Upsetting!

Not how you expect CSI agents to act! They had the son guilty before any investigation because the barely conscious mother moved her fingers! Come on Mac--not your best conclusion! They were rude to everyone, arresting the son & his girlfriend in front of everyone before any motive or proof! So much for innocent until proven guilty!

Not Always What It First Seems

Did the son kill his father (and almost his mother, at the same time)? Was he the one who bludgeoned these people in their bed? From the hospital, the mother indicates to "Mac Taylor" that he did, and the kid acts like a punk in the opening scene, so Mac and the team try to prove it.

Unfortunately, as things unwind, there is more and more doubt that the obvious suspect is guilty. If not, who is?

It turns out to be a decent episode but nothing that memorable, to be honest. As in most CSI stories, you can't judge what you first see or hear.

Jumping to conclusions

I'm seldom disappointed with any of the CSI shows, but this was not one of their better episodes. I have to admit that New York is my least favorite, however they normally follow the evidence instead of emotions. The one they usually do express, which is not shown here, is compassion.

I'm also not impressed with Jo so far. She is a new character, so hopefully that will change as viewers get to know her better. I will keep an open opinion and give her a chance to settle into the role.

I love all of the CSI series, especially the one set in Miami. This particular episode was not up to their usual high standards.
