Not worth the 10/10 people are giving it.

Its a good episode. Is it great? No. Is it worth the 10 star reviews? Definitely not. Its great to see Addison back, she always was one of the best characters, but she alone does not make this episode great.

I dont really understand the Minniesota storyline. Meredith is a general surgeon but she is in demand for a role to research a neurological disease just because of her mothers name. Nonsense. Meredith has shown zero interest in the brain since she tampered with the alzheimers trial when she was a resident. There would be hundreds of much more qualified doctors than her. And now its Link's (an orthopedic surgeons) dream to cure the same neurological disease. Huh?

Seeing Addison again and knowing that shes still kicking ass was great and the scene of her with the kids was sweet.

There was no real new story in the whole episode. The HVAC issues was just a rehash of the previous electricity and generators going down storylines. And it seems Winston is taking over from Maggie in the whiney mouthpiece role. The system is racist, we know and agree that it needs changed but where earlier Greys episodes would show the issue, these new ones simply lecture us. Its not good.

And the real reason this episode is nowhere near a 10/10? Teddy is Ambassador of fun. Wear silly hats and eat snow cones in the morgue after she and Link, who is quickly becoming the most unlikeable character, hit some stuff with hammers.

Teddy was a fantastic character when she first on the show, but they have ruined her since she came back and this was a new low.

Better, but 10 stars? Get real.

I do love the current roster of interns.

And Addison, of course, is classic. In fact, revive the whole cast of Private Practice. They could really add some life to this otherwise stale bunch of actors.

Nostalgic Feels

Grey's Anatomy has been more than a little disappointing for a few seasons now. But I got the feels on this episode. Addison and Ben really pulled it together.

Addison is back at gsm! I love her is an understatement. Addie-Amy reunion. That last scene with Meredith's kids was just wholesome. Best episode of the entire season so far. Actually feels like the old grey's.

Finally a great episode like the old Grey's Anatomy I missed it so much.

The surgeries, the scene in the elevator, Addison is back in the family and everything seems so good.

Trying CPR...

... By pulling in all the old ones. Trying to revive what was a great show, by having the current ones reliving it, like they have seen it as a show. Not. Working. Having Addison entering like some God, is just putting the old show to a piedestal - I'm guessing because they know it's just not that good now.

Best episode of the last at least 7 seasons. Everything is back to normal as it was in the old days. Just keep it up, bring back more people and do not lose the fire!

Best part is Addison meeting the kids and trying not to cry. I am actually crying that was so sweet. Literally don't know why but that might be my favorite scene ever.

Addison is back, that's all you need to know.

I was really looking forward to seeing her back on the show. But even her return couldn't salvage such a pathetic script. The new interns are annoying beyond words, so is the new staff. And some old characters. Who got too much SJW injections in their veins. Like another reviewer said, it became a parody of what the show once was. With the same old « powerful words », nobody would endure more than two minutes, in real life. Blah...

Fantastic

Warning: Spoilers
The level of whining I've seen in reviewers over the last two years of this show is now officially out of control.

In Season 16 it made PERFECT, LOGICAL sense to whine. The season was terrible and not at all at the level of quality we have to come expect in writing.

But the level of whining for season 17 and 18 is just out of control. The writing went back to normal after season 16 and we are once again getting well thought out storylines and character development.

You can tell at least half of Grey's Anatomy fans were the cult followers of the Grand Cheeto. They think having reality shoved in their face is annoying? Listening to them whine, enjoy being racist, and throw around "woke" like it's a dirty word is BEYOND annoying.

Season 17 WAS hard to watch. I was watching it at the end of 2022 and being reminded of how the pandemic was in the beginning gave me PTSD. But it was done beautifully and authentically. And during the pandemic a lot of bad things happened - and this show was brave enough to talk about it and put it in their storylines. It was brilliant.

If you want to avoid realistic and "controversial" storylines and TV - go watch Days of Our Lives with the rest of your aging population.

Shonda is fantastic and I commend her and the actors for everything they've done.

As for this particular episode - seeing Addison and her meeting Derek's kids was beautiful. This whole episode felt very much like GA back in the day - and it warmed my heart. I love that they are bringing back old characters.

It's been really hard watching so many great actors leave the show - but I'm ready for the new storylines.

Addison Returns!
ZegMaarJus25 September 2023
Warning: Spoilers
This Episode begins with Meredith, she is making lunch for her kids in the morning. Addison has returned to Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital for a uterus transplant. Addison performs Tovah her surgery. The air conditioning system had been shut down at the hospital. Meredith is assisting Addison during Tovah's surgery. Addison is crying, she is thinking about Derek. Amelia got reunited with Addison. Addison meets Zola and Bailey for the first time. Nice Episode of Grey's Anatomy Season 18, so great to see Addison back. I hope she will stay for a while. Meredith and Addison have a really nice connection because of their history with Derek!

Addison and Ben almost save it
lizzyispink16 October 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Would get 10 stars for Addison's return (and some scenes with the swoon-worthy Ben), hopefully she sticks around. It was great to see her reunited with Amelia, Mer and the kids. As always they have genuine chemistry and emotion.

But the B storyline with Winston's patient is beating a dead horse. The system is racist. What to do about it? Break the rules, risk careers and do naught to bring about system reform.

It will be interesting to see where the story goes with Amelia and Mer in Minnesota. Is there a love interest in the future for Amelia in the intriguing new doctor? But really, it's Link's "dream" to cure Parkinson's? An orthopedic surgeon with no background in neurology wants to cure a disease that continually baffles specialists with decades of study? Mmmk More Addison and Ben, less nonsense please!
