Why not have someone hold a board or shield to catch the swords. Or better have someone hold the wire after you cut it and slowly lower the sword. At the end they could have cut the vest and hold the last two wires and get out of the way. Cool idea but it was an easy solve that they made dangerous

....just keep on coming. This show keeps delivering. I'm sure it's not going to appeal to the undereducated, but for those of us with a brain, it's just plain fun.
Smart writers and decent plot lines, tune in, you won't be disappointed.

Malcolm is dressed to go on holiday to a tropical island. He looks like someone from Miami Vice.
The opening segment is certainly inspired by that show. Malcolm finds himself with his hand on a landmine underneath a dead body when he was meant to be on his way to the airport.
The murders are inspired by Alexandre Dumas; The Count of Monte Cristo. Someone is out for revenge.
All roads lead to the New York society wedding of the year. Malcolm might even get a chance to impress his mother.
It is a fun episode where victims find themselves in a booby trapped situation. Malcolm consults his father for information on the killer.
It is the show going back to its basics, formulaic but also enjoyable.

Flint Lock and Wire Cutters?

Warning: Spoilers
I had high Hope's for thos series. I hoped it would be a proper psychological thriller, one that challenges the minds of those who surpassed Jethro Bodine in grade school. Alas, it is yet another simple contrived pile. Two examples in this episode. (1)The flint lock pistol was ready to fire for Malcom's escape, even though it had been used to murder the first victim. (It takes a lot of prep to fire a flint lock.) (2) Two detectives happened to have nice pairs of wire snips, just in case they encountered a man strapped into a sword killing machine. Stupid.
