Bones: Mummy in the Maze
6 September 2010
Warning: Spoilers
It's nearing Halloween and mummified corpses are turning up(the first found in a maze), both the age of 14 years old, and it's up to FBI Special Agent Booth(David Boreanaz)and forensic anthropologist Brennan(Emily Deschanel)to discover who was behind their deaths. Lacquer and cedar oil are substances found on two bodies which might help nab the killer. A funhouse called Dungeon of 1000 Corpses, could be a location where both bodies were placed at one point(the first corpse is connected to the funhouse scare ride) . Discoveries forensically, thanks to Bones and her Jeffersonian team, show that one of the dead teenage girls was buried alive, drugged, and had spider bites. Also, steel dust and evidence of a Hawaiin flower could provide a link to where the dead bodies were alive before death. Rider Strong is a pervert sex offender who portrays the Grim Reaper at the front of the funhouse scare ride. Later learned through interrogation that Strong's girlfriend(with multiple piercings and smart aleck mouth)liked to smack girls around a little to get her erotically charged for sex with him later. Even clothes from a church charity play a hand in identifying the dead girl found in the Halloween maze! We learn than Booth is afraid of clowns and Bones is definitely not a fan of snakes(a missing girl has this fear of snakes later realized when B & B find where the killer's hideout might be located). I think Halloween fans might get a kick out of this particular episode of BONES as it shows the Jeffersonian "squints" in costumes such as Brennan as Wonder Woman(va va voom!), team leader Camille(Tamara Taylor) as Catwoman(meowwww), Angela(Michaela Conlin) as Cher, and Booth as a nerd. This episode proves that Bones isn't exactly safe with a gun even if she expresses concern about having to need one in case of danger..Booth learns this the hard way.
