I was expecting to view a programme following psychic Mrs. Mary Occhino, doing in depth readings that would impact her customers lives; e.g. helping to find a lost person,etc..

Instead we were treated to a mind numbing, boring show with Mary"O", as she calls herself, ( the public can pronounce Occhino), and her boring family.

This show does not explore the paranormal psychic world; but focuses primarily on Mary's family trying to break into showbiz with their lack of talent.

It is a big who cares!!!

While I am not familiar with her radio talk show, what little we see of Mary O's abilities is really unimpressive. I am certain she is very talented and a warm caring person, however her talents should be showcased.

Leave out the chaos that is her family and friends, as it does not make for good TV.

It does not fit in with the SyFy channel's programming.

I will not waste my time watching this programme.

Honestly I don't know why I watch this

I love the SyFy channel regardless of what they call themselves. I don't care highly for the movies they make with their cheesy effects. But I do love a lot of the original shows. Warehouse 13 and Eureka being on top this year. Fact or Faked also has my attention.

To me a show like this makes as much sense as wrestling on SyFy. Its just an odd cousin that doesn't really fit in.

Mary knows best can be best summed up by a woman with psychic powers who has a dysfunctional family and decided to put it on TV. Honestly I never heard of Mary O before this show came about.

The best way (in my opinion) to sum up the show is as follows. I am a psychic and I have raised my three children alone. One child (as of the 3rd episode) is somewhat normal. I have one child who is obsessive compulsive with telling others how to live their lives and a chubby daughter with an average singing voice who things she is Mariah with a supermodel body.

Hilarity of ridiculous situations and delusions of grandeur is the theme.

The more I watch this show the more I feel nothing more then pity for Mary's grandchildren for having their nutty parents.

I personally don't care for drama. Nor do I think it has a place on the SyFy channel.

But that's just my two cents.

Great Show

Its about a life of a psychic, and also the entwined family drama/comedy. I think as the series develops you will see more of her gifts and less of the dsyfunctionally intense son. Hopefully the daughter will lose some weight, unless of course she is aiming to be a model for Lane Bryant. Thankfully also that there is one normal kid, even if his wife seems to be in need of a good trainer. *lol* They could share one, the daughter and the daughter in law. I too had never heard of Mary, I am not a subscriber to Sirius, but I am fascinated by the idea of actual psychics, and I will continue to watch this show. I like that is on with Fact or Faked. Makes a good evening to watch this great T.V. channel. Warehouse 13 and these two are the best new shows Syfy has put on this past couple of years!

I hope to see more of Mary and less of the noisy kids. (especially that wannabe motivator who only motivates me to want to barf)
