Given the fatality rate during the early days of the Battle of Britain.

This is not a cast of characters you are going to get to know a lot. However what a shower. No wonder Clement Attlee got a landslide after the war.

From Squadron Leader Rex with his dirty dog to 'Moggy' Cattermole. The class system is at work and American flyer Chris Hart finds out first hand when he plays squash with his mechanic.

Nothing much is happening during the phoney war apart from gambling and picking on the proletariat. At least a couple of officers go down the French village and fraternise with the teachers, one of whom is from England.

Again there are some nice flying sequences. Hart is in danger as his wooden propeller is easily damaged. However it is another episode where nothing much happens apart from the crew being nasty to each other.
