Bones: Mummy in the Maze
Scarecrow-886 September 2010
Warning: Spoilers
It's nearing Halloween and mummified corpses are turning up(the first found in a maze), both the age of 14 years old, and it's up to FBI Special Agent Booth(David Boreanaz)and forensic anthropologist Brennan(Emily Deschanel)to discover who was behind their deaths. Lacquer and cedar oil are substances found on two bodies which might help nab the killer. A funhouse called Dungeon of 1000 Corpses, could be a location where both bodies were placed at one point(the first corpse is connected to the funhouse scare ride) . Discoveries forensically, thanks to Bones and her Jeffersonian team, show that one of the dead teenage girls was buried alive, drugged, and had spider bites. Also, steel dust and evidence of a Hawaiin flower could provide a link to where the dead bodies were alive before death. Rider Strong is a pervert sex offender who portrays the Grim Reaper at the front of the funhouse scare ride. Later learned through interrogation that Strong's girlfriend(with multiple piercings and smart aleck mouth)liked to smack girls around a little to get her erotically charged for sex with him later. Even clothes from a church charity play a hand in identifying the dead girl found in the Halloween maze! We learn than Booth is afraid of clowns and Bones is definitely not a fan of snakes(a missing girl has this fear of snakes later realized when B & B find where the killer's hideout might be located). I think Halloween fans might get a kick out of this particular episode of BONES as it shows the Jeffersonian "squints" in costumes such as Brennan as Wonder Woman(va va voom!), team leader Camille(Tamara Taylor) as Catwoman(meowwww), Angela(Michaela Conlin) as Cher, and Booth as a nerd. This episode proves that Bones isn't exactly safe with a gun even if she expresses concern about having to need one in case of danger..Booth learns this the hard way.

Great Halloween Episode
Hitchcoc24 January 2023
The body of a young girl is found in a Halloween maze. She has been dead for at least a year. Not long after, another girl shows up in a pile of fake bodies. This is a fun episode because Halloween themes are at the center of the conversation. Everyone is getting dressed up for a party. Cam is Catwoman and Bones is Wonder Woman (and she knocks your socks off). Sometimes I forget how beautiful she is. Angela and Hodgins meet with a new PI who has located Angela's island prince husband. She is a great character (also very sexy)who makes the couple have to work hard to deal with her. There is a nice scene at the end with Booth and Brennan getting closer and closer.

The corpse in the pile of corpses
HiBonesBooth24 October 2021
Warning: Spoilers
A mummified corpse is found in a corn maze by a small child who ran into the maze and then immediately forgot what the point of a maze is. Booth also has no respect for the craft and totally cheats when it comes to finding the body in the maze.

The body's clothes lead them to a totally unconcerned thrift store man, who explains that people in clothes from his store show up dead all the time, and he has much more serious crimes to worry about, like Fornication and Gambling.

A second body is found at a Funhouse, where Booth talks to an EMT who gets a suspiciously large number of close-ups. He also talks to all the Funhouse employees and recognizes one of them from Boy Meets World, I mean from the corn maze. Turns out Boy Meets World hooks up with the girls, and then his girlfriend Lola roughs them up and sends them on their way. Later Booth threatens to start pulling out Lola's piercings not starting with the ones on her face, but I would be a lot more comfortable if he started with the ones on her face.

The squints figure out the theme of the killings, but no, Cam, the murderer is not literally scaring girls to death. He is literally drugging and burying them to death.

They call up some poor harried pet shop owners to inquire about their snake inventory, and goddamn it people, don't you know it's Halloween, PEAK snake season, and if you want a whole bunch of snakes you should really order ahead?? The killer has already scooped up all the available snakes in the area, which tells us his latest victim, Megan, is still alive.

Booth and Bones manage to save Megan! Hooray! I wonder if anyone will tell Megan her mom had already given her up for dead.

One of my Favorites
darthmaulknits11 June 2021
When I was a kid, my parents let me purchase a few shows on iTunes to watch on my iPod Touch, and this was one that I chose and watched over and over until I had it memorized. The character dynamics are so fun and entertaining in this episode and I love how you can see the team really becoming a family. It's a very warm and festive episode that is still creepy enough for Halloween.

Also, so many iconic lines from "I'm a cow--see my udder?" to "We could be Wonder Woman and Clark Kent after a really, really bad date." That's right--BOOTH AND BRENNAN WENT ON A DATE. And Brennan is so adorable spinning around like Wonder Woman changing into her costume. I love her.

P. S. Hi The Bones Booth! You rock!

An a MAZE ing Episode. (did you see what I did there?)

Warning: Spoilers
Hi BonesBooth,

Greetings from English Jan.

I like this episode, and it has all the elements I like in BONES: good Murder and plotlines for most of the main characters.

Highlights from this episode: Dr Potoska - the owner of a beautiful honeyed Radio voice. I could sit and listen to him all day.

Booth is having a little too much fun pushing those bales of hay over to get to the body and his car. You can catch his smile/glee before the camera moves away.

The marvellously creepy Miss Kipper, her part is well written and acted.

Excellent Halloween costumes well matched to the characters personas.

There is an excellent scene between Bones and Cam where they discuss the merits of their costume/characters.

The scene in the car, where Booth gently teases Bones about the guesswork done by the Jeffersonian staff.

Very Odd that Bones is now suddenly scared of snakes when in man in the morgue (Season 1 Episode 19) she was very comfortable around snakes. Very rare slip up from the writers here.

Once again, it is the end scene is the one that makes me smile and feel the most. Indeed, that would class as a bad date, but Booth & Bones both leave together smiling. I guess he has forgiven her for shooting him.

The One Where Clark Kent and Wonder Woman Go on a Really Bad Date
Not only is the one of my favorite episodes of the show, I think that this is one of the best Halloween episodes in TV, and it's sad it's underrated. I love this episode, especially with Brennan dresses up as WW, who is definitely the best superhero, which makes sense for our heroine to wear. Booth also looks really hot with glasses! I also love how they're able to rescue the girl, since most episodes do not have as happy if an ending. It's sad that Booth had to add to his kill number, but at least he saved Brennan and the girl. Also, Rider Strong was really good in this episode as a creep after years of seeing him as a good guy in BMW!

Halloween Party
mitchrmp18 July 2016
Two human mummies are found on Halloween and the team must figure out who's responsible. It's pretty eerie.

Meanwhile, everyone is getting ready to go to a Halloween party. The cast really had fun with this one. I was a bit shocked at Brennan's costume - really showed a lot of boobs - more than I figured was allowed on TV...

It was also fun seeing Bones with a gun and Booth proving a point as to why she shouldn't have a gun. This incident is referenced in future episodes. It was also pretty cool to see Brennan so "girly" about snakes, but when she was really needed, she manned up.

Hey Bones Booth Pod!

Warning: Spoilers
That poor kid in the bear costume is going to need alot of therapy. Lol ofcourse Booth would bulldoze his way through the maze. Yes that's so cool to scare kids into your religion ugh. Definitely a departure from Boy Meets World for Rider Strong. I want to know what Angela's name used to be. Ok Bones could you have been any more rude to that witness? Being frightened to death sounds terrifying. It doesn't matter how much of a sick creep he is you can't hit a suspect. Both Catwoman and Wonder Woman are awesome and both ladies looked incredible. Haha Booth as a squint was great. That PI was Booth good and bad at her job. Bones spinning at the end was cute.
