One of my favorites!!

Hi bones booth!

One of my favorite episodes!!! I like to suspend some reality for tv land to enjoy unrealistic episodes and in bones this is one of them that I easily do that for. Being from MN I love a good Wintery episode lol. Plus I think black outs / loss of power are always fun tropey episodes with tons of character development (hart of Dixie&Friends had good ones!)

I love the importance of the seats to booth. Love them being stuck in the elevator. Love sweets trying to help them! I love the way bones dismisses sweets politely when booth is upset. I love that the show is trying to make b &b address their relationship and how they kiiiiind of talk about things instead of dancing around it completely. They are navigating new waters for sure. But it's undeniable that they want to spend time together!

Sucks we get mini PTSD thinking about the thought of a contagious person wondering around starting a pandemic.. always such a weird thing to watch in tv land thinking how that USED to seem so unrealistic...... and now look at us lol.

Of course I love all the scenes in the lab - this almost feels like a bottle episode for a little bit. Love hodgins and Wendell together. Sad and hopefully for the hodgins family and baby... love him and Angela supporting each other.

Also love Cams haircut! All the women in this episode look so beautiful!

Forgot their was a case this episode I'm sure it was great LOL.

It's Spud-tastic

Warning: Spoilers
Say what you want, but this is a great episode. This is one of the episodes that I will go back in re-watch when I am in the mood to watch a Bones episode.

I know that some people on here think that this episode is unrealistic, but I think they need to leave all the judgment behind and accept that this episode is more about furthering characters and storylines that it is about the realistic nature of the Jeffersonian losing power in a blizzard. I really enjoyed watching the team try and figure out interesting solutions to get around not having electricity.

One of the really important storylines from this episode was Hodgins and Angela learning that there is a 25% chance that their child will be blind. The acting by TJ Thyne when he is talking to Wendall after getting the news that he is a carrier is incredible. It always brings me to tears. I love this storyline because it gives us a glimpse into how great of parents Angela and Hodgins will be. At the end they are discussing how they will learn piano and sculpture so they can teach their kid, and it is just such a sweet moment.

We also get a lot of character growth from Bones and Booth, who are stuck in an elevator. First of all, we get some more back story from Booth, who wants to save these stadium seats because it's one of the only good memories he has with his father. We also get some important conversations happening between Bones and Booth about their relationship. I love how compatible Bones and Booth are in this episode.

Overall, this episode is great!

Best Part: all the puns Hodgins was saying during the potato scene

Worst Part: that this episode is only 42 minutes long.

It's snow joke.

Warning: Spoilers
Hi, Bones Booth podcast.

English Jan here.

I have to say this Bones story is one of my favourite episodes of Bones.

I love the premise of them being stuck in an elevator, with nowhere to go and only each other and occasionally Dr Sweets for company. Before too long, the conversation started by Sweets turns to their relationship. Despite Booth saying that it wouldn't work out, there is the delightful note of boyish optimism that shines through his words. Also, how he looks at Bones as he says it shows clearly that he is hoping for so much more. Even Bones must understand his true meaning.

I love the directing done by David Boreanaz. The scene shots are magical. Significantly, the claustrophobic lift scenes get the real sense of tight space, with the stadium seats taking up more than their fair share of room. Some are shot from outside the lift, and others are shot from inside the lift when we are supposed to feel closer to Bones and Booth.

The touching scene at the end between Booth and Bones when Booth suggests they write a date down and then burn it- simply priceless that Bones, although negative about it, plays along to help Booth. Magical.

The Beauty Within
Hitchcoc13 February 2023
Where to start. A blizzard has hit the DC area and Booth, Brennan, and Sweets are caught in it. Some old seats from Veteran's stadium are being thrown away and Booth decides to rescue them and bring them to his apartment. In the process, there is a power outage, and two are caught in a freight elevator with the seats. At the lab a woman's body is being investigated, but they have no electricity. This is one really bad mistake considering the valuable items in the Jeffersonian and the implications of thawing. In addition to the work they do improvising, there is troubling news for Angela and Hodgins. But the highlight of the entire thing is the discussion that Booth and Brennan have about their relationship. They are so cute at the end. She is so analytical but he is willing to accept that now. Great final scene when they burn a couple of wishes they make.

Worth it!..for the revealed B&B connection
rebekahmg30 April 2022
This is a TV show people; and created more for entertainment value than serious science. The writers took poetic license with a lot of data and gave us a very fun, satisfying, and entertaining product for 12 seasons. Turning a blind eye to some factoids, due to B&B, this is one of my favorite episodes.

The one where B&B are stuck in an elevator
kaylz-484004 August 2023
Hi Bones Booth pod!

Boy do I love this episode! It's one I go back and watch over and over because I just love all the B&B scenes and how their relationship is addressed following the exit of she who shall not be named!

It's crazy now to watch this episode with the whole "killer deadly virus outbreak" and how pre 2020 that seemed slightly unrealistic?

Anyway, moving on.

The actual case is sad, a woman trying to help people who are being human trafficked, is killed. Unfortunately though, that's overshadowed in this episode more for the character and relationship development of B&B.

Being stuck in an elevator is not a good time for them, especially with Sweets trying to get them to talk about what Hannah's exit means for them, but in the end they both acknowledge that they need to talk about it.

The end scene is of course my favourite. Both B&B realise that whilst they both have acknowledged how they feel about each other, and may want to give things a go, timing is everything. Despite the fact we all want them to be together, I think them jumping into bed the moment Hannah left, wouldn't have been the right move. Probably an unpopular opinion.

Any way, I love the concept of the final scene and I can't wait to hear what the boys think!

Overall - 10/10!

Worst part - the PTSD from covid

Best part - that end scene.

Cruelly bad
oovag4 February 2021
There are terribly bad and awkward episodes before this one. But this is the most terrible at all. An elite museum without an emergency power supply, it couldn't be more stupid.

this is perhaps the worst episode
stasusleak19 November 2021
I agree that, in the entirety of this series, this is perhaps the single worst episode... if we were rating it on the implausibility scale, it would rate a 10. As a tv show episode, it rates a 1.
