Extremely Feminist
eugenio-marquez-j4 March 2020
Extremely feminist and a little over the top in portraying male toxicity.

However fun to watch and entertaining.

This serie is recommendable but...

Warning: Spoilers
I like the feminist message. But the serie concept I saw many times in the past, the final is predictable and is a publicity about Chevrolet

Surprisingly good!

I going to be honest, I had no expectations that will be this good. It starts slow, but then things get very interesting and force you to binge-watch all the episodes. I recommend you to see it if you like real life event situations (empowering, friendship, etc) and a little bit of comedy and drama.

Amazing show about Mexico and their women.
simone_mitil1 March 2020
The centerpiece of the story is Mexico, Oxaca, the back roads, the little towns. And then, there are these girls learning about their sexuality, friendships, and themselves. Empowering.

The road trip of a lifetime
alipucca1 March 2020
I was extremely excited to watch this series and THANK GOD it's here already and I cannot get enough of it. The acting of all four women is amazing, but a special shout-out to Tessa Ia, Barbara Lopez and Cory Camacho. Tessa Is expreses so much with her eyes, and the little things she does. Barbara may start in a weird position, but the sadness and emptiness she conveys with her eyes really made me feel she was in real pain. And what can I say about Cory Camacho? She was just stunning. Give this series a chance and watch it, it is feminist, empowering, it talks about the female unconditional love in friendship and about finding yourself

Finally a well made show, with interesting and modern characters
chico_chik212 March 2020
First of all, being from Oaxaca was my main hook to watch this show, but boy, I had a nice surprise, the girls were really good, their acting very natural (Tessa and Bárbara), and maybe the rest of the cast wasn't that good, however, the entire trip was a rollercoaster that portrayed a good reality of most mexican women, hopefully Netflix will make another season if needed.

Must watch! LOVED IT!
evelynrubi18 April 2020
I absolutely loved it. I've never written a review before but this series is worth the praise! I binge watched it in 1 day and couldn't get enough of it. It had a little of everything; based in the beautiful Oaxaca ( never imagined it that beautiful) it was emotional, fun, heart-warming and innocent all at the same time. I hope Netflix makes a second season, can't wait for more!!

Strong Story and Memorable Characters
pvxpearls17 May 2020
The story of 3 women on a roadtrip who get carjacked by another woman who becomes their friend. This show has so many levels and layers and is acted so well. The women are flawed and strong and real and their story deserves to continue!

Sor Juana, Thelma and Louise, Y tu mamá también
jkahle-795-95448911 April 2020
Warning: Spoilers
This is an incredibly ambitious series, that tackles a number of nuanced cultural issues, although not much is nuanced about the story line: race, class and gender in Mexico. I loved that this story develops four protagonists that are all struggling with making authentic choices. Sor Juana would be proud of how these women deal with the patriarchy and all the hombres necios (and a couple of not-so-necios) in their lives. Luckily these friends find a different option than Thelma and Louise driving into the abyss, and there are super-transparent references to the charolastras of Y tu mamá, but with a specific female bent. I am left wondering what Marcela and Mike will do to survive after the final episode, as they escape from their sadistic caretaker. Sadly there don't appear to be many viable options. As one character says, they're not "dogs in need of rescue." More of this, please! These are stories worthy of being told!

my favorite from all times!
raissacris28 February 2022
This is a show that I always catch myself missing, i'm pretty sure I've rewatched more than 10 times and it's always an amazing experience. The way the episodes give us context with the flashbacks and it just makes us understand the characters and be empathetic towards than. I love the characters, how they're built, how they're flawed, but most of all what they mean to each other. Desenfrenadas will always be my favorite, it's a shame we didn't get more of it.
