On 6 September 2006, in Season 2, Episode 16 of "Criss Angel Mindfreak", Criss made a military Hummer appear. The "elephant appearing out of the blue surrounded by spectators" secret revealed here essentially reveals how Criss did it, and boy, are we not happy to learn the secret. But more on that later.
With the exception of the elephant, all other big secrets here involve female assistants. What was the criteria when the Masked Magician chose these secrets to be revealed? Well, with the exception of "sliced & diced & spun", the others have been done *to death*. Most people who've been to a magic show or a circus have seen women disappearing from a chair (on a table), levitating in the center of the room/stage and materializing. Enough already! Thank you, Masked Magician, for putting these tricks into the dustbin!
Now, the elephant. Criss did a reverse of it on 14 June 2006, in Season 2, Episode 11 when he made an elephant disappear. It's pretty obvious from the Masked Magician's reveal that Criss did it the same way he made the Hummer appear: he cheated. Doing a trick that can *only* be done on TV *and* with fake spectators is an insult towards the viewers enough, but doing it again, only in reverse, should be considered a capital offense. No wonder the Masked Magician concentrates so heavily on Criss's "illusions" in this series - Criss betrayed the audience's trust numerously by treating them as idiots and the Masked Magician's revenge is just. No wonder that Criss then started even risking his life for real is desperate attempts to regain our trust with tricks that were *definitely* not achieved with camera trickery and/or false spectators. But trust, once lost, is hard to regain. Try as hard as he might, Criss will never earn it all back. The Masked Magician forced Criss - and probably some others too - to clean up their act and actually come up with ingenious tricks instead of cheats, and for that, he is to be commended, not condemned, like some jealous and lazy "magicians" see it.
