been acquired by Shudder and Rlje Films and will be getting an 18 day theatrical release beginning on March 3rd. A digital and VOD release will follow on March 21st.

Billy Drago, who often played harming but chilling gangster roles and appeared in Brian De Palma’s “The Untouchables” and Clint Eastwood’s “Pale Rider,” died Monday in Los Angeles of complications from a stroke. He was 73.
The character actor played Al Capone’s henchman Frank Nitti in 1987’s “The Untouchables.”
On TV series “Charmed,” he put his reptilian stare to good use as the demon Barbas in several episodes over five seasons.
Born William Eugene Burrows in Hugoton, Kan., his actor-director father was said to be of Native American origin. His mother’s family was of Romany extraction; he took their name Drago as his stage name. Starting out as a stuntman, he moved to New York and beginning his acting career.
Drago started acting in the late 1970s, appearing in films including “Cutter’s Way,” “No Other Love” and “Windwalker.” On television, he had guest roles in “Hill Street Blues,...

There's another Children of the Corn movie coming out! Children of the Corn: Runaway is the tenth installment of the long-running horror franchise. It all started with the adaptation of Stephen King's novel that was released way back in 1984.
Apparently, there's a decent sized audience that enjoys watching an evil cult full of kids killing adults. This one features an adorable little blonde girl smashing something with a hammer. I remember watching that first film for the first time. I was a kid and snuck out to watch it with some friends. It kinda jacked me up, but I also enjoyed the thrill of watching it. Unfortunately, none of the sequels were as good or as interesting as the first movie. I've watched them though, and I'll end up eventually watching this one as well.

Children of the Corn: Runaway is the tenth horror film in this franchise, unbelievably. Children of the Corn: Genesis (2011) was the previous intonation of Stephen King's short story. Writer Joel Soisson has written both films. This time, John Gulager (Piranha 3Dd) takes the helm. Marci Miller (Most Likely to Die, 2015) stars, along with: Blaine Maye (Unnatural) and Lynn Andrews III. The film's first trailer is hosted here along with the film's DVD cover. This time, a young woman escapes a child cult, in a Midwestern town. She spends the next ten years in hiding. But, something is following her. Forced to protect her child, Ruth (Miller) must face this cult, before it kills her only child. Children of the Corn: Runaway is a multi-company production. Dimension Films has organized this title as they did with Genesis. They have also teamed up with Gatlin Returns and Strike Accord, to finish the film's production.

There is only one way to "enjoy" Piranha 3Dd and that is drunk and with as many friends as possible, most of you hardly paying attention to what is going on in the film. I haven't seen director John Gulager's Project Greenlight venture Feast, which spawned a pair of sequels after becoming a buzzed about horror film back in 2005, but if this film is any indication of its quality I hope I never do. This is, without a doubt, one of the worst movies I have seen in the last several years. For screenwriters Patrick Melton, Marcus Dunstan and Joel Soisson to leave their names attached as "writers" is an insult to the word. Prior to Piranha 3Dd, Melton and Dunstan were responsible for writing several of the Saw sequels and Soisson can lay claim to the likes of Mimic 2, The Prophecy: Forsaken and Children of the Corn: Genesis among others.

Cassadaga, Florida is the psychic capital of America, known for having a large number of mediums and psychics. It’s the place of solace for a deaf girl named Lily (Kelen Coleman), who retreats and starts her life over after the death of her sister. She goes to school at the local university and takes residence in the sprawling home under the care of Claire (Louise Fletcher) and her masturbatory son. She seeks answers to her sister’s untimely demise in the form of a séance, but instead is connected with the vengeful ghost of a murdered woman named Jennifer Eastman (Amy LoCicero), who through maggots and jarring flashbacks, gives Lily clues to help unravel her murder at the hands of a sadistic serial killer named Geppetto, who killed her four years ago.

Synopsis:
A young couple tries to free an imprisoned child with catastrophic results.
Review:
I’m really not much of a “Children of the Corn” fan. I did really like the first film, but the sequels were pretty forgettable. In fact, I have only watched maybe the first two, after that I just gave up. I didn’t even realize that “Children of the Corn: Genesis” was the 8th film in the seemingly never ending killer kid series. I think we all know that Dimension hasn’t really given these (or the “Hellraiser”) films much care when preparing sequels.… More...

When it comes to the Children Of The Corn series you can only go so far or else you risk getting lost in the franchise so to speak; Teenagers take over a town and kill. But the latest installment, Children Of The Corn: Genesis is supposed to be the beginning. So what does that mean? Does this movie tell us how it all started? Or is it just gonna be another Children Of The Corn Movie that has nothing but confusion? The film received mixed reviews,…...

As you can tell just by watching it, “Children of the Corn: Genesis” was obviously written as a different film, and then adapted for the series to cash in on the franchise. Most of the time this spells trouble, and it still does at some level here, but what I wasn’t prepared for was to actually enjoy the movie. The story follows a young married couple stranded in the California desert. A quick walk in an attempt to locate a telephone brings them across a strange pastor, and his Russian wife. This seem to be a bit odd right off of the bat, but the couple has no choice but to stay overnight until a ride into town arrives the next day. Soon it becomes apparent that an unseen force doesn’t want the couple to leave.
As mentioned above, my main problem with this movie is that it...

Children of the Corn: Genesis is the latest sequel in a long line of films based on Stephen King's short story "Children of the Corn." This is the ninth or tenth film in a series that just will not quit. Now, Dimension Extreme is forced to make this latest film in order to retain rights on future productions of this franchise. Apparently, a film must be made once every ten years to retain the rights. So, here is a very low budget horror film starring Bill Drago and Barbara Nedeljakova of Hostel II fame. The mythos of a town overrun by murdering children is toned down in this film. Instead, Children of the Corn: Genesis sticks to a small cast, one set and a child with telekinetic powers to keep the film simple.

Sorry this is so late this week gang!
The Perfect Host - stars David Hype Pierce as a crazy mofo, so that's your sales pitch right there. It's too bad the trailer and marketing for the film really gave that away because I think it's the turn that probably got the film made. Anyway, one to watch out for.
Wrecked - stars Adrian Brody as a guy who wakes up in a wrecked car in the woods with no memory. Good set-up and Brody is great (as usual), but the film fell a little flat for me. I like that it went for realism, the second act was meandering and felt like there was something lacking. Like we're just killing time for the reveal at the end. But like I said, decent thriller with a great performance by Brody.

I read somewhere that Dimension Extreme (aka The Weinstein Company) were contractually obligated to pump out this and the last Hellraiser sequel in order to hold onto the property rights a little longer. Bad journalism I know, but it makes sense in a way considering there's a larger budget Hellraiser reboot in development hell at the moment and Stephen King's "Children of the Corn" has become a franchise all its own.
So anyway, the official trailer for the Children of the Corn: Genesis has dropped and it's full of telekinetic kids doing horrible things to good people.

Dimension Extreme is poised to strike at pocketbooks everywhere August 30th with Children of the Corn: Genesis. Unbelievably, there are over 15 hours of film dedicated to Stephen King's short story "Children of the Corn," which can be read in under a half hour. This tenth film in the "Children of the Corn" is working off of some skimpy material and the film shows Hollywood's addiction to remakes and sequels. There is already another remake of the original Children of the Corn in development, outside of the 2009 SyFy redo. Try another story Dimension Extreme and try for something outside the comfort zone.
The official trailer for Children of the Corn: Genesis is below. In the clip, Billy Drago plays the Preacher, a man trying to keep one town's secrets hidden. Murderous children and Pagan worshipers have sacrificed the local townsfolk and now they are looking for new blood. Have a look at the clip below.
