People knock 'Modern Family' but for a show to still be able to pull off episodes this funny in its 11th year says a lot about it.

I thought this was great, all the stories worked, and there's so much joy to be found in just watching this dream cast interact with each other.

So stop knocking it and just enjoy.

I just love the lessons that modern family teaches you because they make you feel happy and encouraged. This show is outstanding. The writers can make you laugh one minute and make you cry the next. My favourite storyline was Cameron and Mitchell taking lily to a pool party but then they get self conscious (the conclusion to that plot was a classic modern family scene). I said in one of my last reviews that I liked the pairing of Phil and Gloria and I still believe they are a great team. I'm so happy that Gloria has a hobby that she actually enjoys instead of the hot sauce business (I think this is a great arc for her). Claire, Haley and Alex were also put in a tricky position whilst out at lunch and I thought it was good to see the Dunphy girls talking about their problems. I feel like Joe has been a little underused in this season but I'm sure he will have some stand out moments to come.

Keep up the good episodes modern family.

A strong episode in an otherwise weak season

Modern Family is not the critically-acclaimed show it once was. But something about this episode brought a little bit of that back. Realistic & relatable plots and issues, conversations with the perfect balance of humor and well-acted emotion, natural jokes that weren't forcefully set up from a mile away, and strong acting from everyone (even Gloria and Lily brought it this episode).

I must admit that I watch out of habit now, but this episode was a pleasant surprise and left me excited for the next.
