A deleted scene was shot in a supermarket featuring Hannelore Gomes, Mando Alvarado, and Mark G. Phillips. Williams plays a customer who bumps into Jane and Louie demands for the customer to apologize to Jane. Alvarado plays the store manager and Phillips plays a security guard. The scene was filmed in a real supermarket. The supermarket refused to shut down temporarily so filming was constantly interrupted by real customers passing through. Alvarado later appeared in the episode "Dentist/Tarese."
Louie's wife is only seen by her hands, and she appears to be a white woman. Later on she will be portrayed by a black woman.
