The Goat Story is certainly a weird one. The animation just looks weird and the voice acting is sub-par. The film is marketed towards kids but features outrageous cleavage and a hanging scene. Not sure if I'm more proud or ashamed having made it through this movie.

This is the question I asked multiple times when watch Goat Story. Why is there visible nudity? Why do the buildings look like they are melting? Why is there weird vertigo shots in specific scenes? Why is there a woman with massive proportions? Why is there a suto-sexual relationship between a man and his goat? Than halfway through I realized I was experiencing the first movie to teach me the definition of insanity. So props for that movie for showing me the meaning of the word.

This movie is not made for children. Many of the visuals are horrifying, and several of the characters are nude or partake in non-family friendly activities. The ending where Goat is hung may be frightening also. Best part? Fishy fishy making, it stinky.

It is an awful movie to watch, its feels so uncomfortable and its impossible to even imagine watching this with the Kids.
Its not an animation for the Kids and it has lots of deviated ideas like a goat's love for its owner moreover goat wants to marry him. Cutting sbs eyes is violent its so irresponsible to put the title"child animation"or "animation for children". It should be banned from everywhere.

I love this movie and it is very realistic. The story is soo deep, containing no pants, skeleton skillfully playing the organ, boob nails and fishy fishy fish makin it stinky. Jimothy is my favorite character.

This movie obviously isn't a 10, not even in the same sense as "The Room" might be considered a 10. It is a low budget animated film with a purposefully grotesque art style. Much of its ugliness is cleverly used to paint a grim picture of medieval Prague, criticizing its inequality and poverty and picking specially at the clergy and the nobles. I argue that it isn't a 1 or a 3 either.
The story is well crafted and intriguing. It isn't overly predictable and has an original and engaging dynamic between the main duo, the Goat and Jemmy. It visibly has roots in Czech history and folklore, which gives it a distinctive identity, as opposed to movies based on classic fairytales and well known medieval stories.
It isn't a movie for children at all, but it isn't nearly as "adult" as some stills may suggest. This may be a flaw, since it is too innocent for adult viewers but entirely innapropriate for children.
Overall, it's a fun watch! It isn't overly bizarre, it's decently written and it has personality, distinguishing itself from most well known animated films.

Goat Story is a perfect example of a "so bad it's good" movie. This movie has no right to be as enjoyable as it is, especially with how many flaws it has. And there are a LOT of flaws which I will elaborate on in a bit.
I'll start off with the basic premise and a short description of the movie. The main character Jemmy moves to Prague (Prague is actually a real city in the Czech Republic) with his best friend Goat who is, surprise surprise, a goat. Jemmy meets a woman in Prague named Katy whom he develops feelings for immediately. Goat is jealous that Jemmy catches feelings for Katy and not her (weird I know). Prague is also getting a giant clock built by a character named Clockmaster Hamish. A poor student named Mathew becomes Hamish's apprentice. However Mathew is picked on and tormented by almost everyone in the town. The plans to the clock get ruined and the town freaks out.
Major spoilers ahead for the next part.
Now I will go more in detail of the plot and the chaotic nonsense it contains. Mathew is at a bar and some mean rich guys scribble on the clock plan that Hamish gave Mathew. This all happens while Mathew tries to impress them and buy them drinks. Mathew then gets humiliated in front of town as he is chained to one of those wooden boards that have a hole for the head and arms in the town square. Someone smacks Mathew with a fish and says "ol' fish in the mouth." Mathew afterwards makes a deal with the devil because he is fed up with everyone. I don't really understand what the deal was but afterwards Mathew gets a cool fit from the devil.
Some very offensively portrayed Chinese men ask for a clock from Hamish, Hamish shows them the clock but refuses to build them one. Mathew was spying on Hamish, and feeling betrayed, he lets the Mayor know that Hamidh showed the clock plans to others. Hamish is punished by having his eyes cut out. Hamish asks Katy to show him the clock one more time, while there Hamish takes out a part and screws the clock up. Hamish dies shortly after. Since Katy was there when it happened they think Katy did it, they then sentence Katy to a hanging. But actually they didn't hang Katy, they hung goat dressed up as Katy. Katy and Jemmy find goat hanged but goat didn't die because she stuck a pipe in her throat (I don't understand either). And that is the end.
Now I will go on about the major flaws this movie suffers from. First off, the plot is confusing to follow and makes no sense. The movie jumps from scene to scene without making any sense and it is just a jumbled mess and it's hard to follow along. The movie suffers from being way too detailed with the textures and extremely taxing to look at. It looks like I can see every pore on Jemmy's face. The way characters act is very strange, it doesn't make sense. And the movie is very chaotic. Every scene is messy and has too much going on. There are inconsistencies in the logic and plot. But despite all these flaws, the movie still is enjoyable.
The whole movie feels like a fever dream and the plot feels like it was written when all the writers were high. It is strange and absurd and I love it. I recommend watching the movie even just to see the weirdness.

