Squint and Its ROSIE PEREZ frolicking as a terrified wood nymph !
guestar579 December 2008
INTO THE WOODS www.geocities.com/pharmpon/INTOTHEWOODS

Nancy Feliciano, Tiffany Sinclair & Joel Wynkoop.

Phil Herman has quite a comeback in ITW, With his 'Go-To Scream Queen' Nancy Feliciano returning. Nancy has a Rosie Perez/Juliet Binoche look, And who doesn't like seeing them naked.Nancy goes thru dozens of costume changes, And owing to her fetish video rep has some long looks at her feet ? This is a scary DVD and has some real moments with Nancy being vulnerable and Tiffany Sinclair having the best lines ON A PHONE ! Really wanna know where the wilderness chase scenes were filmed, Has quite a look to Nancy In Peril. Phil Herman, Here's my only question…WHY are you nude as often as Nancy ???

bad sound and a confusing story
trashgang27 March 2012
It's funny to see a fight going on here with the reviews. I have seen thousands and thousands of flicks and a lot do concern independents. Some of them get a decent release but for some you do need to contact the director/producer or you have to go to specialised sites like indieflix for example. And do I have a lot coming from specialised sites or better, sometimes directors do send their stuff straight to me. By doing so I still look at their baby without prejudice. If it's bad than i wrote it if it's good it deserves a good review. Bad reviews aren't good for their support and I already had some arguments with directors due the review I wrote.

Brings me back to this flick. This is ultra low budget but it do has a few actors that have done already a lot of independent flicks. What we have here in fact is Falcon production, a bunch of friends that are trying to make flicks. But this isn't the first flick of Falcon and is sad to see that the sound was really bad. A lot of hiss on it and even sometimes it's not understandable. That is the reason of using microphones in the wind. The acting by some was really wooden especially phone calls weren't that good and there are a few in it. Tiffany Sinclair (Cindy) went a bit over the top with her acting. But I was rather surprised that Nancy Feliciano (Danielle) went nude a lot of times, she even goes a few times full frontal. Her acting was rather okay but it was the script that was a bit confusing for me. Suddenly she's drugged without clothes on and then she finds some clothes, in the next scene she's wearing other clothes but she's still in the woods. And there's almost no red stuff in it. I won't qualify it under horror, it's more a thriller kind of low budget. But due the bad sound this flick failed a bit. If it was their first attempt I would say okay I understand.

Still it's okay to watch but don't think you will get it all. As i said earlier, sometimes a bit weird to catch it all.

My review is now between the fight going on here. I looked at it as an outsider and must agree with Tromafreak. On the DVD there are trailers for two other flicks from Falcon...

Now that we've heard from a couple cast (or crew) members, perhaps you'd like an unbiased review
Tromafreak8 January 2011
Those two (Guestar57 and Shagee7977) did such a good job at making this garbage sound like something special. Even I thought I was in store for some worthwhile, quality bad Horror. Yep, burned again. But now, I'm back, and I've brought a little something with me called honesty. So, here goes... I hate this movie!!! That's OK. No need to thank me for saving you the money. It's my pleasure. In fact, I'll do ya one better and just let you know that reading on would be pointless. that is, unless you just really enjoy reading the negativity of someone who's seen way too many bad movies. Otherwise, just forget you ever heard of Into The Woods, and go find something more worthwhile like Killing Spree. So, once again, you're welcome, and don't forget to vote "yes", as this review has already been more useful than you could possibly imagine.

Alright, as for you gluttons-for-punishment. If you're in it for the cameo by the legendary Joel D. Wynkoop, forget it. This is not a cameo worth waiting for. So, that now leaves us with an incredibly dull, shot-on-video "thriller" about a woman who has been kidnapped, left, naked, out in the wilderness, and worst of all, whoever did this to her, has injected her with a memory-erasing drug. So, this chick don't know where she is, or even who she is. Only that she has apparently rubbed someone the wrong way, and now, she's paying for it. And whether or not there is in fact a way out, remains to be seen. This movie tries to be intriguing in an "Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind" kind of way, with all the flashbacks and whatnot, but it only manages to come off as confusing and dull. These endless flashbacks, which serve as clues which sorta explain what all this is about. It's often difficult to tell whether you're looking at a flashback or if the chick already made it home OK. I suppose there is a bit of an atmosphere going on at times. Sort of a haunting feeling of isolation, which is admirable, But that ain't enough to save this one. Almost reminds me of a Tim Ritter flick, with a lot less awsomeness, not to mention less Wynkoop. As far as shot-on-video, Z-grade Horror flicks are concerned, I've seen some that are technically ten times worse (Blood Lake, Splatter Farm), but few are quite as dull as this one. So, now, at least you realize that reading this has been a waste of time. Whether it be because you believe me when I say how awful this film is, or you just think I'm really bad at writing reviews, at least you realize it. As far as those other two "Horror fans" are concerned, no hard feelings. If I was in a B-Horror flick (or worked on one), I'm sure I would lie with a smile on my face, and claim that it's totally clever and fast-paced. But seriously. That homely chick looks nothing like Rosie Perez. 3/10

Into the woods

Indys are coming out strong. This one is no slacker to the genre. With its fast pace editing and tight storyline this lil gem delivers. A cast of whose who in the indy genre includes Joel Wynkoop, Phil Herman, Nancy Feliciano, Lilith Stabs, Tiffany Sinclair and top notch editing from Chris Kahler. Followed by a haunting soundtrack by Joe Sherlock this is a who's who of indy film. While not taking itself seriously it sure does captivate the audience. The audience I watched it with were so glued to the screen and whispering tid bits on storyline it was a relief at the end when all was cleverly concluded! This movie did not go by the usual color by number nonsense that these movies so often do but had the audience guessing and second guessing what was going on to the lead character. Bravo to clever direction, writing, editing and to the actors who pulled it off!
