Chances are most people know what to expect from WCtH. I thought that this episode captured the usual flavor of the show with perhaps a few more touching moments than a regular season episode.
Yes Elizabeth has two men chasing her, but there is far more than that going on. I thought the drama between Nathan and Allie was much more significant that Elizabeth's romantic interests. The 13 year old Jaeda Lily Miller as Allie is featured heavily.
Carson and Faith had a good story as well. (I'm sure most people noticed that Brooks was very pregnant, 9 months so according to her Instagram.) And there were other subplots featuring pretty much all the main characters.
The story also captures the joy of community especially at Christmas which is one of the strengths of WCtH.
(I thought Hallmark promised "commercial-free" all Christmas day. The 90 minutes air time has about the average amount of those.)