Ok first of all, kids shouldn't watch it. This movie is hilarious! It has a talking goat, a girl with a Home Depot in her boobs, artistry, fishy-fishy fish, and it includes the devil as a character. It talks about adult themes such as love, jealousy, drug use, violence, class struggle. Good shit!

From the extremely questionable graphics to the nail-biting graphics, this movie had me on the verge of vomiting for the entire hour and twenty minutes. Watching an animated man get motorboated continuously is not even the top 3 worst things about this piece of cinema. I laughed, I gasped, I cried, and you will too.

Absolute legend of a movie. I loved everything about this movie so much that my cousin went through anaphylactic shock and i didn't even realize it until the end. At hus funeral we had a katy themed cake, because we all know she has the most volume out of everyone. Also i got arrested for it because it's illegal to have a movie as great as goat story. I want katy merch. Would wear it to work every day.

I didn't think perfection existed before seeing this film. Watching this has truly made me see the world in a different light and cured my depression. Seeing a woman like Katy has made me optimistic about life and that the perfect parter really is out there. All I need in life is a wifey with home depot boobies. Left me yearning for more.

Twists. Turns. Lessons were learned. There is a goat. Spoiler alert there is a clock and some men. The goat is good and this movie is definitely very goat heavy. A must watch for the whole family and other people that are around that may or may not be related but are around a bunch or perhaps if there is a guy that you always refer to as uncle Greg but he is not actually your uncle he just went to Jr. college with your step dad and was always around when you were growing up. A must watch for uncle Greg. Goatabunga. Ten stars.

Never before have i seen a woman with more marvelous curves, than in this movie.
With the hips of a true birthing woman (she could have triplets all at once), Kate waddled her way into my heart and will not leave. She has taken the nails out of the coffin of my brain, and now permanently resides there.
I laughed harder then before, and i sobbed my heart out at the end.

This movie was a emothional roller coater. I laughed i cried, i watched the best movie ever. 10/10 shreck cant compet. The love story of a goat, girl, and guy was so creative and original, and all the characters designs where jsut stumminf, The goat was so much better than home depot girl. Best movie in the last 50 years. I highley recomened for any movie lovers out their. The ending was so sad :(((( i cant belive she almosted died, the dude guy looked like dream face reveal and the girl was the modern body standands andi really kinned the goat the intire movie, just the fact that no one would ever loved herbecaused she was a goat and theirs other girls that just look bettter.

I was just about to kill myself in 2012, when I found this graceful movie! It has cheered me up a lot and saved me, thank you. This movie is entertaining and fun to watch, it is definitely for kids! My family watched it together and everyone was so invested in it. My kids absolutely loved it, and found the movie very helpful for situations in the future! Whoever is saying it's inappropriate or things like that, shame on you. This movie is NOT inappropriate at all, they are just all having a joke acting like they have even watched the movie. Don't listen to them, they are just lying and goofing around. I am amazed in this movie, it is for sure my favourite. It is for all ages and should stay like that, i definitely see myself recommending this to my friends. It has helped me get out of my depression state and into my motivation state. This is absolutely great, trust me. I promise you, it is the best movie possible. You will never regret watching this, it makes me inspired and I have watched it a LOT of times. Please watch this divine movie!

The pain is so bad i am in constant pain there is never an end i can no longer bear it but i must. It hurts it hurts it hurts. So much pain, never joy, never happy, the devil himself has smooched my soul leaving it doomed to eternal suffering. My mental state is constant anguish i can never seem to feel myself again. I feel as though my soul rests in a bed of needles. My mind has been charred from the life time of pain and suffering. The devil himself could not bare what i have gone through. It hurts it hurts it hurts. Good movie 10/10!
