Talking talking

I will say it once again, I hate the "Clarke is the key" thing, it just makes things uninteresting and predictable, because I know the next Clarke will say when they finally meet is " I will help but let My PeOplE go" or something like that.

I'm still confused as to why echo took supposedly Bellamy's death really hard than even his sister Octavia. It just doesn't make sense for her to be really perturbed by it.

I like Diyoza and Hope conversation much better. I like Russell (sheidheda) and Murphy's scenes too.

THAT ENDING THOUGH
Splarke222 July 2020
Warning: Spoilers
7x07 is a weak episode of The 100 that was saved by the last 5 minutes. There were some things I really didn't like with the episode: Octavia comforting Echo over the "death" of her own brother. It really baffles me how they are making it seem like Octavia isn't even phased by Bell's supposed death, how in the world does that make any sense!? The Octavia we've known and loved for 6 seasons would be going absolutely crazy over the death of her brother. The other thing I disliked also had to do with Echo, her flashback scene with Bellamy. Yet another episode passes where we don't see Bellamy... but wait, there he is in a flashback scene for 90 seconds! And.. it's a horrible one, where we see him not only forgive Echo for her past wrongdoings, but also fall for her at the same time?! It felt like a pointless, rushed scene that didn't fit well in the episode. Not to mention, Bellamy & Echo have absolutely no chemistry.

As for the positives: Lindsey Morgan crushed it with her directorial debut. I especially loved all the close up face shots of characters where we got to really see and feel their emotions. Emori, Murphy, & Sheidheda killed it this episode. I finally found myself being interested in the Sanctum storyline for the first time in Season 7. JR Bourne is an incredible actor that can suck you into a scene you otherwise normally wouldn't really care about. Gabriel killed it this episode as well in his short amount of screen time & seeing him join the anomaly team in Bardo & then come face to face with Clarke & her group at the end was incredible. Clarke Griffin's 0.2 seconds of screen time made this episode so much better for me. Getting to see her world come crashing down when hearing of Bellamy's "death" was everything I was wanting to see, I just hope they don't totally brush over it in the coming episodes. The reveal of who The Shepherd is was one that I saw coming, but was still absolutely shocked by at the same time. Bill Cadogan, a minor character from back in Season 4, turns out to be who might end up being the big bad of this season. This is an incredible way to tie into the backdoor pilot (7x08) for the potential prequel we have coming up & I'm actually really excited to see how it'll play out! What I'm still really curious about is WHO the people on Bardo are going to war against? Is it against Sanctum? People from a planet we have yet to learn about? Still tons of questions to be answered in a dwindling number of episodes left.

Hopefully after 7x08, we will get to see more of Clarke, Bellamy, & the rest of our core group. One of my biggest distastes with Season 7 is the lack of screen time for our OG characters. Let's hope Jason Rothenberg didn't completely forget about the characters that kept his show's fans invested so heavily for so long.

Good Episode...

Warning: Spoilers
I really enjoyed most of this episode, but generally speaking this season is LACKING of emotional scenes with the original Characters, and when They do show that scenes it looks so ...... WEIRD. OUT OF PLACE. Can Someone tell me Why Isn't Octavia Mourning her beloved Brother?? Why did the writters focus so much on Echo?.. it just makes no sense for me... Besides that I'm getting tired of hearing Clarke is the key to everything like I get they want us so desperately to watch next episode because is like the big one and it takes us back to before the apocalypse, BUT is that the only thing that character Anders says??....

Characters exploration and a shocking reveal.

The flaw is that this episode wasted too much time on exploring characters' feeling. The fact that this is the final season made this even worse. It just wasted too much time.

Bill is the bad guy as this show shows

Warning: Spoilers
What if they think that Clarke still has the flame and somehow need it to get Becca premheda's anomaly signature to pull her to bardo or something idk. I feel like this season is advancing and moving really slowly. The plot and story just isn't as exciting and fast as it is in other seasons. There is 3 sciences about Key in the whole series ( as far as i know ) Clarke is the key ( Bardo people) Clarke told her people that " Bellamy is the key " in season 2 ( Mount weather ) Becca told Clarke that " Neural interface is the key to everything " ( in City of light) Neural interface = direct communication pathway between an enhanced or wired brain and an external device this could help explain why Clarke is the everything . I am not sure how it works and i am still working on some theories but they are related for sure imo. I'm going to assume the full power of the stone, that they're trying to unlock, Is time travel. That why Clark is the key she the key to getting others to follow. A really good episode! I was so shocked by the Bill Cadogan reveal and Bardo's connection to the Second Dawn cult. I don't think Cadogan is a good guy - we know he is responsible for Becca's death which we learn in one of Madi's Flame flashbacks and we know he let the people in the Level 11 "decoy" bunker die. However, time does move fastest on Bardo - Anderson said they have been there for 1000 years - so maybe something happened to Cadogan that changed him. After all he seems pretty setting on ending the war. I don't think there will be time travel, but the last war could be against Shedheda. Personally I would like to see the 100 settle on Planet Beta and live out their lives peacefully. I also hope we find out more about Madi's dreams and if potentially the people on Bardo with their advance tech could repair the tech. Lastly, I want to see the final plant - Etherea - and I want to see what happened to Gaia and Bellamy.

what a let down....
meriemchaaraoui2 July 2020
Warning: Spoilers
What happened to this season? I thought it was finally getting off with episode 5, but after the disappointment that last week was, I found the episode 7 to be straight up bad. The most heavy storyline was the sanctum one, so I guess this explains why. To me, the weakest moments were the becho flashback and the echo and octavia scene which I thought were one of the most out of character and unecessary schemes that the show has ever developed : the writers are bringing this up now only to spite the fans which I find to be highly unprofessional. What I also found to be ridiculous was Octavia calling Echo her family (do you realize how huge that word is) when the two characters never had a moment that could justify theses words in the past season except for bellamy's death. Also, I feel like the show often struggles with bringing up issues in past scenes without it being too blatant they are only doing it to answer fans' requests ; the scene where Octavia apologises for beating Bellamy up, I could legit hear the writers say : "there, happy now?" I rolled my eyes so hard. Although, I liked that they gave 0.2 seconds for Clarke to find out that bellamy's dead but again, she'll probably forget about him in episode 9 so what's the point? Overall, I think what's making me so negative about this episode is the lack of screentime of both Bellamy and Clarke as it totally ruins the last season for me. Next episode seems to be interesting, but at this point, I am not sure if much could still redeem the season.

Improvement with performances but slow season.
cruise012 July 2020
(2.5 out of 5 stars).

The cast is great. But this episode is slow with its story development. Kind of boring for a final season with characters spending most of the time trying to get there friends back and together. Then tieing up all the loose ends. Might be heading in a disappointment direction.
